I got these hearing aids because my prescription ones broke and I couldn’t afford to get them fixed. Comparing them to these: Volume is good, but touchy. Easy to get it too high and they squeal. They are bigger and stick out more, not fitting as well as prescription, one fell out once. The right one gets static in it once in a while, maybe defect or interference. Background noise is much higher. They help me to be able to watch TV without subtitles, and carry on a conversation without trying to read lips. I like the recharging, much better than fumbling with tiny batteries. All in all, good for the money. My last ones cost 4K without insurance, so I was lucky to have coverage for them years ago. Now I have coverage with a high deductible so no more prescription hearing aids for me. I am pleased with this purchase. ... show more

My grandfather adopted me at birth, so he was always a little older than average parent. He used to spend a fortune on hearing aids because his hearing was terrible, but every time he lost one, he had to spend money again. There are now more affordable solutions where you may purchase hearing aids that assist someone improve their hearing without going over their spending limit. Next door to us there lives a neighbor, who is slightly elderly. He has poor hearing. Since he is mostly by himself aside from his caregivers who take care of him, I bought these for him as a gift. I appreciate that there are two devices in the package, one for each ear, and that they are each a distinct color so that it is clear which one goes where. For people with mild to moderate hearing loss, these devices are excellent. They arrive in a box that serves as both a storage container and a charging case. The ideal time to charge them, in my opinion, is at night when you're sleeping because they last for around 24 hours before needing to be recharged. Right ear piece works the best, left ear piece did not work as well and did not hold charge as long as the right.

My husband is hard of hearing and doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars on hearing aids so he said he would try these. They worked for maybe 4 months but one of them has now gone bad. It either no longer holds a charge or something in it is broken but it doesn't work. The volume control is difficult to adjust to the right place and not get squealing. I think there are better hearing amplifiers out there if that's what you're looking for. Probably best to just save your money and get proper hearing aids, otherwise be ready to purchase these several times a year when they go out. ... show more

Very hard to adjust the volume, constantly had a sequel and stopped working on the second day. The company sent me another pair free of charge. I still have problem adjusting the volume.

These fit my ear ok and do amplify noise. Wish the volume control wasn't so sensitive as it's hard to get a low setting. Doesn't block out sudden loud noises which feels like a knife going in your ear when it happens. Ok for the price i suppose.

    • Wouldn't fit my ears
Wouldn't fit my ears properly and made to much whistling noise so I sent them back and ordered a pair that fits better. Nothing bad to say about them other than they didn't fit me
