The color took nicely to his hair where most others have failed. He won't bleach his hair so I have tried several other brands that claim they can color the hair even if you don't bleach or lighten it first. But this is the first one that actually came through. My local stores run out of this particular color, Ruby Red, pretty quick, and they sell for a few dollars more. I absolutely love this brand, leave hair soft and shiny, easy to apply, doesnt stain your skin at all. Stains countertops, but after a few cleanings those stains fade remarkably.

I was surprised it was able to take my orange hair to a nice deep red. It did look like someone had opened it or that it was resold after a return or something. But over all it did the job.

I love this color probably more than any I've tried and I've been dyeing my hair for years, but it washes out very quickly. Usually I would dye my hair a vibrant red (think Feria intense reds, etc.) and it would last 4--6wks, this stuff looks washed out in 2--3wks. Also it seems like there's less product than most at-home hair dye so if your hair is thick or long you may need a second bottle. ... show more
