Visit the Store Will Atom X work in a noisy restaurant? It reduces background noise and helps in everyday settings, but no OTC device fully restores hearing in very loud, crowded rooms. Use the modes to match your environment. What's the difference between the two modes? Conversation Mode boosts speech; Comfort Mode softens your own voice. If you sound boomy or echoey to yourself, switch to Comfort Mode on the touchscreen case. How do I get the fullest sound and volume? A full seal, the right mode, and volume level make the biggest difference. Fit each dome until the sound is rich with no whistling, set Conversation Mode for speech, and raise the volume on the touchscreen case if needed. Why do they whistle or squeal? Whistling (feedback) almost always means the dome isn't sealed — reseat it or move up a size. If it continues, lower the volume on the touchscreen case and check your ears for wax buildup, which reflects sound back out. It's a fit issue, not a defect One aid won't charge. Still getting "user friendly" with some of the unique features within these quality hearing aids. Very nice and helpful people available to answer questions - which I have done a few times already in three days. I have paid over three thousand for a disappointing pair, and a few hundred for a "back up" pair which are o.k. - but not as good as these from AUDIEN. These ATOM X aids hold a charge for a full nine hours, and that makes me smile! They "Pair" well with other items (including T.V. use). The Blue tooth format and adjustable case (which is necessary to have with a person) are very well thought through. The charging process also has a feature to assist keeping these aids clean. The ATOM X versatility allows controlling each ear separately...a welcome feature for me! Note to others: No hearing aids cure deafness...they (well, the good ones like the ATOM X ) make life a lot more tolerable. Also, my glasses are no longer "in the way", because these are snugly operating in my ears, and not behind my ears. Fine value and quality. These have many features which are not available at ten times the price~! KUDOS, AUDIEN! (and THANKS!).

I found these otc hearing aids to be quite effective, especially at amplifying sounds and voices especially. They help me enjoy watching tv so much more. The cost of these was more than double the cost of the lower priced ones, and I’m not sure if the quality is better or not. I will still probably need to have a hearing test to determine my exact issues, but I don’t really want to spend thousands of dollars for a hearing aid that may not help me more than these do. They are easy to use, fit reasonably well, easily charged and maintained. I don’t wear them a lot yet, but I think they are definitely worth the modest price as compared to very expensive ones.

I have attempted, very unsuccessfully, to use a couple of different brands of hearing aids. These, by a long stretch, are the very best. In frustration I had stopped using any aids for about a year; and was reluctant to try again. I am astounded at the difference! The audio and physical comforts are amazing. I was able to acclimate to these in just a couple of days; and have been wearing them, six to eight hours daily for about a week. These are incredibly easy to use, especially with the controls/settings right on the charging case. The noise cancellation really works! The Bluetooth function is great for taking calls…and can be used for streaming music; but these are hearing aids…not audiophile grade earbuds. I switch to my favorite buds or headset when I listen to music; but for everything else, these are the best! Their customer support is first rate. They offer an actual live, one-on-one video conference (which I highly recommend) to make sure you’re getting the full benefit of your aids. My coach (Kendel) was brilliant.

These hearing aids weren't for me, but for my grandma. So I can only testify to their effectiveness second-hand. But I will do my best to do so. For a long time, when I went to meet her, she was wearing headphones connected to a microphone-style amplifier. But the headphones were quite uncomfortable and she'd usually take them off when she could. However, these earbud-style hearing aids seemed much more comfortable for her. She'd leave them in, and forget they were there! Sometimes when she was wearing the headphones, we had to raise our voices, and fiddle with the volume knob to get the sound level right. However, these earbud-style hearing aids were consistent and made life much easier, especially when dealing with the noise level. They were adjustible to her level of comfort and made it easy for her to hear. They were small and fit easily in her ear, and also easy to take out and clean. They always stayed connected via bluetooth, and their battery lasted a full day or longer, and were easy to recharge in the case. Overall, judging by how my grandma seemed to enjoy and use them, these earbud-style hearing aids are great! I'd recommend them for anyone looking for comfortable, easy, simple assistance with hearing.

These are impressive. Definately worth trying before any larger purchase. One word of caution is that they are very small and flesh colored. My 86 year old mother lost one of them immediately. After three different departments and at least one AI, their customer service informed me in a very long drawn out voice that the case and single earbud left is worth nothing and I would have to repurchase the entire unit. There is no way to purchase a single replacement. Ahh and I see the price I paid was an offer at Christmas and now it will be close to 400 dollars instead of under 300. Meaning the hearing aids will have cost me close to 800 by the time she can hear again. Kinda close to the cost of other hearing aids at that point. Great product….not great company.

I've worn hearing aids before. I know what "good enough" feels like — the compromise you make when the technology almost works but reminds you, in subtle ways, that it doesn't quite. The Audien Atom X has quietly retired every one of those compromises in a single week. Let me start where I didn't expect to be impressed: the recharging case. I've dealt with cases that simply charge both ears simultaneously, treating them as one undifferentiated unit. Not here. Each ear has its own independent volume control right on the case — so when the world is louder in one direction, or when one ear simply needs a different level than the other, I adjust. No fumbling through menus. No app required in that moment. Just a simple, elegant physical control that says: we thought about how you actually live. The noise filtering modes are where the engineering earns its keep. There are several distinct settings designed for different acoustic environments — not the vague "indoor/outdoor" toggle you find on budget devices, but genuinely calibrated modes that change what I hear and how I hear it. I switched into the mode suited for crowded spaces and a conversation that would have been lost in ambient noise became clear and centered. It felt less like a setting and more like a skill. The Bluetooth transparency feature alone would justify a five-star review from me. Four levels of external sound — and every level is tuned, not just stepped. The Bluetooth transparency is something I want to describe carefully, because it's easy to list as a feature and miss why it matters. Four levels means you're not just toggling the outside world on and off — you're deciding how present you want to be in your environment, moment to moment. Full transparency when I'm having a conversation. One notch down at the grocery store. Dialed back on a windy walk. This is not a checkbox feature. This is a philosophy of design that respects the user's autonomy over their own hearing. Comfort: I wore these for six hours on my first full day and forgot I was wearing them. That is the only metric that matters for something that lives in your ear canal, and the Atom X passes it without effort. The fit is secure without pressure, and the weight is effectively zero. The user manual deserves its own sentence: it is written by people who wanted you to succeed, not by a legal department. Every step is where you expect it, every diagram is clear, and I set up, charged, and cleaned these hearing aids without a single moment of confusion. That is rarer than than typical. Customer service: I had few questions in my first week. They were answered promptly, correctly, and without the scripted deflection that so often passes for support. Real answers, from a real person, who actually knows the product. I keep stopping to think about the engineering behind something this small doing this much. The independent ear-level controls. The noise mode intelligence. The transparency calibration. The battery life that keeps pace with a full day. All of it fitting in a case I can slip in my pocket. A week ago, I was hoping for "noticeably better." What I got was: this is what hearing aids should be. Ten stars, if I could. And I've never written those words before.

I ordered this to use in crowded places, ie; Restaurants, Convention Centers, Baseball Games, etc. As these are the type of places that I have trouble hearing clearly when someone speaks to me. When they are arrived, I was surprised to find them fully Charged already. Once I found the size ear cushions that worked the best, I tried them out at home. They worked Great for watching TV and my wife said that she noticed I didn't have to ask her to repeat things nearly as often. I also went to COSTCO and walked around and notice how I was able to hear things better when talking to someone. The only issue I really had with these is that after about 1.5 hours of having these in my ear, the became rather uncomfortable and I had to take them out. I also noticed they didn't really fit "Inside" my ears, they stuck out a little, sort of like a standard earbud. The volume control on the case was good and being able to change the environment settings nice. They also paired easily to my phone. I ended up returning them, mainly because of the comfort issue. However, I will say that I have somewhat sensitive ears. I find it uncomfortable to even wear the type of Ear protection that fits inside your ear. So if that isn't an issue for you, these seemed to work pretty well.
