I've been dying my hair with Manic Panic "Wildfire" for years now and nothing else I've tried really compares. The color is closest to an Ariel red or fiery red-orange. It is definitely vibrant, and I get compliments on it in public all the time, but it's also the closest thing to an "unnaturally" bright color professionally permitted for me to have at work. My natural hair is a dark auburn, so I do have to lighten my hair beforehand on occasion between colorings - Manic's 40 Volume Flash Lightning Bleach Kit left in for about 10min does the trick for me without frying anything. Otherwise, the color goes on super vibrantly and is exceptionally easy to apply. The coverage is also fairly good, a little goes a long way. My hair is roughly just past my shoulder blades / almost to the middle of my back in length and a medium thickness, it takes one full container to cover it. The dye is also restorative in itself, which is amazing. The only damage you'll get will be from bleaching your hair beforehand, the dye itself has never caused me any problems. People are always surprised at how healthy my hair is despite how long I've kept it dyed like this. I feel like my hair is at its healthiest and softest, if anything, whenever I'm using Manic Panic dye versus when I've went without it or with other options. This and Nature's Bounty hair growth gummies are my lifesavers, I definitely notice the difference when I'm not using them. Tips: • Make sure you leave the dye in your hair for at least 40min. You cannot leave the dye in for too long. I usually go 45-60min. • Mix a small amount of the dye with your regular conditioner, it'll refresh the color a bit and make it last longer. • Use vaseline along your hairline, neck, ears, etc. anywhere you want to be able to more easily remove dye on your skin.

Manic panic is a cheap alternative for vibrant color. It gets the job done, but I prefer Pulp Riot. The vibrancy is greater and lasts longer.

A before and after of my hair, used this product before and my hair looked like a bright orange and it’s very yellow now. I understand the green in my hair could cause the color to be a little off but I figured the RED would cancel it out absolutely no red in the actual bottle. Hoped the color in the bottle looked weird because of the heat in my area but I don’t believe it was now. Color washed out into the tub YELLOW!!
