Santa left these in my daughter’s stocking. She has chocolate brown hair. The colors were vivid enough for us to make a lovely rainbow. She was pleased. I must say that you need to thoroughly wet the hair, not the chalk. I also removed the chalk from the applicator “comb” and painted the dry chalk onto her damp hair. The instructions claim this goes on by combing. It did not. I tried it on damp hair, wet hair and dry hair. None worked. Eventually taking it out of the comb and rubbing it on my son’s head it got some color. But no way that would work for the rainbow hair pictured. Color shows in my daughter’s dirty blond hair, it’s faint but works. She’s 5. The chalk makes the texture of her hair greasy and tangled. So we limit the coloring & wash out immediately at end of day. She finds fun to add a bit of color for holidays and I like it washes out easily.
