It's easy to apply, and even though my hair was only medium brassy blond (I had to bleach it from dark brown and my hair is very thick), it stuck to my hair so well! And I only needed to use half the bottle. I've touched it up once so far and the color continues to be really nice. I also like that even when it fades it's a nice color. It didn't bleed much for me! I had my hair done originally at the salon, where they lifted the color and then added pink on top. The pink faded within just a couple weeks to a pinkish orange and I didn’t want to continue to go back to the salon. I do need to refresh this every 2 to 3 weeks but having done it twice now with really thick long hair I haven’t even used half a bottle yet. For reference, my highlights are only on the bottom 5 to 6 inches of my hair. I will definitely continue to use this and also bought a bottle of the purple to try at some point. This is my signature color ✨ I first tried this color specifically in July 2020, I’ve been using arctic fox since like 2017 after battling with pink (just the nature of the color) I wanted a more hands off color, so I tried purple and loved it, but then I got bored with that after a year or so and once I got this blue in my hair and saw it dried. That’s all she wrote it’s been my hair color ever since I’ve included photos of various stages of washes. The last one is almost six months without a redye and YEARS without bleaching my dark blonde hair. First is with a fresh lightening and the color after one wash to get residual color out. Using this brand all these years I’ve picked up a few tricks to make this color go as long as possible (and make it impossible to get out probably) 1. Let that dye marinate in your hair, the bottle says about 30 minutes, I’d go for about 3 hours minimum. Sleep in it if you can. The dye is conditioner based so it’s not going to harm it whatsoever (probably do the opposite!) I leave mine in for about 6 hours or so, I usually take a cozy nap on redye day with a towel on my pillow to prevent staining 2. Do not wash it for the first 48 hours, any dye you left in is going to saturate into the follicle even more, hopefully staining it in the process. Cold water those first few washes where the color is still bleeding out after shampoo is VITAL bc that’s indication the follicle hasn’t closed all the way 3. Don’t just shampoo before you apply, if you can handle it use a clarifying shampoo and absolutely do NOT conditioner whatsoever before applying the dye, you want the follicle as open and dry as possible to help make sure it absorbs the color Also EVERYONES HAIR IS DIFFERENT just because this dye works great for me doesn’t mean it’s going to achieve the same result on you~ 🖤 ... show more

I've wanted to go red for a long time but will never bleach or treat my hair so this seemed like a fun way to experiment. I got the Ginger Flare color and tried a test strip of hair for an hour then rinsed it out. I didn't notice any difference in color or texture so went all in and put the entire bottle in my hair and left it in for 3-4 hours. I rinsed it out with cold water and went to bed. I did not have any staining in my tub but USE AN OLD PILLOWCASE OR TOWEL. I used an old one and it was very orange in the morning and a little soaked through onto my pillow cover. Take the warnings seriously and wear dark or old clothes the first day or two. The dye seems to come out fine in the wash but don't risk it. It was super red in the morning but after a hot shower the color toned down a lot. I really like it. My hair is normally medium to dark brown and the color change was noticeable but somewhat subtle. I would say it's comparable to the example pictures they gave for dark brown hair, just a little less saturated. When my hair is wet or sweaty there can be a very small amount of color bleed but it's very light. I'm not wearing nice white shirts but everything else seems fine. Now for the reason I'm only giving it 4 stars: It's only been in a few days and the color seems to be fading already (despite barely washing out in the shower anymore). To me this isn't an issue because I wanted to try something short term but I think others may want it to last longer. That being said, if you take steps to maintain it like leaving it in even longer at the start, only washing your hair with cold water, or if your hair is treated/lighter, it will probably last much longer. I really like trying this product and would recommend it to anyone wanting a short term change, but for some it might not last long. ... show more

I love having red hair but had trouble figuring out which brand I wanted to try. I’ve never tried this brand but had seen YT videos about it. Love how it turned out using the Poison color. I actually ended up using this with another brand of red called, “ Loreal Excellence Hicolor H09 Tube Red Hot” and mixed it all together. If you have medium hair or longer and you want to make sure your hair gets completely saturated, definitely buy 2-3 bottles of one of each brand to mix together and then finish with plastic wrap around the head. The bottle said to leave on for 30min but by the time I washed it out, it might have been around 45min. Used cool water and shampoo for red heads. 10/10. Poison smelled SO good for hair dye, I was quite impressed. The other brand I used that I had mentioned was a very intense aroma in comparison. Overall, love how it turned out! I've been bleaching and dying my hair fun colors for years now and i usually use different brand but i couldnt get a good green color that i wanted so i tried this one and had great color results. But the color bleeds for a good week or two after dying. Bleeds like I've never seen before. I woke up to green on my pillow and blankets and on my face, throughout the day I'd have green all down the back of neck and on my clothes, had green hands every time i touched my hair. Yikes.
