The app connected well and stayed connected allowing precise control of each function. Volume: from 0 to ear-splitting. very precise Tuning (tone control): it got rid of the overly crisp sound Noise control: it got rid of some of the noise in the supermarket but did nothing for the car’s engine and road noise. The supermarket fix included a narrowing of the audio bandwidth, and was good enough so that I did not have to turn the aids off, or remove them from my ears to end the unpleasantness that I usually undergo in supermarkets if I try to wear a hearing aid. Feedback: almost none. a rarely occurring sound for a second or less. Rear sound diminishment: this does nothing to speak of. If the volume is set very high, there are a few nulls as I turn from facing a motor noise. The nulls are scattershot and not very deep. At normal volume I can hear no difference. It was easy to get to the page to download a recent update. Making and receiving calls over the cellphone piped them through the hearing aid and the person on the other end could hear me clearly even though I was speaking at the air. The volume on my end was unacceptably low. I may have missed a setting on the phone. The remote phone thing worked. I left the phone near my wife and got out of earshot but could hear her and she could hear me. The volume problem was present with this as well. These aids are 4.75 grams vs 4 grams for the ones I have been wearing for the past year. They feel just as comfortable as the previous aids. I have no problem putting on and taking off my glasses. As I continue to use these I may find better settings for tuning them and will update the review. ... show more

Seeking to avoid the incredibly expensive prescription hearing aids and after doing basic research - we settled upon these Elehear Beyond BTH hearing aids. For the most part my wife has been pretty pleased with these devices. PROS: pricing is competitive in comparison with Costco or prescription offerings. The Elehear app for your phone is pretty straight forward and for the non-tech-savvy person, reasonably easy to use. Charging case design and portability charging option is good. The hearing enhancement for her has been very beneficial and she has been very positive as to their performance. CONS: Feedback (squealing) is a nuisance and from our experience is primarily a result of the Bluetooth (BT) connection with her phone being disconnected. Once the BT connection is reestablished and the volume controls brought back into normal range - problem goes away. So the user is basically forced to keep their phone in close proximity to manage this aspect. Seeing as my wife can't otherwise seem to keep her phone handy - this actually turns out to be a benefit for me. Secondly - we ran into an issue where the right side hearing aid would not fully charge and would only hold a very low charge amount. Well there is a reset function explained in the operators manual which resolved the matter and both units are recharging fully now. So DON"T throw out the user manual. Bottom line - would recommend. These also offer Tinnitus masking. Since I suffer pretty significant Tinnitus, I am tempted to purchase a set for myself to see how these might help with the issue. ... show more

I'm 31 and have never had hearing aids before. I have mild hearing loss in both ears. From what research I've done, these are the best OTC hearing aids, winning out over some of the bigger name brands and being about half the price. I wore mine daily for months and had issues with the left one from the beginning, but I can say that the customer service provided by the company is incredible. They worked to troubleshoot with me, sent me new wires, and even told me what other companies carried receiver locks that would fit theirs because they don't make them. It seems like a small company, and i got responses back within a day every time. I opted to exchange the hearing aids for the same ones because I can't find any other that are this good with this many options in the app. Bluetooth works great, there is a Tinnitus masking tool, the audiologist automatically sent me a personalized preset based on a short test I took in the app, the batteries last at least 16 hours with regular Bluetooth use, and they charge in no time. Edit for the review below: Elehear Customer Support contacted me regarding my experience with their product and they are working with me to figure out why I had a problem with the Beyond OTC hearing aids. They have been attentive and have followed up with me as they work on the issue I had. I am looking forward to continue using the Beyond hearing aids, I am a classical music fan who loves listening to music with my Beyond aids. The hearing part works well but for me it's also about tbe music and that's where these aids really shine. Great sound quality but they are absolutely NOT RELIABLE. I have bought 2 of these and each set has had one of the aids fail completely in less than 3 weeks. Their "customer service" is not very responsive. I suggest to anybody reading this review: DO NOT BUY ... show more

I got these for my fiance. He loves them. Very happy with the way he can adjust the tones in app. And the Bluetooth feature makes phone calls a breeze now. He mentioned that they pick up background noise extremely well (not amplifying it to much, yet still there for him to hear.) We only got them for the bluetooth capabilities, but they are also over all better quality than the more expensive ones He has had in the past. Would purchase again in a heartbeat!
