My wife just got this today. Her old hearing aids of about 8 years broke. I paid about $6,500 for them at that time. I paid almost $2000 for this set. She is absolutely thrilled. These are better that her original set. She downloaded the app and set them up herself. It was so exciting for her that she went over to one of her friends that needs hearing aids but couldn't afford them. Her friend tried them and she bought a pair. Very good quality. This is my first time with hearing aids and thought I'd give them a try. This brand has always made quality phone accessories so it seemed natural to try their hearing aids. The case which charges them is a great size and very well made. Fits in my pocket well and isn't too large to be uncomfortable. The hearing aids themselves are very small and once on I did not feel them in or on my ears. The mic on these seems to aim down and behind me so I feel like I hear myself talking and noise behind me better than what is in front of me. Again this is my first time with a hearing aid so I need more time playing with them. My first impression is that the battery life is excellent lasting all day for me no problem and they are very small so comfort and anxiety of people noticing them is minimal. Overall I'm very happy with them so far, but there is definitely an adjustment to getting used to them. The high tones are a little more treble crispy for me and the deeper bass tones can be a little flat. There is no question about how well these are made,but I gave 4 stars because the audio was not what I expected at this price point. My hearing is still pretty good but I got these to help in loud environments where I need to focus on the person in front of me who is talking. Maybe if I was more hearing challenged this would work better but I still need to play with these more. I almost have to have someone stand at my side to get the best quality out of the audio being amplified. Definitely less than custom fit aids but pricy enough that I couldn't give 5 stars based on the experience. Still very good and might be 5 stars after more time using them. ... show more

When I think of hearing aides, I think of older friends constantly sticking their fingers in their ears and trying to adjust their devices. It looks like they are trying to dig for ear wax, and they never can seems to get the adjustments right. Jabra solves that problem with having controls through the app, right on your phone. The Jabra ES700 are excellent hearing aides but they incorporate functionality of other devices, the most notable being the same capability as wireless headsets. The Jabra ES700 can wirelessly connect to any Bluetooth device for streaming of Calls, Music, & other Media. I would have liked to have seen a ANC-Active Noise Cancelling mode (like wireless headsets) in addition to the "Auto Focus" mode. Having ANC on an airplane or other environment with white noise would be a nice feature. I have not used these on an airplane yet, but I will have the opportunity in the near future. The Jabra ES700 also support Auracast, which is essentially a Bluetooth audio broadcasting so many people can listen to a single source. Useful for places of worship that use microphones and allow for the services to be broadcasted through a Auracast device to anyone that needs hearing assistance. Traditionally this is done through additional bulky assisted listening devices, but is not longer required with Auracast enabled hearing aides. The Jabra ES700 also have some other advanced features, above and beyond other hearing aides: ✅ Remote Audiology Services ~ Virtual Appointments with a licensed hearing professional ✅ Clinical Software ~ Remote programing of hearing aids to your unique needs ✅ Free lifetime customer service and technical support from Jabra's US-based Customer Support Team. ✅ 3 year warranty with loss & damage protection ✅ FSA or HSA eligible ✅ 24 hours of runtime with only 3 hours of charge CONs: ❌ Does not have "ANC" mode. Jabra is a great brand name. The first consumer Bluetooth headset was released in 1999 by Ericsson, and was for hands-free calling on mobile devices; but Jabra created the first earpiece officially approved to the Bluetooth standard in September 2000. Jabra was one of the main name brands for high end ear pieces, often paired with Blackberry phones. Eventually Beats (2008) and Airpods (2016) took the consumer wireless headset market. Jabra still has a strong presence in the business market, and I am glad to see them get into this medical market. They are a quality brand. Finally, these are a very personal device. My experience so is 5-Stars; they are light weight, comfortable, charge fast, and I am looking forward to getting Auracast at church. Double-check the return policy, and possibly use HSA/FSA/Prescription/Insurance or any means to soften the $2K price tag. Cyber Monday is also just about 1 month away.
