A Fantastic piece of ingenuity! I recently purchased a Hybrid that had a port to help keep the battery charged and am able to get an extra 50 gas less miles before its time to pay the piper. The vehicle came with a 120volt plug in but discovered that when the battery was just 1/2 used, the 120volt plug in would take 6-8 hours to charged it back up. thats when I decided to try something different. How to begin the search? Well at my job as a pilot our company provides free plug in for any electric vehicle from Tesla’s to motorcycles and the surprising thing to me was that the plug-In fit all the vehicles. When I use this from my company the charging of a fully depleted battery took only 2-3hrs!. Thats when I began looking for a charger to set up at home, 3 1/2hrs from my office. Eviqo caught my eye first, a very sharp looking unit with a 25ft cord and according to the information, easy install, Right!!!!! After combing over the various types and models of electrical charges I settled on the EVIQO as the cost, power and looks are what made that choice easy in the end. The unit arrive very quickly as advertised and the EASE OF INSTALLATION began. (Isn’t that what they all say right?) The instructions were a little confusing at first because I wanted to connect it to a recently installed 240V (like an outlet for a cloths dryer) that I installed outside by the garage door. There are a couple different types and thought I had installed the wrong one, but the instructions steered me straight. Before mounting instructions have you open the unit up and dial in the power-out that you want 20-30-40-50 AMPS!!!! Once again I thinking “hear we go!” But after reading the instructors a few times and pondering the situation it all made sense. My breakers are 50 AMPS so 40AMPS is what the instructions advised. A piece of cake by following the instructions. Mounting was very easy if instructions are followed. Being outside yet pervious to the weather I decided to enclose the unit unit a cover to help it survive the weather here in land of unpredictable weather, even though it says it is protected from that but I wasn’t going to take any chances. After completion of this 3-4 hour journey the time came. First thing was to download the EVIQO app and set it up which was actually very easy. Lots of good information on it. Powered the 50Amp CB on and the EVIQO started to light up, very cool! Then it was plug in time to the vehicle and it worked perfectly. The app showing the charge and how much electricity is being sent along with the cost which depends on what you pay per KWH. This unit charged up my vehicles battery faster than the unit back at the office. Very impressive. An extremely solid and well built unit that looks good, feels good and works better than advertised. So if you are in the marker for the best charger no matter what you’re charging EVIQO is the way to go. It comes in a very very strong double thickness box and no way could this be damaged by the shippers, very safe travel all the way. A great company to do business with. Here’s a picture of the unit attached to the outside wall, unfortunately the only one I have.

The charging works very well. It does what it's supposed to do, it is easy to use, and it's reliable. No complaints - I would buy it again and I would recommend it to others. Incidentally, I originally bought a ChargePoint charger, but I couldn't get it to link to my WiFi. I returned it and received a replacement that also had the same problem. I knew that my WiFi signal was available and was certain it wasn't my network, so, I returned it and bought the EVIQO instead. It installed very easily and had no problems with the WiFi. So, as far as I'm concerned, the EVIQO is designed better from an installation perspective, too.

I have been using the hardwired version of this 48 Amp Level 2 charger for close to a year, and it has been absolutely flawless since day one. If you are looking for a dependable charging setup for your EV, this unit delivers exactly what it promises. Pros: Zero Failed Charges: Reliability is the most important factor for an EV charger, and this unit has never let me down. I plug it in, and it works perfectly every single time. Top-Notch App & Monitoring: The Wi-Fi smart app integration is excellent. It connects easily, stays stable, and offers premium-tier control and energy tracking without any glitches. Heavy-Duty Build Quality: The weatherproofing (IP66 / NEMA 4) is robust, and the 25ft cable gives plenty of reach. You can instantly tell it is built to last, providing peace of mind with its UL and ETL safety certifications. This is a great charger. It's very solidly built, comes with the tools you need to mount the hardware so it's fairly tamper resistant. The installation instructions are very clear and installation was very simple, yet solid. You have the option of letting the 'nozzle' hang with a rubber cap secured to prevent rain intrusion, or there's an included mount for the wall next to the charger that you can insert the nozzle to keep it stored. I have two of these chargers, both outside, one uses the nozzle parking mount and the other I just use the rubber cap. Both keep things dry. On the physical device, I can't think of anything to recommend to improve. Going from memory, I believe there are two dip switches in the charger you can flip to limit the charger to one or two lower current limits. This is if you're in situation where you wiring or distribution can't provide full power to the product. Inside the app, there is another slider where you can limit the charger to a specific current. I use this feature as well on one of my chargers and it stays within this limit. I did not use the dip switches and just restricted the charger to 10A input using the app. The app is another point. It's one of the most solid and no nonsense apps out there. I fed it my power cost data (which is fixed for me) and it can give me reports on my charging expenses. It always loads quickly and gives concise summaries of charging history. When I first bought charger, I went with the 60A hard wired one. After seeing the build quality, experiencing the app and overall experience I was impressed. I also have the 50A plugged mentioned earlier have it dialed back to 10A. I've never seen it pull more than 10A. I could have bought some other level 1 charger, but this one is so dang good, I wanted a 2nd one with this quality. The app seamlessly handles two chargers.

I have been using this EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger for my Tesla Model 3 for over a year now. The unit has an SAE J1772 connector for non-Tesla EVs. I use a Syncwire J1772-to-Tesla Adapter for Easy Charging with my Model 3. The EVIQO unit has performed flawlessly for the past year. It is very reliable and efficient! The setup was just plug-and-go! The app's Wi-Fi setup was very simple and straightforward. The user manual included with the unit is clear and easy to follow. I have used two other brands of EV chargers before this and found the EVIQO to be the most reliable, robust, and efficient. I would highly recommend this product!

I'll admit, when I first saw the price of this charger, I thought "you get what you pay for...". But with this charger, you get a whole lot more! I was concerned that this charger might not match the quality of some of the other "name brand" chargers that sell for hundreds more, but I decided to take a chance and I was not disappointed. The charger was easy to install and the instructions were clear and concise. I did have to open it to set the small adjustment switch to the proper setting for my breaker, since I wanted it to charge at a lower amperage than it's capable of providing because my car only draws at about 30 amps while charging. It came with heavy gauge wire terminals that could have been connected to my breaker's #6 wire if I wanted to direct wire it, but I had already installed a NEMA 14-50 outlet on a 50 amp GFCI breaker. And by the way, the charger does not trip the GFCI breaker in my panel which is why many people prefer to direct wire them. A garage outlet is required to have a GFCI breaker by code, but in some cases, a device that has its own internal GFCI can cause nuisance trips. This charger has worked flawlessly with our GFCI-protected outlet with no nuisance tripping so far after several multi-hour charging sessions. Once installed, I downloaded the app which also works well. Sometimes vendors who make great hardware make terrible software, but as a software engineer, I can say that I really like the functionality and UI design of this app. I especially like being able to look at charging session history and see the number of kwh delivered and the total duration of that session. The charger runs well, although I only use it at around 30 amps since our EV only accepts a 7.5kwh charge on a level 2 AC charger. But so far it has charged at the maximum rate that our car allows, and does so without getting warm (these high-amp devices are always a concern with heat and fire). The cable easily reaches from one side of garage where it's mounted to the other side of our two-car garage where the EV is parked. The car's charging port is facing the center of the two-car garage, but there's still a lot of slack left over when charging. The charger "nozzle" fits the car's J1772 charging port without any issues and barely gets warm while charging. It's easy to engage and disengage as well. I would highly recommend this charger to anyone who has an EV and wants a level 2 charger to charge at home. You may be concerned, like I was, about the lower price, thinking perhaps it's lower quality. But it's not, at least in my experience so far. The hardware has good solid build quality to it, the app is intuitive and provides useful information, and it charges at the rate the car accepts (up to it's stated limits, of course). If you need a charger for your EV, the Eviqo is a great solution at a great price. Update: Although the charger has performed well for 7 months, I must deduct one point for functionality of the app. Because we routinely charge for a set time so we aren't constantly charging to 100%, we've come to realize that a convenient feature of the app is missing. There is no way to set the app to charge for a certain length of time and then shut off. This would seem to be a simple addition to the app since the app can manually start and stop a charging session, but when I wrote to their customer service, I was told such a feature was not on their roadmap and was unlikely to be implemented in the future.
