Outstanding OTC hearing aids. I'm not a paid reviewer so you can take my experience as one from a person that has had a lot of experience with hearing aids. I've been wearing store bought, expensive hearing aids for over 3 years now, and also helped my FIL with his for many years. In my opinion, these hearing outperform my current hearing aids in many ways. First off you should know that I don't believe that these are "digital" hearing aids, I might be wrong but I don't think so. These appear to be analog hearing aids, with no digital conversion to analog after processing the sound. I truly believe that analog hearing aids sound much more natural and are easier for the electronics to process the sound. Also, the hearing test that they offer is just for determining if you would benefit from these, having mild to moderate hearing loss. I also don't think the hearing test results are somehow transferred into the hearing aid, like one bought from an audiologist, but this is not necessarily bad because you can adjust the frequency range independently in each ear using the app. One should wear these all day in order to get used to wearing a hearing aid and give it time for your brain to adjust. I have been wearing these hearing aids from the time I get up until bedtime and they are very comfortable. The battery life is excellent and the charger works well. These aids work so much better than my more expensive store bought, that I now prefer these, so that's saying a lot. The customer service is excellent, which is a plus. Overall I can highly recommend these hearing aids, especially for the price, to anyone with mild to moderate hearing loss, and I'm excited to have such a product available for OTC purchase. Remember to not get frustrated, experiment around with the app, and work up to wearing them all day. Good luck.

Very decent OTC hearing aid. It’s been a game changer for our family, as our loved one can now fully participate in our conversations - instead of guessing what people said, or nodding as if they heard (but didn’t). It’s easy to charge and slip into the ear. The charging case is user friendly too. We didn’t have a lot of money to spend on a prescription one, but this has been worth every penny so far (three months in).

Ok only 3 days in but so far impressed. Had to use smallest cone and still a little uncomfortable in one ear. Sound quality is surprisingly good. I went to the beach today and could hear the bubbles in the seafoam popping like rice crispys in the surf. Also like the charger/craddle carries a charge as well so you can charge on the go. Will continue to update.

I had my hearing tested by an audiologist and determined I need hearing aids. The office had me try ones they suggested. These Elehear seem very similar and offer a great solution with an affordable price (Much less than the hearing aid doctor's office)! It is my first rodeo with hearing aids, but I LOVE the ease of adjusting them, once I figured out the features on the ap. *Make sure you utilize the "Tuning" section and there is a fabulous feature to "Have a try" at the bottom right as you find the settings that work well for clarification! This feature has simulated voices of people talking so you can customize it for left and right and exactly the volume and tone for each ear!! (My right ear is worse than my left) I wasn't thrilled to know I need hearing assistance, but if I had to have them, these are a GREAT choice! Thank you!!

I really wanted this to work. I’ve worn hearing aids for many years. I’ve had prescription and maybe this is why I’m a little disappointed. I lost one of mine so I was looking for a substitution. The good points first. Bluetooth and Rechargeable- no batteries to deal with. It allows you to hear when you just simply cannot and if you have no other means- you just need something that works. It’s a decent alternative at a reasonable price. The not so good - I've worn OTE before but these are bulky behind the ear and make it very awkward if you wear glasses. It would be better if they were thinner. They need the “pigtail” that keeps the hearing aid inside the ear. Mine kept popping out and I just became frustrated with them. Yes, I put them back in - but without that little piece of tail - they pop out very often. I contacted customer service and they sell them separately. I also tried changing the domes thinking this would help - it did not. Customer service also stated ill fitting would also produce the “squeal” if you had them too loud. But you’d have to have them louder because they wouldn’t stay in your ear. When you take them out - don’t leave them close to one another, they produce loud feedback. Adjustment- I just couldn’t get the setting right. In the app, there’s a range of “atmospheric” choices but no fine tuning for pitch or volume. For example you can regulate the volume, and tone settings - but not like the equalizer of a stereo panel. Because everyone’s hearing is different- choosing a generic setting is just too broad. This function might be available on an upgraded model, just not this one. Along with the bulkiness of the component behind the ear- the wire was not the right length for me. I believe it was too long and without that “pigtail” providing stability to remain seated in my ear canal - they would fall out often. I was constantly making sure they were in my ear and most often-they weren’t. Conclusion - they might work for some and not for others. Though I really wanted them to work - they just didn’t fit. The clarity was not there, it wasn’t crisp. But that could be due to them not fitting well I am glad that I have the opportunity to return for a refund, because sometimes things just do not work out.
