Manic Panic is my favorite purple in existence. I use this purple with Artic Foxes Transylvania, to do a split hair color. This purple has heavy saturation, and is holistic and doesn't burn or damage your hair. I leave it in for about 2 hours to achieve the saturation I desire then wash it out with cold a water as I can stand, and continue to use cold water to wash my hair everytime thereafter. It usually keeps the color vibrant and beautiful for 4 to 6 weeks. Then it's time to reapply. For the price I can't complain about a thing, it's perfect for my usage.

AVOID!!! DO NOT BUY!!! TERRIBLE PRODUCT!! The results displayed on the color chart are not accurate. Was hoping for a very light purple/gray color and it turned my hair green. Have been bleaching and dying my hair like this for years and had the same experience with Manic Panic and Lime Crime grays. Gave Amethyst Ashes a shot according to the color chart and results other users posted. Would really like to get my money back because my hair color is now causing an issue with my job when green hair wasn't my fault.

I've used this since it came out for my grey hair... I've been going grey for 15 mos now and it's a process. this stuff helps keep the yellowing out... I also mix it with a white conditioner and leave it in for a few hours too - works wonders! feels great in my hair too! doesn't deposit a lot of color, just helps the silver become more bright and keeps any yellow away! love it !

Product arrived quickly and as always , it is easy to use. However , I’m used to this color having a violet chrome type of hue. It looked slightly darker than usual but I didn’t think anything of it. Applied the color and on wash out I was disappointed. For some reason this jar is more of a smoky teal/blue town. Not a purple hue in sight. I’ll use it but not what I was planning or hoping for sadly

I am a licensed Cosmetologist, so I know color. I have been using Manic Panic for decades. But these silver/grey tones do not really look like you would expect them to. I have also tried the blue steel and alien grey. The undertones are not really there, they act more like a toner and color deposit is minimal on even lightest blond hair. I love the shine and conditioning they give, like all their semi permanent colors,but for me they fall flat.

If your hair is bleached it probably works fine, but I’m pretty salt and pepper. I used this to give my grays a bit of purple tone. Followed the instructions, left on 45 mins, and nothing. Not a bit of color showed. I’m going to try again with a brighter purple, but just an fyi to my fellow silver sisters! This ain’t it! UPDATE: The Purple Haze color worked! I mixed 1/3 of the container with a cup of conditioner. 👍🏼

I totally forgot that a cool purple like Amethyst Ashes has blue undertones. I used this is time my slightly brassy blind highlights, and for the most part it came out a pretty sandy blonde that blends well with my light brown roots. The only issue is that the tips of the highlights have a slight greenish blue tinge. Oops! Guess I'll stick with Virgin Snow.
