We ordered these for the husband as one of his prescription BTE had went out, and to use until we could get to the doctor to get a loaner or have it refurbished. These are NOT for severe to profound hearing loss. We were able to send back for a refund, got into the doc for a loaner, and awaiting new prescription BTE to come in and be fitted with new molds. ... show more

I bought a set of these for my 95 year old father in law. He’s had many different, and very expensive, hearing aids and has never been comfortable with them and generally didn’t experience any positive impact on his hearing. Often they amplified all surrounding sound so not much help. He absolutely LOVES these ones. He says he can hear clearly, it’s made a big difference to his demeanor and ability to participate in a conversation, he speaks more softly and doesn’t feel the need to shout. After 2 months one of the hearing aids developed a problem and it was past the return period. I sent an email to the Seller and he was polite and very responsive. Within 2 days he sent out a new pair (arrived yesterday) - no bother, no fuss. Thank you for the customer service and for such an excellent product at an amazing price point. The seller is quick to respond to questions. The enclosed literature with this product states ending frequency of 3,800 which would make this product qualify as a hearing amplifier, not a hearing aid. A check with the seller confirmed that the advertisement specs on Amazon list ending frequency of 6,000, actual hearing aids with different sound fields. Due to the fact that they arrived via USPS (would have to travel via Fed-X or UPS if lithium) and take more time to charge than most other hearing amplifiers and aids the recharging batteries would have to be metal hydride. Metal hydride typically last over twice as long as for charging cycles. To me the extra time to charge is fine considering the overall anticipated charging cycle life expectancy.
