Enchanted Forest Enchanted Forest is a deep teal green hair dye with blue undertones that gives hair dark, earthy tones. This color can give virgin, unbleached hair green tones, but for best results we recommend lightening hair to medium level 7 blonde or lighter before use. Applying Manic Panic hair color to pre-lightened hair is the best way to assure that you will achieve the vibrant results that you see on our color swatches. Lightening with our Flash Lightning Kits to a pale blonde (level 9-10) will give the most intense results. We offer 3 bleach kits that will lighten your hair: BLUE LIGHTNING 30 VOL, FLASH LIGHTNING 30 VOL, AND FLASH LIGHTNING AMPLIFIED 40 VOL. BLUE LIGHTNING helps remove any unwanted brassiness in the hair, FLASH LIGHTNING AMPLIFIED 40 Vol is our super strength bleach kit, more powerful than the FLASH LIGHTNING 30 vol. All bleach kits will help you lighten your hair according to the instructions in the package. Blend our Mixer/Pastel-izer with any color to achieve a lighter, pastel tint that is totally on-trend. Combine any formula with the Mixer/Pastel-izer to create soft, on-trend pastel hues. This product works best when you use a whole jar of Pastel-izer with just a few drops of your desired color. A semi-permanent direct dye hair color does not contain any harmful chemicals and relies on natural vegan dyes that mostly sit on top of the hair. 1. Wash hair with a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo. Do not condition. 2. Dry hair with a blow dryer to make sure the hair is extremely porous. 3. Put on gloves and apply Manic Panic Hair Color using a tint brush making sure hair is thoroughly saturated. 4. Comb through the hair color to make sure it is evenly applied. The cream may become slightly frothy. 5. Cover hair with a plastic cap and leave on for 30-45 minutes. For more intensity, add heat. 6. Rinse with cool water away from your face and body until water runs clear. Do not shampoo. 7. Style as desired. To prevent color transfer or bleeding, always make sure your hair is completely dry. Pro Tip: Use a hair dryer to evenly apply heat for 5-10 minutes of your processing time. This will help to open up the cuticle and allow the Manic Panic hair color to better penetrate the hair strand. Make sure to allow the hair to cool completely before rinsing out color.

Update: I color every 14 -18 days. I've become quite a pro now haha. Got it down to a science in less time and mess. Vaseline is your friend. I LOVE this color - specially chosen to go with my eyes. I had my hair professionally bleached before coloring. This product made my hair shiny and vibrant. I have received a lot of compliments. This is an emerald/peacock green. And its stunning! I wash every 2nd to 3rd day in cool water. It still fades quickly but I also use more heat than I should when styling. DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR SKIN - if you can. I did get it on my scalp and it took a couple washes to get it off. I did wear gloves so my hands were fine. I also applied vaseline around my hair line and ears and it helped. I did a first rinse in my kitchen sink as it is stainless steel. Then I moved to the tub. My tub was blue for days until I bleached it which made the blue disappear instantly. Cover your hair WELL when sleeping or you will have a blue face and blue pillow cases. Use an old towel or shirt when drying it. Do not get caught in the rain without cover. It will bleed. If you have long hair do not wear a light colored shirt if you're going to wear your hair down. It will rub off onto the fabric. That also goes for shoulder length hair down on a collared shirt. I don't swim in public pools but I'd say avoid that too. This all sounds so negative but its soooooo worth the color and feel! Just want to give y'all a heads up. Sometimes sacrifices have to made. Manic panic's amplified line is more than worth the price! It is strong, fades gracefully and gradually with proper care, and the colors are true-even with my unbleached brunette hair! The only thing to remember is with this kind of potency, make sure to protect any surfaces beforehand when dyeing...it WILL stain countertops, tubs etc. I found if you do get it on something, quickly wiping it off with an isopropyl-soaked paper towel usually does the trick. I am absolutely in LOVE with this color! It's so pretty. I've washed my hair 5 times, and it's still just as bright and pretty as the day I dyed it. The only downside is that everything is blue now. Like EVERYTHING. My pores are blue. I wake up and my hands are blue from laying my head on them. My neck is blue. My shower is blue. I'm just blue daa ba dee da ba daa. I bought this for my 13 y/o who wanted to experiment with dyed hair but I was apprehensive about her using bleach on her tresses. I looked for a dye with as few (or no) harmful chemicals as possible and would be seen on dark brown hair, even if just a sheen in the sunlight. This far exceeded that! I wasn't prepared to help her dye her hair (zero experience) so I took her to the salon for application by a stylist. My daughter came out with a beautiful shade of forest green hair! (The stylist called it mermaid green). We all loved it. The longevity of the color lasting has been a little disappointing (a few weeks) BUT my girl didn't do certain things I told her like not leaving her hair wet after showering or swimming. Be prepared to bleach your bath tub every time you shower for at least a week, ha. My neck, ears, and finger tips also seem to be permanently teal. But I must say, this is absolutely without a doubt the most rewarding hair dye I've ever used! I've never had such a vibrant, thorough color job. This is what I did: I used a tinting brush to evenly distribute. I mixed in a tiny bit of conditioner so that it spread easier. I combed it through until I didn't see a single hint of blonde hiding anywhere. I blow dried it for about 2 minutes. Then, I used a heat cap / shower cap and let the dye sit for 3 hours. (Yes, 3 hours, its vegan dye and it basically deep conditions your hair.) when I took the cap off, I did another quick two minute blow dry. I rinsed for about 20-30 min in COLD water. No shampoo no conditioner. I used a shower cap for a couple days in the shower, so about 4 days after dying I rinsed with cold water again and used a deep conditioner. More shower cap useage, and today will be one week after dying. So today I will use natural gentle baby shampoo (shea moisture) with a small amount of the dye mixed in. I intend to keep this color for a while and this is the way to do that. You shouldn't be washing your hair more than once or twice a week anyway because it strips the oils. I've washed my hair once a week for 15 years and I have the most luxurious, healthy, non-greasy hair of anyone I know. The last photo is from today, aka a week since I last shampooed and as you can tell my hair isn't greasy or dirty. ... show more

I’ve never had such an issue with dye bleeding until using this. My neck and hands were constantly blue and bathtub stained. I ended up bleaching it out of my hair when it was the 7th time washing and it was like I had just dyed it. Stained my hair great though lol

This color came out a beautiful dark teal/green. I have naturally dark hair, and had previously used box black (yikes!) so my hairdresser did what she could with 40vol bleach to lighten before hand. My hair did not lift very much, but we added the teal and especially with manic panic's amplified, it lights up when the sun hits it! Be aware, as with any dye with a blue undertone or blue deposits - expect EVERYTHING and anything to get dyed blue. Running your hands through your hair? Blue fingers. Wearing your hair down? Blue neck. I've found this is the norm for any blue dye, so just a heads up on what to expect! Highly recommend MP amplified. If you take care to wash with a color depositing conditioner like Overtone, or a high quality color last shampoo conditioner and only in cool water, the color lasts me almost two months before I have to redo! ... show more
