  • Hearing aids that work!
This is the first time my husband has worn a set of hearing aids for more than one hour because the old aids never modulated. These hearing aids do what hearing aids were supposed to do is for the first time allow him to hear. Last pair from the VA cost over $7,000 dollars, this the third pair from the VA has never worked. No batteries to charge. ... show more

  • Customer service dumped me after bugging
I have 2 other OTC hearing aids and I will say oricle ear sounded the best. The sound is more normal not like the other 2. They dont perform like an expensive hearing aid but I felt like it was an acceptable affordable option. The joke of the house is I got dog hearing. The family was use to saying things even in the room with out me hearing, now when I wore them they had to pay attention. Im not a big fan having thing in my ear so I have not been wearing them too much. I may have used them 10 times since I bought them. My issue has to do with customer service. I recently went to start using them again and the left one was not working. It charged correctly, it powered on, you can press the multi function button and hear the beeps. But no sound was coming through. It was effectively like having an ear plug in but you can hear an amplified static white noise. My wife's voice, or tv was not coming through. I emailed support and with in a minute I was getting a reply. For 45 minutes they kept walking me through the same steps, is the charge charged, is the left hearing aid in the correct charging spot, is it secure when attached, did it fully charge, clean the hearing microphone aid, clean the tip, try adjusting the volume, place back on charger, hold multi function button to manually turn off and place on charger. After 45 minutes to an hour of repeating their commands they said the left ear could be faulty. Now every time I emailed them. i got a response immediately. After they admitted the left ear may be faulty, they went quiet, no more responses. What started off as a positive experience with what was thought with great customer service on a product you were fairly satisfied with turn to a bad experience and a unhappy customer. This is why I give it a 1 star, it doest help that I only have 1 hearing that works. If the company reads this and makes things right, I will update this review. ... show more

  • Price point is worth it!
They ear tips are available in 3 sizes. My dad does have issues slightly in one ear that his ear canal is very small. However overall he makes it work and can hear better. So the price of this investment versus thousands for hearing aids is a positive bonus

  • In the ear hearing aids
I have had these hearing aids for 11 days now. I was very concerned because my left ear, the canal is very narrow, plus the hearing in that ear is very limited to nothing, Even with the hearing aid. No problem with the fit, it took me a little bit to figure out how to get them in properly, because I'm used to the behind the ear hearing aids. I have worn the expensive behind the ear hearing aids for 3 years, and have had one fixed at my expense, and now the other one does not work, and of course they do not have audiology at the hospital anymore. So I thought I would try these. I always had trouble on the phone with the behind the ear hearing aids, not being able to hear properly. These in the ear hearing aids are great! If you're someone that has to use the phone (a landline) often, like I have to, because of being in business, I hear great! The only problem I have, which will probably take me a little bit, is putting them in my ear and I'm hitting the volume button, which makes it bad on the ear that has extreme hearing loss, and I do not hear the beeps unless it's the last one. I do wish that they would go a little bit louder for my extremely bad ear. But it's better than nothing, and better than paying $5300. Over all pretty satisfied with them. ... show more

  • Good for the price as a back-up
Debated whether to give 3 or 4 stars. My $5000 Oticon hearing aids - Audiologist prescribed - are 4 years old which I am very happy with, but one button has failed - need to send for repair. Needed something for the couple or so weeks turnaround - these are just amplifiers not true aids. Previously owned Audien aids before the Oticon and Hansaton before that so have had long experience with behind-ear aids. The Oricle aids were cheap so, given the cheapness, maybe they are a 4* for what they are, their price and overall performance. The little charger/holder is convenient but does not snap shut so to carry in your pocket say, you need an elastic band. Comes with three sizes of tips, none were small enough for my canal - I used my Oticon ones, which fitted fine, seems like the wax shield is universal type. It comes with a small brush for cleaning. It took me quite a while to adapt to these:- A. because I haven't used in-ear previously and B. the 2 modes and the volume settings are tough to get right, watching TV using restaurant mode my wife next to me on the couch sounded like she was talking into a bucket. Out on the golf course the wind did cause some whistling issues but they were ok after 18 holes of use - my Oticon are Bluetooth and interfere with my Arccos golfing app so I will use these Oricle ones in future when golfing. The one issue I did find was in changing the volume - you can't go up and down - so you end up getting to max volume - you can't press too fast as this changes the mode but too slow and your ears get blasted - definitely problematic. Set them up in a quiet location first and be aware of this volume issue. The recharging is quick and easy; first time use after charging they did last all day on the single charge. Cosmetically, they are typical of in-ear aids that are relatively hidden in the ear. I like the printed L and R on the aids - no confusion there. I am OK with these as a backup. If I was looking for a more permanent fix but still but low(ish) cost, I would look at ones that are more sophisticated which will likely be around $300. ... show more

  • Buyer Needs to be Aware ...
Just today returned these Oricle aids back to Amazon. I was looking forward to an advertised great quality and affordable hearing product when I purchased it. Didn't turn out that way. I'm not a new hearing aid customer. Been wearing them for some years now. First off the Oricle aids I received were not in the anticipated red/blue color style as in the ad but both were a totally dull flesh tone with no markings for left and right receivers. This made for some confusion when the aids were mixed up and I didn't know which ones were which. These things also were HUGE - slightly larger than my thumb. I cannot stress this enough! This made ear insertion and removals quite the challenge. Made my stretched ear channels sore after a couple of hours too. There was no attached "tab" on the devices that would have made removal some what easier. Sound quality was a disappointing 'meh' for such a positively advertised product. Still could not hear the turn signals in my car. I am not recommending to avoid a purchase. However the buyer needs to be aware of my recent issues. Your experience might be quite different. ... show more

  • Outstanding Results!
These hearing aids are fabulous! I couldn't believe how well they work. The case charging is very simple and effective. I get about 10 to 11 hours usage from each charge and the case allows about 6 or seven charges before re-charging the case on my computer USB port. They come with several ear sizing caps and I use the smallest one for comfort. The botton on each hearing aid supports several settings for different back-ground environments with the push of a button. Really functional and effective for me. I have about 48% to 50% capabilty in each ear without them. Now, I'm easily in the 95% range and they have litterally changed my life. I couldn't recommend them more highly. It's important to read the directions that come eith them for the best results. Enjoy! ... show more
