  • Great Features, Great Results
I waited several years after realizing that I needed hearing aids before I did some research and took an online hearing test which indicated a mild hearing loss. Elehear seemed to have the most in an over-the-counter hearing for a very reasonable cost so I tried them. They were easy to set up. Their app was intuitive and offered versatility. It allowed you to adjust not only the sound output level, but also the brightness and noise processing levels. After you find something that works you can name it and save it as a customized level. They offer several examples that you can edit and save as well. It was more than I had imagined. I could hear the hummingbirds chirp at each other and I didn’t have to struggle to understand my grandson any more. They fit well over my ears even though I wear eyeglasses. When I compared the size against that of a friend they were slightly larger seemingly due to having a larger battery. The larger battery works though. Even after wearing for over 16 hours the app reports 40% left. That includes listening to music and talking on my cellphone which works wonderfully. I had some questions and Elehear support was always quick to respond to emails, often on the same day. I don’t need the tinnitus feature and I haven’t tried the language translator yet, but Bluetooth music from my cellphone sounds great through these hearing aids. I just wish I’d tried them sooner. ... show more

  • They are amazing! Buy a pair, you'll love them!
Wow what can I say, for $600 these are some pretty amazing pieces of equipment. I cannot believe how clear they do sound and how well they handle incoming calls, playing music, and with talking. My high and low speech problem areas are eradicated with these hearing aids. I have had several sets in the past, one set was $4,000.. luckily I didn't have to pay for those! But I can tell you these work as good or better than those did at the time. Sure I hesitated, I waited so long that I missed out on the $100 discount.. but that didn't stop me I bought them anyway. These have been life-changing, they are comfortable, they work well beyond any of my expectations. I have a cheaper pair of in the ear type, I don't care for them and I can't use them for more than maybe a couple hours because my ears are hurting. The first day I put these in, literally they were in for 12 to 14 hours without taking them out. Never faltered never failed. When you buy these just make sure for peace of mind to get the asurion warranty through Amazon. That is my advice for anyone, I have the monthly payment for asurion which everything is protected for me that I buy and it's only $17 a month. They're not big bulky things either, very discreet wearing them on your ear. I especially like the versatility of them that I can listen to music softly in the background, this cuts out my tinnitus that has bothered me all my life, and still be able to talk with people at the same time! That is a win-win! The volume is easily controlled with a rocker switch up and down, and the sound is excellent. Please ignore all the negative posts that people have made, I have had no problems with customer support through email. I believe they stand behind their product which is a good thing. In addition, you take a hearing test with these through the program app and send it in according to instructions and you will get a audiologist selected program back for you to use. This is to basically adjust the hearing aids to your hearing profile! You can also select different adjustments to sound volume and noise elimination. ... show more

  • Give them consideration.
I'm not entirely satisfied with them. Pros: Nice charging case. Doesn't take up space and it can charge the aids without being plugged in. Cons: If I'm in a small room. They start to squeal. If I turn my face from front to the side, they squeal. Sometimes, one of them, it doesn't matter which, will not complete a charge. I'll shut them down and wait to see what happens and it still won't charge. Then, one day it'll take a full charge. For the record, I keep everything clean. This isn't from having a bad contact as the magnets need to sit correctly in the charger in order for it to work. Right side goes into the right slot of the charger, etc. Pros: Unlike my previous hearing aids, these are Bluetooth compatible. The app is very user friendly. Pretty nifty when it comes to listening to music, watching videos. I really like this feature. Pros: I work in a very noisy retail environment. It's important for me to be able to understand what the customer needs or is trying to do. These aids do a very satisfactory job when it comes to one on one dialogue. Using a landline phone. I seldom use my cell phone to talk with people. I can hear better with these than my previous set when it comes to listening to people from behind me. I grew up reading lips so when people turned away it was difficult to understand the context of the discussion. Masked conversation is quite challenging for so many people who are hearing impaired. In closing, I think that as a purchaser, these are not bad for the money. I would suggest that you do your homework in researching what works best for you. Hearing loss is different for every individual. What works for one may not be ideal for another. ... show more

  • Detailed review: My quality of life has greatly improved!
I bought a pair five months ago after realizing that I have "hidden" hearing loss. I've lived next to a highway for the past five years, and the environmental noise pollution has slowly diminished my overall health. The catalyst for researching my symptoms was that I was unable to bear the pain that hyperacusis caused me. I constantly wore wax earplugs to drown out the highway noise, but I needed something that addressed my other symptoms: tinnitus, difficulty locating sounds/background noises, and avoiding social situations due to auditory fatigue. I can't afford prescription hearing aids, so I chose to try out Elehear after doing a few weeks of research. Because of how dynamic my hearing loss is, I needed to find an OTC pair that had a lot of customizable features. The app works great on both my iPhone and iPad! The hearing aids come with a few preprogrammed modes: General, Restaurant, Music, and TV. The best way that I can describe the restaurant mode is that makes it feel like you're in a fishbowl with whoever you're having a conversation with? It definitely makes focusing on your discussion easier when in public environments. I set up my own mode with the noise cancellation at maximum because I like how calm it makes me feel! You can customize each pair of hearing aids to have separate settings which is cool. There's also a section with "serene" sounds such as rain, cats, crickets, waterfalls, white noise, and wind. I believe this feature is for people that use background noise to combat their tinnitus. I'm not a huge fan of background noise/music in general, so I don't use the feature. You're able to stack different sounds on top of each other (like rain/frog) which I think is neat. An underrated feature of the hearing aids is its 20 language AI translation. I'm a cashier, and I tested out a few languages with customers. I was surprised at its accuracy, especially with Hindi and Mandarin! I read a couple reviews that talk about how the hearing aids aren't as great as expensive ones. While I've never used a pair of prescription hearing aids, I wouldn't expect a $500 pair to match a $2,000 pair's quality. If you're someone that's looking for a pair of customizable and "affordable" hearing aids, I'd recommend them. The reviews that say that the hearing aids are chunky/obvious are true. I happen to like this style because of how easily people know that I struggle with hearing loss. I feel like it makes people more patient with me. I love listening to music in them. The audio quality feels comparable to AirPods to me. My biggest critique of them is that you're unable to manually skip songs with the volume buttons. You can pause audio, but it's admittedly awkward. The volume control in itself is normal though! The bluetooth works great for me. I'm told that the microphone is quiet during phone calls. I speak softly, so there's probably more that I can do to improve my sound quality. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... show more

  • ELEHEAR-BEYOND Pro OTC Hearing Aids.
I have been wearing the ELEHEAR-Beyond Pro hearing aids for the last two weeks and am more than satisfied with their ability to help my hearing. The battery stays charged and working for 18 hours. The ap on my phone is easy to work with and allows me to easily control my settings for clarity and volume for the environment. They also have blue tooth capability so I can pair them with the sound system in my church or other venues. I can also accept phone calls with the sound directly produced and transferred to the ELEHEAR-Beyond Pro OTC hearing aids. They have a quick charge option as well. They fit well over the ear and people often do not know i am wearing hearing aids. I have had other OTC hearing aids that were more expensive and did not have half the features the ELEHEAR-Beyond Pro OTC provide. Their representatives are knowledgeable about the product and can answer any questions or concerns. As you can tell by this review, I highly recommend the ELEHEAR-Beyond Pro OTC hearing aids for someone like myself who has a small to moderate hearing loss they are a good solution. ... show more

  • Works ok for the price
One of the better OTC hearing aids, but that is a bit of a low hurdle. Be aware that if you wear glasses, even if you get the slightly longer wires that the company offers, they still will be a difficult fit. Tuning of these with the app is ok, and the free audiologist test and programming can give you better results. However these are mainly tuned to high frequency hearing loss, so don't expect to use the music option and get decent results (little to no bass response). If you keep in mind that these are mainly for amplification, you'll do ok. You certainly will be hard pressed to find anything better for the price. ... show more

  • Don't waste your money.
I was so excited to get new hearing aids to replace my old ones and at a great price, instead of $3,000+ for new ones, I was paying only $600+ for new ones. Well, you get what you pay for. They were horrible. Squeaky, tone of feed back, and when I talked it was like my head was in a tin can. I tried to change cones adjust settings and nothing helped. I am a seasoned hearing aids wearer and know my way around a pair. All the tech was spent on bells and whistles and non on the quality of the hearing. Sorry I bought them. ... show more

  • Easy to setup, good support, decent sound quality, but devices are a bit large...
I've been using the Beyond Pros for 2 weeks now. I am somewhat new to hearing aid usage, less than 6 months. My hearing loss is moderate to severe in the high freq. range and I also have noise induced tinnitus. After a trial period using prescription hearing aids ($3k), I returned them as they just didn't seem to provide the benefit considering the cost. I thought I'd try an OTC hearing aid. Research seemed to point me to these Beyond Pro's due to the features and lower cost of course. I ordered here on Amazon and they arrived same day. Pros: They are easy to setup, and the Elehear app is very use (much better app than the prescription set I returned). I had no issues installing the app and getting the pair of devices working. The case is great, once fully charged, it will charge your aids several times without plugging it into a A/C outlet. The aids themselves have enough charge to last from early morning to late in the evening, and that includes using Bluetooth connectivity the entire time. And the Bluetooth seems very solid, no issues at all with connectivity to my Android phone. After performing their online hearing test via the app, I submitted the results to Elehear and within a few hours received a customized set of adjustments from their audiologist. The custom set was just a "click" to apply in the app. Very easy. A couple of questions I had were quickly handled via their support phone number, one time they answered my call on the 2nd ring, another call I left a message and they returned my call within several minutes. I can hear as clearly with these as I could with the prescription pair. The tinnitus feature is nice and has several masking sounds to choose from. Now for the Cons... my main concern is the size of the devices. They are much larger than the prescription pair I tried. The size is very noticeable when you put on a pair of glasses or even a hat in some cases. They just don't feel as comfortable due to their size. And if the user is a small person with smaller ears, I am sure they would be visible to others unless the person has long hair to cover them up. They need to get the size reduced. Overall, 4 stars from me, would be a 5 if not for their larger size. ... show more
