  • Affordable & excellent quality hearing aids
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
I don’t know if you can appreciate how good these hearing aids are if you haven’t used the expensive ones first. I had Resound for 6 years from Costco that cost $1700. They wouldn’t hold a charge & after 5 years could no longer be repaired. I decided to try the $399 Beyond OTC brand for the heck of it. Chose them because the Bluetooth capability included both iPad & Android. The software is really easy to use. I learn more about it every time I use it. There are 20 sound levels instead of 3. Also treble & base adjustments. Battery charge levels show. Also tinnitus masking. It’s really easy to switch between different Bluetooth connections like phone, iPad, car. I think the sound is really crisp & clear on every device. Had a problem with the L one popping out of my ear canal but added a bigger cone & it hasn’t popped out since. Extra cones are included with the order. I read a bunch of reviews that just confused me but decided to try these anyway because of the return policy. Really glad I did because I’m truly amazed that I can listen to all my devices with just one set of ear phones now. My online hearing test indicated “severe” hearing loss. Amazingly, they arrived and I had them charged & was wearing them in less than 24 hours from Amazon! ... show more

  • Better than any hearing aids that I have tried in the past 15 years.
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
I have had these hearing aids for a couple of weeks now. It took me a few days to get them adjusted to my needs but that all went pretty smoothly with minimum frustration. These hearing aids are by far the best I have tried in the past 15 years. The controls are excellent. You can pretty much get rid of all the background noise that you don't want. I can also listen to music and still have the hearing aids active so I can hear people talk. I also like the ability to turn off the 2 rear microphones (360°). Sometimes the 360° setting works the best, so experiment. Absolutely worth the money. It will take you a few days of playing with them to get them the way you want them. After a week or two you will be able to make pretty quick adjustments to get what you want for a particular situation. If you listen to blue tooth while driving, you may want to turn the hearing aids off so the road noise it less invasive. You will still be able to get phone calls and listen to music. I did the hearing test, but I don't really think it is necessary. I would suggest that you do the hearing test and decide for yourself. They sent the Audiologist Plan setting. I preferred the one I chose. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with these hearing aids. I would recommend. $399.00. Can't beat the price. I let my niece try these, she wears $7,000.00 hearing aids, she like these better. I should add that they are very comfortable and the batteries last all day, and I am usually listening to music. ... show more

  • Good product, great customer service
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
I purchased these hearing aids in March 2025. So this is a long term (7 1/2 months) review. This is my first use of any type of hearing aid, so I can not compare them to any others. My hearing is moderate frequency loss in the right ear, sevier loss in the left ear with eustachian tube dysfunction. Yes, I've had my ears checked along with a professional hearing test. With that out of the way, I knew the market was open for over the counter hearing aids. A number of YouTube videos rated the Elehear Beyond quite high, especially when compared to others. At the time the price range put this pair between an obvious entry level pair that appeared to be more of microphone amplifiers, rather than devices designed to focus on speech frequencies. While the ones above this price point appeared to have more features, it was a price I wasn't really to pay for a first time test. Plus this set offered some possible great features which you can read about in the product description. My experience with them has been good and bad. The good is they do elevate the speech frequencies which allows me to hear and pick out voices better. The bluetooth streaming is great for both phone calls and streaming audio. Don't expect great music reproduction as these are designed for speech first. Music streaming is good, I wouldn't say great, but good enough that it's not a distraction. The app is easy to use and allows you to make adjustments for the volume of each ear piece, so for me the left is set louder than the right. There is a tone function that basically allows you to either raise the high or low frequencies. You can think of this as a single tone knob on an old radio. You can raise both low and high frequencies. I personally could not tell any difference with the low frequencies, but I can detecct some subtle changes in the higher frequencies. Now, I am on my second pair. The first pair had some issues that I did email customer support. After numerous emails they did honor the one year warranty even with the product being purchased through Amazon. So that is a great plus for them. As for the product......the left ear piece stopped charging and stopped connecting to the app. That is why the set was replaced. As for the usage.......I like them, but there are a few things that I was disappointed with. I am unable to play guitar or piano while using them. They make music sound like it is being played under water. I did contact customer support about it and they acknowledged this is a known occurrence with some of the devices that went out. The cause appears to be related to the noise cancelling function that is trying to filter out noise to leave the music, but ends up failing. Even with the noise cancellation turned off, the device still appears to be trying to function as I can hear a subtle cancelling of noise at times before the background noise kicks in. For use in a restaurant, they really are hit and miss for me. It really depends on how noisey the place is and how much sound reflection is taking place from the walls. The music issue appears from what I have seen in videos has been resolved in the new Beyond Pro, but they are more expensive. While it may sound like I am bashing the product, I'm trying not to. Rather, I want to be honest with my experience in comparison to my hearing condition. The price point is still great especially compared to the competition. So at this price point, the features, and the sound quality I think they are a good entry point for someone wanting to checkout hearing aids. I personally like the fact that these are behind the ear devices with dome tips that are designed to allow ambient sound in along with the amplified. This is to keep you from having that occlusion effect where they feel their ears are full or blocked. Long review I know, but hopefully you have found something that is useful in it. Again hearing like eyesight is different from person to person, so you will have to test this pair and see if they work well for you. I continue to use them when I go out in public and they do what I need them to do, amplify and clarify speech for me. ... show more

  • I wish I had not bought these.
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
I am truly sorry I bought these. First of all, I have to remove them whenever I play my guitar. They make the high strings sound like they are buzzing on the frets. The sound is absolutely horrible. They are not bad when it's just one on one and you are outside. When turned up enough to hear who is talking while outside, the birds sound like they are chirping while sitting on top of your head though. That's annoying. I used them on Thanksgiving at my sisters house thinking that it was going to be great to finally be able to hear conversations. Wrong. Her house has tile floors, blinds instead of curtains, and not much on the walls to deaden the sound. I couldn't understand what anyone was saying because of the background noise. What was most annoying was the sound made when a fork makes contact with a plate. Multiply that by everyone sitting at the table. It would almost send me sailing through the roof. I wound up taking them off because of that. As for the noise cancellation, I haven't figured out what good it does at all. I've set the noise reduction on every different level available in the settings. I can't tell any difference. The only thing I liked about them is making phone calls, when, and I say again, when I can get them to connect. As soon as you take them out of the charging case and put them in your ear, you hear "Power On" then a short pause and "Connected". Yet even after that, when I would answer a call or make one, I could sometimes only hear the conversation through one side or the other. To hear through both, I would have to hold the volume up button on the one not working pressed for 8 seconds to power it off then hold it pressed another 3 second to power it back on, and all this being done while telling the person your are talking to, just a minute, wait. Then i could hear through both. This happens so often that I have become quite proficient at it. I can still hear and talk while turning the dead one on an off without loosing the call. Here lately, they have started making a loud buzzing noise when I make a phone call. I have to turn them both off then back on to make it stop. My sister texted me this morning right after i tried to call her and said that every time she answered my call that all she could hear was a loud buzzing sound. This is the reason that I decided to write this review. Hopefully it will save someone else from wasting their hard earned money on this brand of hearing aids. Bottom line is, I wouldn't recommend these to my worst enemy. I should've spent a few hunderd dollars more and bought the Lexie's powered by Bose. I bought a pair of the them when they first came out and were sold by Bose. They are still the same hearing aids. Just sold by Lexie now. Mine were not Bluetooth but they make ones that are now. I liked them. I would still be using them if my dog hadn't chewed up the left one that I left laying on the coffee table. I repaired it. It worked for another year but the hinge pin eventually fell out and it no longer holds the battery in place. I wrote a review and talked about that on the my Lexie review. Update: After my original review, Elehear reached out to me directly and offered to refund my purchase price even though I was well past Amazon’s 30‑day return window (it had been 72 days). If I had bought directly from Elehear, I would have had a 45‑day trial, so this offer went beyond what they were required to do. I chose not to take the refund because, although the hearing aids didn’t work well for me overall, they do work well enough for hands‑free phone calls — and that feature alone has value to me. I want to acknowledge the company for standing behind their product. That kind of customer support is rare these days. While these hearing aids didn’t meet my needs except for phone calls, other customers may have a better experience, and people shouldn’t be afraid to try them. ... show more

  • Great pair of hearing aids!
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
These are not simple amplifiers. I have moderate hearing loss and these have helped tremendously. I love the phone app to control all your settings and there are many ways to adjust them through it. They include a hearing test and you can send it in to an them and they will actually send you back the settings they feel will work best for you. They case charges 4 times and the hearing aids stay charged all day and into the night with no problem. I've never even come close to running mine down to a low charge where they wouldn't work. They include many fittings, sizes and styles of earpieces so you are sure to find ones that are comfortable and work best. They are so comfortable I wore them a full day the first day and afterwards. I'd buy them again! ... show more

  • I would say their very nice at any price.
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
Only been about a week wearing them now so here's what I know; They came well packaged and feel very quality. The AI noise cancelling is so good it takes getting used to, it cancels everything even things your paying attention to. When I first put them in they echoed for a few days but after a bout 3 days in they have adjusted themselves perfectly. The battery life serves my lifestyle fine and the charge case stores a few extra charges so don't worry if you loose wall power. that's all for now. BTW they blue tooth to anything unlike the expensive ones. ... show more

  • First Pair
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
These were not what I was expecting, but I've never had hearing aids before, so please keep that in mind for this review. First they are comfortable and easy to put on. It is clear which ear they go in and how to wear them. The sound however, I could hear myself talk loud and clear to loud in my own ears. Hearing the TV better or people talking maybe not so much, maybe this is how hearing aids work, if so I am disappointed. The sound sometimes is louder and heard well sometimes in only one ear and sometimes not really at all. It is so inconsistent I wasn't finding helpful, more annoying than anything else. I may need to make adjustments some how, I just wasn't expecting it to be like that. The charge case and hearing aids themselves are made well and durable. Again as first time user, please keep that in mind, I tried these because of cost and reviews and features. These may work great most, but I am having difficulty. ... show more

  • Not worth the money.
Color: Silver Gray Size: Universal size
UPDATE: I have had these for two months now. The left one has stopped working. The first time it did it, I put it back in the case and reconnected it and it started working. That didn't work this morning. I am going to plug them in to recharge and we'll see if it works tomorrow morning. 60 days use for $400 is pretty pathetic. The instructions for these say you should work up to wearing them for long periods of time but I was able to wear them almost all day right out of the box. They do make the back of my ears a little sore but I'm sure that will get better as I get used to them. They make a life-changing difference. I can interact with people I used to avoid because they talked so softly I couldn't hear them and I got tired of asking them to repeat themselves. They are very easy to install in each ear once you get the cone size figured out. I don't quite get why there is an app: the volume adjustment is an easy to use switch on the back on each device. I tried the different sounds in the app but I didn't really get the point of them. I don't like how they work to listen to TV; there's quite a bit of echo and I wasn't able to get the calibration to work. If you step away from your phone, you will hear a voice telling you you are "disconnected" if you're far enough away, but the devices still work. The instructions could be a little more comprehensive too. Overall, they have been a good value for the money. ... show more
