Description

Cleo Rose Cleo Rose is a bright, warm magenta dye. Cleo Rose can give rosy tones to virgin, unbleached hair, but for best results, we recommend lightening hair to a light level 8 blonde or lighter before use. 1. Wash hair with a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo. Do not condition. 2. Dry hair with a blow dryer to make sure the hair is extremely porous. 3. Put on gloves and apply Manic Panic Hair Color using a tint brush making sure hair is thoroughly saturated. 4. Comb through the hair color to make sure it is evenly applied. The cream may become slightly frothy. 5. Cover hair with a plastic cap and leave on for 30-45 minutes. For more intensity, add heat. 6. Rinse with cool water away from your face and body until water runs clear. Do not shampoo. 7. Style as desired. To prevent color transfer or bleeding, always make sure your hair is completely dry. Pro Tip: Use a hair dryer to evenly apply heat for 5-10 minutes of your processing time. This will help to open up the cuticle and allow the Manic Panic hair color to better penetrate the hair strand. Make sure to allow the hair to cool completely before rinsing out color.

  • Fun and temporary way to test new colors
Color lasts vibrantly for about a week and for two to three weeks afterwards it turns a nice fade. Might just be all the chemicals in my tap water causing the fast fading though. I used it on unbleached natural blonde hair and it turned out not super neon, more of a medium dark pink, which is what I was going for. Also didn’t stain skin too badly even when I got it on my scalp, which I was surprised by. Sincd my hair wasn’t bleached I ended up leaving the dye in for an hour or two, which worked out better than the recommended time on the bottle, and then right before I washed it out I used a blowdryer to heat it all up for a few minutes. Not sure how safe it is to leave it in for a while, though. I didn’t experience any damage to my hair whatsoever, but again my hair is unbleached and naturally pretty thick and healthy. I didn’t use any products specifically for dyed hair either, just the normal hydrating shampoo I always use. ... show more

  • Perfect
I have a ton of hair, but it took exactly one tub to cover it all. This color, Cleo Rose, walks the line between fuchsia and magenta. My hair is highlighted, so some strands are blond, some caramel, and some brown. It really makes the color look more ‘natural’ to have the variation in bright pink vs pink overlaying brown. I left it on a long time and only wash hair like once a week. I use a color protectant pre-treatment before washing with cold water and the color lasted from Easter into June. As it fades, it gives you new fun color to enjoy. I do find it makes my hair a bit dry, but I do a conditioning treatment right after and that helps. Amazon was out last time I needed to color my hair, so I used divine wine mixed with hot hot pink. Slightly more magenta result that is fading more towards pink after one of two washes. Fun! ... show more

  • Pretty color, stains hair
Pretty color! I've used 2-3 other manic panic pinks before and I have to say that this is the only color that stained my hair and refuses to leave. It's stuck on the upper half of my hair. It leaves a nice ombre effect I guess. Haven't tried dying over it yet so can't vouche on how it covers up. My hair has been bleached one, in some parts twice. I think I'm a level 8/9 and dyed my hair in March 2026 ... show more

  • Impressive!
I used Cleo Rose on my lightened mids & ends and on about 5-6 months of virgin regrowth. It’s been 4 weeks and it still hasn’t faded from my regrowth & my grays still have a pinky-red tint! I never thought it could last this long on my regrowth because I wash my fine/wavy hair every other day, but it has some real staying power there! The porous parts of my hair (level 7-8) lasted about 2 weeks of full vibrancy and then faded to a rose gold shade. I’m working on growing out my natural hair, so this is a nice alternative to permanent dyes that I’ll likely use again. ... show more

  • Cleo Rose works well on nonbleached hair
I used Cleo Rose on my normal hair which is a medium sort of blonde color without any lightening or bleaching. I did leave it in for over an hour and used a blow dryer on hot to dry it before I rinsed it out. It came out very vivid and much better than I expected! The first photo is the day after coloring it, second photo is after one washing in cool water and color safe shampoo, and the third photo is my normal color for reference. It faded to a nice rose gold-ish after a week or so but lasted overall about 3 weeks. I washed my hair more frequently than I should have though :/ I've dyed my hair pink several times over the years and I would call this color closer to red or deep magenta than pink, which was what I expected. Its a gorgeous color that I think I'm going to use again very soon! ... show more

  • Not the put in and go product
Only thing I don’t like about it is after applying it has to sit for 30mins, then u rinse it out. And color is there. But just wanted to rub, dry, and leave. Guess I bought the wrong one
