I used the LB1 Ultra Cool Blonde to lighten some of my dark hair. My hair is naturally dark but I have been coloring and/or highlighting it for years. I want to gradually get it lighter for the summer. I used a highlighting brush from a previous kit to brush through parts of my hair and left it on for 60 minutes. I was amazed at how well it lifted and how healthy my hair feels! I plan to use again in a few months to hopefully lighten even more. So i did research after research after research. I was skeptical at first and on the fence due to some negitive reviews. PLEASE DONT FOCUS ON THOSE NEGITIVE REVIEWS! This product did exactly as i was wishing for. Ive always colored my hair since i was a teenager. Im in my late 30s now. I stopped a few years ago as i started having some health concerns and couldnt manage to keep my arms up for too long or my fingers not cramping after a few mintues. So i started going to a salon. Whelp after 3 visits to the salon i had to go back to doing it myself. They destroy my hair. The color comes out (mostly) the correct color but the damage and breakage my hair receives is horrifying. When i step into a salon they always compliment my hair and say how good it looks then are shocked when i say i do it myself from a box. (They almost faint) but, if yall know how to take care of your hair during the process and after ive learned from personal experience its better to do it yourself and its cheaper. Might not be as convenient but thats a compromise im willing to take. Now i didnt achieve this look with just the box alone. I did use a toner. The 2nd picture is what my hair looked like before the toner. So please please use a good toner after u use the box color. I do love the creame developer and i love this product did not burn or itch at all during the process. It says to not leave on over an hour and i was right at the hour mark. The conditioner smells great but i havent used it yet as i always deep condition after i color. If you were on the fence like me...just go for it, if you know what you are doibg u will be very happy! ... show more

I used to use Feria Hyper Platinum but I swear the dye would only stay in my hair for about 4 weeks before the roots would come out. Sometimes I think this was exacerbated by whatever shampoo I was using. I was so tired of the short life of the color that I decided to try this Garnier. I only gave it 4 stars for now because I don't know about the longevity, I just put it on my hair 2 days ago. I did notice that in putting the dye on it seemed to have more of a moisture element to it than Feria. The lightening capability and the evenness was alot better than Feria as well. I didn't see any weird glumpy yellow patches as even the darker hair lightened up to a bleached color. The conditioner is a light lavender rather than a harsh purple color which I can appreciate because those intense purple hair products generally stick in my hair and I can't get that tone out. It is your typical hair dye smell, nothing fancy or fruity or perfumed. The conditioner smells nice. Another thing, sometimes when I would use Feria like a day later when my hair was dry, little breakage strands would come flying out when I brushed. I didn't really see this with Garnier. I am praying the longevity is good because if it is, Garnier is the winner. ... show more

so happy with the results!! kept on for 30 minutes. The conditioner smells so good and makes your hair super soft. It got my hair back to how it was when I went to the salon, but for only $9. I had dyed my hair due to grays, hated the results (red, copper, chestnut brown - wanted med brown) tried Loreal Toner - smokey bronde- pretty, but washed out in 2 washes - back to copper brown - tried Fanola no orange shampoo - nothing - tried Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo and saw a bit of a change to ash - better - did this after waiting 4 days, and couldn't be happier!! highly recommend.
