  • Best Office Chair For Sore Backs and Bottoms
The best office chair we have owned. Assembly was quick and painless. We've only been using it now for a few days, but it's super comfortable... particularly for bee who has both lumbar spine and "tailbone" issues, and has to sit for long periods for work. Reclines nicely, and is solid and sturdy. We bought this after reading a lot of reviews and ratings, and I can't imagine that chairs that are $500-$1000 more could possibly be $500-$1000 better. That's another way of saying that this seems to be a great value for the money. Does a high end chair really make that big of a difference to justify $1,000's more? We think not. ... show more

  • Best Office Chair I've Owned!
Color: Black
This is the best quality and most comfortable office chair I've ever owned. The seat cushion is thick and very comfortable. The lumbar support is excellent and can be adjusted to your liking. Even the arms have a higher quality feel than most chairs. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't adjust quite as low to the ground as I would like, but I'm also only 5'4" so this shouldn't be a problem for most people. I use the chair for as much as 8-10 hours a day and it's still comfortable. Highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Excellent for a less expensive chair
Color: Black
I bought this to replace an executive-style chair I've had for years that finally gave up the ghost. It was probably the most comfortable chair of any kind I've ever owned, but when it died—the lumbar adjustment quit working and one of the arm piece threads got stripped—I decided to replace it with something less massive. I couldn't afford a Herman Miller or Steelcase chair, even used, and this one got good reviews somewhere or other so I thought I'd try it out. I've had it about three weeks now and I'm pretty satisfied. The chair is easy to assemble. I did need help setting the seat onto the base after I got the adjustment mechanism attached to the seat bottom because it is *heavy*, but the instructions suggested as much and everything else was easy. The whole process took about 45 minutes from unboxing it to finishing the assembly. The chair is thoroughly adjustable, with multiple settings for the armrests, seat height, seat angle—I have it tilted pretty far forward to keep pressure off my thighs—seat back angle, and lumbar support. I spent about 15 minutes getting all that stuff set up to suit me, and haven't had to change it since. The only thing I don't like about any of the settings is that once you lock in the seat back angle, it's locked in both directions. It won't tilt forward beyond where you want it, but it won't tilt any further back either. Sometimes I like to lean all the way back when I'm not actively typing or using the editing pen, and I can't do that with the back locked. So I just left it unlocked, which means that sometimes it's more vertical than I'd prefer. But i's not a major hassle. The deceased chair was leather. I'm appreciating the mesh back and fabric seat because I live in a subtropical climate and the leather could get sticky. The chair is also a lot lighter and easier to move around because it's narrower, which is good for the tight space I work in. I thought I would miss the cushioning on the seat, which was really good on the old chair, like a plush memory foam mattress, but so far I don't. I do miss it on the arm rests, which have some cushioning but not to the same extent. They're still comfortable and I can work long hours with them, but I couldn't call them luxurious. I tried out a few different Steelcase and Herman Miller chairs even though I knew I couldn't spend that kind of money. This chair most closely resembles the HM Aeron model of the ones I tried. I'm finding it as comfortable as any of them, and i think the price difference is probably due to materials and the length of the warranty. And with regard to the warranty: Herman Miller and Steelcase both have authorized dealers in my town, but Branch does not. If something goes wrong, I'd have to pack the chair up and ship it off to the mainland. The reason I bought the chair on Amazon instead of direct from the manufacturer is that they only ship to the continental U.S., which is where I am not. That's a problem which won't apply to most U.S. Amazon users, but I'd still suggest buying it from the manufacturer if you can. It's not perfect, but it's a good chair and I'm able to spend long hours working in it comfortably. I'm happy. ... show more

  • Best desk chair I have ever sat in - Branch wins
I really wanted yellow but the boulder was Prime and not knowing anything about the seller I decided to go with boulder. The chair was easy to assemble. I have worked in an office type job for over 30 years for all kinds of companies. Now I work at home and my hips and back were in need of a good chair because I spend so many hours in it. Wow! This is the best, most comfortable desk chair my bum has sat upon. The back support is fabulous. Seat cushion has just the right amount of firmness and softness. I haven’t even explored all of the adjustments on it but it’s amazing! Copilot kept recommending a refurbished leaf chair but when I suggested this chair, it agreed it was comparable. I’ve never sat in a leaf but I’m so happy I was able to get a new chair, good warranty, supportive, and comfortable. I never thought I’d be writing an amazing desk chair review. I usually work 8-10 hours 5 days a week. Now I’m thinking about adding a headrest and maybe a Branch desk in the future. ... show more

  • Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro-great purchase!
Color: Shore
I bought this chair a couple weeks ago and have been very pleased so far. My husband assembled it so I can't comment as to how easy it was, except that it was all ready and waiting for me when I got home the first day after delivery :). This was my first "ergonomic chair" after a couple old office supply store specials. (I also bought a footrest that's helping too.) I'm in my late 40s and have noticed more back and neck soreness over time, especially since I do a lot of desk work in my current job. I wanted a chair with adjustable seat depth and lumbar support that's adjustable heightwise and in the amount of lumbar support, which this chair does. There's a lot of adjustability overall which is a plus--I've adjusted the armchair height and width too, and the instructions are helpful in pointing out the different adjustment points. With my neck soreness I also bought the headrest even though I've tried other chairs with headrests and have not liked them. This one has some flex and also height adjustability, so it's much less bothersome and my neck soreness has decreased. I went with the base seat material b/c I knew I didn't want leather, and it's very comfortable. The description is 'mesh', but it's not uncomfortable or scratchy to sit on. The seat is very comfortable, and I'm not constantly readjusting my position as I was in my previous cheapo chairs. Speaking of price, this chair is also a couple hundred bucks less than other erogonomic chairs I was looking at, and I believe I made a great choice! ... show more

  • Excellent except the lumbar support
I had to return it because of the lumbar support. It offers three depth settings, and the first (least prominent) position is the one that works best for me. Unfortunately, in that setting the lumbar support doesn’t stay in place vertically and keeps sliding down. It only holds its position when set to the second or third depth setting, which I found very frustrating. It’s a shame, because aside from that issue, everything else about the chair seemed excellent. ... show more

Made of exceptionally strong and high-grade material -- yet very easy to put together. For the price am happy with function, look and material quality. • Flawed lumbar support comes out of adjustment on its own.
This would be about the best chair for the money if it weren't for a fundamental design flaw. If you have the lumbar support set all the way out, it will shift downwards, out of position, every time you lean back against it or sit down. I had the warranty replacement also do this just about every time too. Customer support seemed to suggest that it's a known issue, so I'm counting it as a design flaw, and had to send it back. I must have gotten lucky, because the one I have in the office has only shifted out of place once ever. Otherwise, this is a great chair and improves on the Ergonomic Chair in almost every way. It's more comfortable, the back is slightly more upright, the arms have detents for adjusting in and out, the tilt tension is easier to adjust, and there are more adjustments overall (not that I needed them, though). Unfortunately due to the design flaw, I had to settle for the Hon Ignition 2.0. ... show more
