I just upgraded to these blue tooth hearing aids as my old Vivitone ones were loosing longevity in battery life after about 3 years. Partly my fault as I’m out in the weather a lot and unfortunately have jumped in the shower on several occasions after sweaty outside work without thinking, so I think it helped their demise. They do take some getting used too and are more powerful then my last pair. They seem to connect well with my phone. Easily adjustable using my iPhone. Even includes a basic hearing test. I’m happy with my purchase so far. I’ve bought $5400 hearing aids in the past and even those only lasted 3 years and was told I needed new ones. I’m not sure about their technology today but definitely not in my budget. For what I paid for these I’m more than satisfied. I know I can hear so much more now and it’s nice they pick up a phone call right through them instead of me having to hit speaker phone to hear people on my old pair. I’d definitely buy again in the future and would recommend!

Wow!!! Let me start off by saying that I am a physician, I suffer from moderate to severe hearing loss and have been wearing hearing aids for 15 + years. I have been using Signia Pure hearing aids for the past 10 years or so. The Signia’s finally just died, my audiologist was on vacation, and I was desperate, so, I ordered these. I didn’t expect much, but these are amazing. Especially, at the price point. The app with the EQ enables you to customize the settings yourself, which is very convenient and the sound quality is very natural, which is a problem for most hearing aids. They don’t have all of the features that my Signia hearing aids have, they are a little larger, but not tremendously larger, and I have had some issues with them in terms of the Bluetooth trying to connect to every Bluetooth enabled device in my office, especially at my front desk. With that said, coming in at under $500.00, compared to $5000.00 for the Signia hearing aids, I would strongly recommend these. I read another review that complained about the size of the cone that fits in the ear canal. Note that these are interchangeable with any hearing device so you will be able to find one that fits.

This review might be a bit premature I'm on my third day using this. After several years of my wife and son asking me to get hearing aids I went to one of the hearing-aid stores and had an audiologist fit me for a pair of prescription devices. Wow, I didn't realize how expensive they were, even with insurance copay was over 4K, but I took the 10 day trial and those hearing aids were very good. After I returned them I started researching OTC products and read reviews from Amazon and others and took a gamble on these Vivtones. 2 things: Hearing is very close to as good as prescription model I tried and they are 1/10 of the cost. App is excellent and allows adjustment through a self take test and allows you to toggle between volume and speech scenarios on your phone without touching the device. So far I am happy with this choice, and I can hear my wife again.

These were the best OTC hearing aids I could find based on reviews and they do not disappoint. The HA-Fit android app provides for calibrating them with a hearing test and they do address my moderate hearing loss. I have several issues with them, however. The clear identification of 3rd party compatible hearing aid domes is very important to me since I have very narrow hearing canals and the smallest dome that comes with these is still too large for comfort. Based on another users review I bought the smallest Phonak open domes and they appeared to install securely with a welcome improvement in the sound and the absence of that bucket head feeling from closed domes that completely seal off your ear canals. Even with small open domes they are uncomfortable after an hour or 2. The last time I wore them, the domes remained in my ear canals when I took them out. Yes, both. The audiologist was booked up so I took a trip to the walk in clinic for removal. Beyond reach with tweezers, the nurse tried flushing them out with water and later mineral oil which only drove them deeper. After 3 hours without even moving them, they sent me home suggesting I apply mineral oil nightly until they worked out on their own. In pain, I went to the audiologist, pleaded my case and got squeezed in between patients where they were removed quickly. If you look at the in ear drivers, the 2 retention bands are different than commonly available replacement drivers, thus most replacement domes are try at your own risk, or so it seems. I won't wear these again, because of that painful experience. About replacement wires and drivers, note that these Vivtone Bluetooth Hearing Aids are 2 wire drivers (2 pin). The commonly available replacements sold here in Amazon, are all 3 wire that I've seen, such as the Phonak replacement drivers and wires (3 pin). Thus it appears with these hearing aids, users are locked into Vivtone branded dome, drivers and wires. The last minor complaint is a popping sound, whenever I wake my phone to check messages, mail, etc. And when I load the HA-Fit app, I have to manually connect to the hearing aids before making any adjustments, such as whether a quiet, noisy or outdoor environment, the volume or max output settings. Lastly, when adjusting settings with the 'both ears' icon illuminated, the 2 devices can somehow get out of sync - such as the left device at 40% volume, the right at 30% volume. Both were 20% when I pressed the volume button twice, but one doesn't get the message. I'll have to see an audiologist for a properly fitted hearing aid - though I suspect an ear-bud style with memory foam ear tips, like the Comply type tips, would be a safer and more comfortable fit for me. Something like the Lexie H1. I'm finding my hearing issues are better addressed by specific and separate solutions. Using my PC, I have an free app called FXSound to equalize the sound for my hearing loss. When recording music, I use a VST plugin to correct my pro headphones and monitors. Most of the time, I don't care to wear hearing aids, but I do like to have them on hand when my wife and I talk as I don't want to frustrate her with my hearing issues.

After a few years with overpriced costco hearing aids and out of warranty charges i did some research and decided that vivtone blue tooth was a good choice. they are as comfortable as costco and i like the app and the superior blue tooth controls. the price was about 25% of the costco and the sound is excellent. i realize i don’t need service in person with the 24 hour service line vivtone has. i am extremely happy and the savings are excellent.

I purchased a pair in September. The wire is completely destroyed. I have owned hearing aids for decades. I lost a single hearing aid so secided on OTC set. Bad decision. When you buy the from a reputable audiologist you get support, even Costco has support. I had a wire issue once with a hearung aid. Typically they just give you another wire...easy fix. But that was after years of wear. This is only 2-3 month. They offered to sell me a new hearing aid instead. There is no way to fix these from normal wear, but 2-3 months speaks to the quality. They are huge hearing aids as well. They also squeak because you cant get proper fitting if the included ear pieces dont fit properly. Also the blutooth quality, for the cost is poor. I have $25 bluetooth headphones that have much better connection and quality. If you are out of range of your phone just slightly, you loose connection. I will never chose OTC. A short temporary fix for $500. It's better to invest in real hearing aids with tech support and customer service. ***************Update.***************** The company reached out to refund the hearing aids. I was happy since this is still an expensive purchase and you should get your moneys worth. But they came back and said they could not do refund since it was out of the 30 day window. *************************************************************************************************************************************They did give me a replacement for free. So even though I wont use them maybe they can be a back up, if I ever need. Most of the OTC hearing aids don't really offer BT anyway. It will work for calls if the phone is in very close proximity. **************************************************************************************************************************** FINAL UPDATE: posted this late. The replacement hearing aid is still intact, but shortly after wearing them again, the original opposite ear hearing is broken again at the wire. I did not contact the company. Will throw them away. I feel bad asking again. I purchased 3 different brand of hearing aids before I went to COSTCO. The other two are intact, but they squeak or cant get the right volume, ect. inadequate for what I need. That money (~ $500-$700?) could have gone towards "real" hearing aids. I finally did go to COSTCO and have a pair of Jabra Enhanced. They are perfect. I guess one of these can be a back up pair, but COSTCO gives you loaners if you have issues, so.

My Vitone hearing aids have exceeded my expectations. I am not kidding. I am very impressed. I particularly liked the hearing test and the help it gives you towards setting up the hearing aids to your particular needs. I have owned several hearing aids in my life, some of which were in the thousands of dollars not one of them as nice as these. I highly recommend these hearing aids.

Update 5/7/2026: the hearing aid for the right ear died, and the company tried to get me to buy new ones for a review on another site. When I told them I didn't have the money to buy them again, they finally told me to ship the defective one back and then sent me a new one. Honestly, if I had to do it again I wouldn't buy this model of hearing aid again. Ok I took a while to write this review due to wanting to make sure I gave these a fair try beforehand. Pros: app control, hearing test, the auto tuning, charging case, rechargeable batteries, BT feature, customer service Cons: BT control, Not loud enough for severe hearing loss, fitment To give a little background I have used actual dr. prescribed hearing aids for several years, and I also have had a bone anchored hearing aid. Both hearing aids cost $5k-$8k in order to give a little detail on how much better they are. These hearing aids for their price point are very good overall, and if you have slight to moderate hearing loss they will be a great addition to help you out. The fact you can use the app and do a hearing test, and then let the hearing aids auto adjust the eq is a huge plus. However, to do the hearing test it is very difficult to find somewhere quiet enough. I actually had to turn off the A/C in the house and get in the master bedroom closet to cut out any additional noise to do the test and get them set up. The first set I had the right hearing aid would get so much distortion from voices that it was unbearable. It only distorted voices in the hearing aid mode. In BT mode everything sounded fine. In hearing mode all other sounds other than voices sounded fine. The left one was perfectly fine. I had to reach out to customer service and actually type out a book so they understood exactly what I was complaining about because they were trying to say it was the settings at first. Once I actually explained everything they then sent a right ear replacement and it functions like the left one does. The main complaint is I have severe hearing loss in my right ear, and these are not loud enough. My google pixel ear buds put out way more sound than these do. (I know pixel buds aren't hearing aids, but I would hope that a hearing aid could produce louder sound than these do, and my previous prescribed hearing aids did). My experience is that you have to have the MPO about 80% at all times in order to avoid distortion. So you can turn the sound up to 100% but the MPO is at 80% limiting how much output is actually placed to the hearing aid. In my opinion these are very underpowered. The other complaint I have is that if you have large ear canals they don't have big enough domes to fit larger ear canals, and it took me several tries to find the right size online to replace it with and get a good fit. The other complaint is they switch to BT automatically for phone and music, then if you go into the app to change a setting on the hearing aid it tells you to take it out of BT mode and put it in to hearing mode, but there is no way for the user to do this because it happens automatically, and BT is required to use the app. Hopefully this will be revised in a software setting. Overall these are good hearing aids with great features, and if you have moderate hearing loss you will probably enjoy these especially for the price.
