  • A SURPRISING BARGAIN
I know the five stars speak for themselves, but I do think some of my thoughts might be useful. First, I do have experience with other hearing aids/amplifiers. In 2008 I got a Bernafon unit from Costco (I'm using the singular because I'm deaf in my left ear, so I only need one device for my 'good' ear). It was OK but I stopped using it soon after because I got a job in construction and the two don't mix. When I retired I tried it again but when I went to Costco to ask them to adjust it, they literally laughed at me because it was so 'old.' They no longer had the software to do even a simple volume increase. Then I learned that Costco usually LOCKS their hearing aids so no one else can adjust them. I tried one of those PockeTalker things for the 'aimability' of the microphone, but that was not the fix I'd hoped it would be. Then in late '25 I was researching OTC devices. Most websites had similar lists of recommended brands, but I stumbled on the Oricle in a list from Forbes. I decided that for $100 it was worth a try before I went down the $$$$ rabbit hole. A bit about me: I'm 77, live alone, and really just wanted something to help in social situations. I wasn't expecting anything great, but my prior experience is that NO hearing aid gives you something 'great.' It's not like a pair of glasses. Anyway, these have really surprised me. They have their shortcomings ($100 after all) but for someone like me, I think they do the job. I find the device quite comfortable and easy to adjust on the fly. The build quality seems quite upmarket for the price, and the owner's manual, while pretty pedantic, is pocketable and clear, with exactly ONE typo (a remarkable achievement for a Chinese product). There is a learning curve but that's the norm. Perhaps the best surprise for me is that I can use the left one in my functional right ear, so I always have a backup. So I'd say that unless you need refined adjustability or have the dexterity of someone in mittens, give these a try. I'm very glad I did. ... show more

  • Customer service dumped me after bugging
I have 2 other OTC hearing aids and I will say oricle ear sounded the best. The sound is more normal not like the other 2. They dont perform like an expensive hearing aid but I felt like it was an acceptable affordable option. The joke of the house is I got dog hearing. The family was use to saying things even in the room with out me hearing, now when I wore them they had to pay attention. Im not a big fan having thing in my ear so I have not been wearing them too much. I may have used them 10 times since I bought them. My issue has to do with customer service. I recently went to start using them again and the left one was not working. It charged correctly, it powered on, you can press the multi function button and hear the beeps. But no sound was coming through. It was effectively like having an ear plug in but you can hear an amplified static white noise. My wife's voice, or tv was not coming through. I emailed support and with in a minute I was getting a reply. For 45 minutes they kept walking me through the same steps, is the charge charged, is the left hearing aid in the correct charging spot, is it secure when attached, did it fully charge, clean the hearing microphone aid, clean the tip, try adjusting the volume, place back on charger, hold multi function button to manually turn off and place on charger. After 45 minutes to an hour of repeating their commands they said the left ear could be faulty. Now every time I emailed them. i got a response immediately. After they admitted the left ear may be faulty, they went quiet, no more responses. What started off as a positive experience with what was thought with great customer service on a product you were fairly satisfied with turn to a bad experience and a unhappy customer. This is why I give it a 1 star, it doest help that I only have 1 hearing that works. If the company reads this and makes things right, I will update this review. ... show more

  • Lots for your money!
These are nothing short of great. They sound better that the thousands of dollars the ENT wanted me to buy. Its amazing that these 2.0's are better than the sorry ones for to much money. Whoever invented these Oricle's was doing a lot of people a favor, providing the best sound for very little money and they are not built cheaply. They also provide you with the "getting use to" instructions as the brain takes about 30 days untill it trains the brain to slowly get use to them and starts with 2 hours a day and works up to getting use to them as if they arent there. Im convinced these are the best! ... show more

  • they just didnt fit
these hearing aids worked but they made me sound like I was inside a barrel. the ear domes did not fit my ears, so the hearing aids would not go inside my ears. I will be returning these hearing aids to Amazon

  • As good as advertised
I have worn more expensive Hearing Aids for the last six or seven years, and recently lost one. I decided to try these Oricle hearing aids to see what they were like. The Oricle Hearing Aids are not true hearing aids; they are sound amplifiers. They amplify the sound around you in the upper registers but not in the lower sound levels. They are ok for mild hearing loss, but they are not going to resolve moderate or severe hearing loss. Thatis why I rated them 4 out of 5 stars. ... show more

  • Great hearing aid low price
I have tried other budget hearing aids and have found these to be by far the best .. It immediately helped me hear things that I had been missing out on . My wife is happy I don't have to have the TV turned up to a level that hurts her ears and she doesn't have to constantly repeat herself . I used the smallest cups and they stay in place and do not feel like they are going to fall out.. Not sure what to expect from 100.00 hearing aid, but I feel I certainly got my money's worth . ... show more

  • Great price, good quality so far!
No problems, yet. I got these on July 4th. So far they are as advertised. No problems. I’m wearing them 2-4 hours a day. The volume and restaurant feature all work fine. I used to have behind the ear devices( lost them and a vacation). I like the in the ear much better, easy to use and quickly recharge. Very happy with them so far and I like the charging case( very compact)If these hearing aids become problematic then I’ll rewrite my review ... show more
