Name brand (not a knockoff). Yes, amplified formula in tall bottle really is more vivid than the thinner solution in the tub. Bottle sucks though, too stiff to squeeze so you’ve gotta dump it in a bowl. It you haven’t dyed your hair bright before, bleach it first. Whether you have fresh bleach or not, put this color onto washed but not conditioned, and dry hair. Use latex or nitrile gloves (doctor or mechanic gloves) and prep your hairline and ears with Vaseline, wear crappy dark clothes - expect to get dye on your shoulders and arms. If it gets on your skin it can be scrubbed off with normal soaps but the longer it’s on, the harder to get off. Apply dye to hair like a leave in conditioner only more neatly, don’t be skimpy, or I you’ve done box dyes it’s the same concept - get it aaaallllll over every hair. Don’t panic about “wasting” dye left in the bottle, this stuff is shelf stable and doesn’t get all weird if you leave it like box dyes do... this isn’t mixed or blended at home, it really is like a conditioner. What’s in the one and only bottle is what goes on your hair, leftovers can be left in the bottle until you want to redye another day. Once applied, Leave on as long as you want, I recommend at least 45 min but I like to do over an hour. Wrapping your head with cling film will help keep it mess free as you go about your chores or whatever. In the shower it’s a total mess washing it off but that’s normal. Don’t bother washing or conditioning after it’s completely rinsed because this formula IS a conditioner. On bleached hair this color shows up really well and when it fades out it’s still cool. Every time you wash the color will fade, moreso if the water is hot. Hot tip, add some of this color to your conditioner (then leave in for as long as you can) for an anti-fade boost on wash days. It takes about two weeks so 3-4 washes from this to go from awesome hot pink to washed out faded pastel pinkish yellow on my bleached hair. I’ve tried a lot of other bright hair dyes over the decades and if you want cool color at home this (on bleached hair) is your best bet.

LOVE this color! Super hot hot pink just like it says! Works great and lasts forever compared to other hair dye products. Extremely bright and vibrant color that is true to what is described/pictured. I have been using Manic Panic hair dyes for many years but wanted to try this Amplified color to glow under black light and it is very bright and colorful and looks awesome! It seems to last way longer than other ones I have tried in the past and stays very pink and bright even after many washes (and I wash my hair everyday so usually color comes out pretty fast so if you don't wash your hair daily it would last even longer with a very bright color all the way through until you dye it again.) I bleach my hair first before applying and I love that with Manic Panic products you can apply them and leave them on as long as you want without damaging your hair (If anything, it seems like the longer you leave it on to soak in completely, the better and more conditioned your hair is after bleaching and drying it out!) One time I fell asleep with this product in my hair and it was in for hours but it was nice to wake up and still have hair! Lol Let alone very nice feeling and completely saturated with color. Washes out nicely without too much color coming out or bleeding on all your pillowcases, clothes, towels, etc. Also, if you get this dye on your skin it washes off easily without staining too much. Love love love this hair dye...will never get another hot pink color again!

i LOVE manic panic. i always dilute my dye with conditioner , i've dyed my whole head (my hair is very thick and goes down to my chest area) multiple times with the this and still have lots left ! the color lasts super long and stays vibrant in the hair as long as your base is even :) i always put my hair up in a shower cap and put some heat on it with a blow dryer and it really helps make the color super bright !! i also blow dry my hair before i put the color on so it can absorb better ! the only thing i don’t like about this dye, is that it smells a little weird. it doesn’t really bother me though cause i mix it with some good smelling cheap conditioner. over all, this dye is GREAT and totally worth the price point !!

It's a fantastic color when applied, and if you lighten your hair right, you don't have to use much dye to color it. I had it mixed in with the other colors, and it faded out to a light purple after maybe six washes. It faded out so much that I was able to put electric lizard green over it, but I'm completely fine with that because I love changing my hair a lot. From roots -> tips I used: -After midnight -Atomic Turquoise -Siren Song -Electric Lizard Green and Hot Hot Pink

Before and after. One bottle was not enough. My hair is not thick but it is long af. I also purchased a bottle of the cotton candy that didnt take to my hair on the test strand so I used it to extend the HotHot Pink. About 1/3 cotton candy and entire bottle of hot hot pink. It was a bit runny which I ended up liking because it spread better through my hair during application. This color stained absolutely every thing it came in contact with and dyed a test strand of hair in a matter of seconds. I will be using conditioner to extend it a bit when I do touch ups. Over all, great coverage once added to. Color took very well. Didnt notice any smell. Is so freaking pink! First time MP user. I love it. Suposed to be uv activated but I dont have a black light yet. Will update.
