I'm just using my mobile connector cable to charge my MY at home. I had two concerns: 1. An unexpected heavy downpour comes in the middle of the night and ruins it. (The manual says it is mildly water resistant, but to avoid heavy rains). 2. Having it stolen. So, I bought this wall mounted case that it decent. I think the lock and the door aren't as strong as they should be, and it's definitely not water tight, which is fine because the mobil connector can get damp. There are other cases that look heavier duty, but I feared they'd require too many modifications to fit what I have going on. I'm certain it will serve its purpose, but I feel it was more expensive than it should be. ... show more

    • Attractive enclosure but lock might not be the strongest.

I got this because my Tesla Wall Connector's cable got slashed by thieves (I thought I lived in a good part of town!) This device nicely secures my Tesla Wall Connector. It's attractive and looks inconspicuous - several other charger enclosures are see through, or obviously hold a charger. There's a gap at the bottom of the enclosure intended for mounting on a post. If you aren't using a post, someone could theraotically pull out cable from the bottom. I solved this by buying a piece of aluminum and cutting it to size, then glueing it to the bottom of the enclosure. You could use a stronger metal. I don't know how secure the lock is. It seems like a determined thief could take a hammer and bust it open. But this enclosure seems enough to deter thieves. For added security, I am thinking of "booby trapping" the enclosure with an outdoor siren that triggers if the door is opened when I'm not home. ... show more

The description is misleading. The lead picture and written description make it look like a fully enclosed waterproof box and do not make it clear there is a large hole in the back of the box. Only when you look at all the photos do you realize there is an open space so it can fit over a small charger on a wall. My electrician was mounting it on a post that was 7.5 inches wide and could not secure it or make sure it's waterproof. We thought they send the wrong box - twice - since I sent the first one back. ... show more
