  • We love this hearing aids!
These are the best hearing aids! They fit well and function well for my mom's hearing needs. The cost is much cheaper than the hearing aids that she had previously from a national hearing aid service. The hearing aid charger box is very strong and it is easy to use. Cleaning the hearing aids is easy. We highly recommend the ATOM X hearing aids. Because we purchased them from Amazon we got one year free plan for lost hearing aids and we were able to use this plan when she lost one of them. They were very helpful and shipped her a new pair immediately. The cost for the plan will be only $24 after the free year. The replacement set only cost $68 since we used the plan. We also purchased the extended warranty for damage or broken hearing aids from Amazon. We have not had to use that plan yet. ... show more

  • Love these hearing aids!
I love these hearing aids! They are comfortable. I use the smallest domes which are the best fit for my ears. It is very easy to adjust the volume. I am having to learn how to adjust the volume of my voice when speaking to others since the volume of my voice seems louder to me when I’m wearing the hearing aids. I like how easy it is to connect to Bluetooth when I want to listen to my audio books and disconnect when I am not. I am very satisfied with these hearing aids. ... show more

  • Audien ss a reputable company with great support and guarantee.
I am an 83 year old male. I went for a hearing test last month and found that the higher end of my hearing had dropped off sharply. The specialist attempted to sell me some hearing aids for $4000 and up. I ordered an in-the-ear hearing aid, the ATOM X. They were wonderful when working, and the price was quite amazing! But I did have problems with the set I had received and was afraid of dropping and losing them. I returned them to Audien without any problem, receiving full refund. I ordered the Audien Ion Pro 2. It is very comfortable and works great as a hearing aid. I can hear the birds singing, and the floor boards creak as I walk across the room & my wife doesn’t have to shout! I am very satisfied with the sound and total quality of these hearing aids, and most especially the price. Plus, I got a call from Audien this morning to help me with any questions I may have, my satisfaction, and to offer support in the future. I recommend Audien as a reputable company with quality hearing aids at low cost! ... show more

  • Right product! Right Price!
These hearing aids work! And the battery life is great! The only I have is for the cases power button had a lock. Sometimes case gets turned on accidentally. Rachel in customer care was phenomenal and helped with a product question

  • Great Sound, No Feedback, and I Can Finally Take Calls Again
I’ve tried a few OTC hearing aids before, and honestly most of them just felt like basic amplifiers, even when they said they weren’t. These have been a totally different experience. One of my favorite features is the Bluetooth. Taking calls used to be frustrating because of that awful screeching feedback in my ear. I know I could use speakerphone, but I really don’t like doing that. With these, calls are clear and easy, which has been a huge win for me. I also like being able to switch settings right from the case depending on where I am. It’s super convenient. The only thing I wish they had is a phone app to adjust things when I don’t have the case nearby. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now, and they’ve worked great in both crowded places and quiet settings. Honestly, they work so well that my son now complains I can hear too much… lol. ... show more

  • What's NOT to Like?
I've worn hearing aids before. I know what "good enough" feels like — the compromise you make when the technology almost works but reminds you, in subtle ways, that it doesn't quite. The Audien Atom X has quietly retired every one of those compromises in a single week. Let me start where I didn't expect to be impressed: the recharging case. I've dealt with cases that simply charge both ears simultaneously, treating them as one undifferentiated unit. Not here. Each ear has its own independent volume control right on the case — so when the world is louder in one direction, or when one ear simply needs a different level than the other, I adjust. No fumbling through menus. No app required in that moment. Just a simple, elegant physical control that says: we thought about how you actually live. The noise filtering modes are where the engineering earns its keep. There are several distinct settings designed for different acoustic environments — not the vague "indoor/outdoor" toggle you find on budget devices, but genuinely calibrated modes that change what I hear and how I hear it. I switched into the mode suited for crowded spaces and a conversation that would have been lost in ambient noise became clear and centered. It felt less like a setting and more like a skill. The Bluetooth transparency feature alone would justify a five-star review from me. Four levels of external sound — and every level is tuned, not just stepped. The Bluetooth transparency is something I want to describe carefully, because it's easy to list as a feature and miss why it matters. Four levels means you're not just toggling the outside world on and off — you're deciding how present you want to be in your environment, moment to moment. Full transparency when I'm having a conversation. One notch down at the grocery store. Dialed back on a windy walk. This is not a checkbox feature. This is a philosophy of design that respects the user's autonomy over their own hearing. Comfort: I wore these for six hours on my first full day and forgot I was wearing them. That is the only metric that matters for something that lives in your ear canal, and the Atom X passes it without effort. The fit is secure without pressure, and the weight is effectively zero. The user manual deserves its own sentence: it is written by people who wanted you to succeed, not by a legal department. Every step is where you expect it, every diagram is clear, and I set up, charged, and cleaned these hearing aids without a single moment of confusion. That is rarer than than typical. Customer service: I had few questions in my first week. They were answered promptly, correctly, and without the scripted deflection that so often passes for support. Real answers, from a real person, who actually knows the product. I keep stopping to think about the engineering behind something this small doing this much. The independent ear-level controls. The noise mode intelligence. The transparency calibration. The battery life that keeps pace with a full day. All of it fitting in a case I can slip in my pocket. A week ago, I was hoping for "noticeably better." What I got was: this is what hearing aids should be. Ten stars, if I could. And I've never written those words before. ... show more

  • Must consider the price point
I am inclined to give these hearing aids two stars, but that may be unduly harsh given the price point. They are too big for my taste. But once again, price point is a factor. These are at the $300 range. By hearing aid standards, that's pretty affordable. The problem is, the extra mass causes them to fall out. I did not see a picture of them actually being worn, to give a size reference when I was shopping. That would have helped in making an informed choice. I was wearing behind the ear hearing aids recently, when I happened to brush the bottom of the garage door with my head, getting dirt in my hair. I quickly brushed the dirt away. But, in so doing, I also knocked a hearing aid out of my ear. I happened to be looking down and saw my hearing aid land on the floor. Had I not been paying attention, I could have lost or stepped on it. That's when I decided I needed some "in the ear" hearing aids for everyday wear. At least I am more likely to notice if it does fall or get knocked out. But, If one falls out at the wrong time and place, that could be the end of that hearing aid. On average, I am not nuts about the sound. There is no EQ adjust, only general categories, like TV or crowds. The TV setting isn't bad. Once again, price point. The crowd setting does seem to do pretty well with noise reduction. I haven't actually been in a crowd yet to try them. I hasten to add, that my behind the ear hearing aids that do have EQ adjust, don't really seem much better, except that I can really crank the treble, which I don't choose to do. I could send these back and begin my quest anew for in ear hearing aids that I really like. I probably better make sure my wallet is well padded with green, or my credit card is far from its max before I do. What I do like is the charging station does not have to be plugged in to charge the hearing aids. I can put them in my pocket while I am riding my motorcycle, while not plugged in, and they will be fully charged when I get to my destination. My other hearing aids have to be plugged in. What a pain! I am going to experiment with the ear pieces and see if I can get them to fit a little better. It could be in time that I will have to re-visit my rating. I am aware that at the $300i price point, there are some trade offs. With the cost of nearly everything going into the ridiculous category, if it weren't for some $300 hearing aids, some people would be in a world of hurt. Perhaps we are at 3.5. Not bad. The advantage to these is I can charge the case, and recharge the hearing aids several times without plugging the case back in. I bought these in large part for an upcoming motorcycle trip, so I can take them out, put them in my pocket, put the helmet on and be on my way. When I stop, they will be in my pocket fully charged. These were in the $300 range, and I am running short on time to find another pair before the trip. I don't find them all that great a value, but they are better than nothing. ... show more

  • Great OTC hearing aids with 4 modes, volume control, & Bluetooth
Very helpful to be able to get hearing aids without a doctor or prescription especially if your hearing just has issues in some situations. The Atom X has 4 modes controlled by the case: comfort, conversation, crowd, TV. That includes volume control for each ear. They also have Bluetooth connectable. They do have a tinny sound and you can't adjust the volume below 10% so they add volume no matter what. The case charges the aids and just charge the case with USB-C once in a while. They don't fit my small ear canals very well even with changing the cushion. They do have removable-cleanable-replaceable ear wax filters. If you don't have an extreme hearing problem (it does sneak up) then these are a great option. ... show more
