I bought this EVSE to use an electric dryer outlet at an AirBnb. Please note this is ONLY a 16A hookup, not a 32A or 40A like you may have at home. This equates to 10 miles an hour with my ID4 (but your results may vary). If you're away from home and don't have access to a good public charging network (I'm currently staying outside of St George, UT) this is charging me overnight, as opposed to over a couple days. I write this after having had this charging cable for just one day and one use, and so far I'm happy with the purchase. Just a couple of thoughts: 1) Quite a number of users have mentioned that the there is a tight fit such that the charger is difficult to insert into the car's receptacle and/or difficult to remove. It's true that it is a tight fit for my 2022 RAV4 Prime, but I didn't have any problem plugging it in or removing it. 2) One of the main reasons I purchased this particular cable was that the cable is advertised as 25 feet long, and I need approximately that length to reach the receptacle on my car. While it probably is really 25 feet long, I would say that at least 6 feet of that is the thinner segment of cable between the wall outlet and the controller, which means that I can't secure the controller to the wall; I have to let it hang. 3) The cable comes with a nice carrying case. ... show more

We were having issues with it faulting constantly, we wrote the manufacturer and never got a response about the issues we were having. After reading others comments we figured out that the plug needs to be plugged into an outlet that doesn't have any other things plugged into it. Since we switched plugs we haven't had any other issues. The plug doesn't come with any meanful instructions so you need to do your own research to figure out issues. I kinda wish we got the plug without the additional adapter because it detaches easily. So I have a bit of mixed review; we're using this as a primary plug until we get out electrician to install a level 2. ... show more

This is my very first buy on these type of fast charger. I own a level 1 charger that came with my car. I've researched a lot about level 2 chargers and so many out there that I'm very skiptical of. When I saw this on Amazon. It was the most affordable for me and it seemed legit. To be honest, I wasn't fully sold on this until I started using it. I drive a plug in hybrid with a 13kwh battery. It charges from Zero to Full in 4hours vs 12-13 hours on a level 1 charger. I'm very impressed about this product that I recommended for my father in law to buy the same product. So far, this product does the job well and it sure is affordable compare to others that cost double even triple the price. I have not had a single issue. It is a little warm to the touch, but similar to other EVSEs. Like other EBSEs, it does recommend to not keep connected while not in use; I simply installed a 30A switch at the outlet to turn it off while not in use (I bought the 16A EVSE). This charger has been great for me so far. I happened to have a nema 10-30 outlet not being used in my basement so I was able to get a long enough extension cord to run out to my driveway. It charges at 3.6 kw because it's only 16 amps so it's not super fast but it's three times as fast as the regular charger which serves my purpose.
