I have been drinking different Chaga Tea's for at least 2 years. When I opened this bag its sealed very good, and the Chaga was fresh, but not big chunks! I was surprised , but just after simmering ( do Not boil) about 4 small chunks in my all glass 12 cup tea pot for only about 30 to 40 mins this raw organic chaga was a Dark brown, and ready to Drink. I have used these chunks about 3 , or 4 times, again and still came out dark, then a darker carmal color. Although.after that I dont use them any more, the color is too Lite for me.. (maybe put in my veggie garden!!) I added about 1/4 tea sp.raw organic honey to my cup, and the taste was very good. To me, this did not have much of a taste before adding the honey. Actually no taste. That said it did Not, and should not have a smoky taste either. My last bag of a different brand I bought from Amazon had a burned smoky flavor to it that was awful, and Not Chaga to me. Amazon gave me my money back on that one. When my chaga tea has cooled down in my glass tea pot, i put it in my frig. The chaga chunks i have taken out, And put in a small corelle bowl when it cools and dries down. I cover the bowl with glad wrap store in frig for The next time I make chaga tea.( corelle dinnerware is made in the Usa, & does not have Any Lead, or Cadium in it) I will be buying more bags of Atomic Nature Chaga. Very satisfying Chaga Tea.. The 3 teas that are very helpful not to get cancer is, Chaga tea, and organic Dandelion tea, and organic Green tea. (We drink organic green Kombucha tea., also stops indigestion)

I read about the benefits and wanted to try it out, so I smashed it into powder and ground it up into powder that I sprinkled into my oatmeal. I noticed absolutely nothing. I quit using it. I've been sick for a week, I don't know if it's fighting a cold or infection but my throat is swollen and full of mucus. I decided to give the tea idea whirl. I boiled it covered for about a half an hour, until the water turned black. About half of the water had boiled off. I dumped it in a cup, added a bunch of cold water to kind of dilute the flavor and speed up the cooling process. Actually, the flavor isn't too bad. I noticed the effect immediately. I take Beta Alanine sometimes, it's an amino acid in pre-work out that makes you tingle. The second that stuff hits my tongue my lip tingles and I know it's being absorbed into my blood stream right away. The same thing happened when I took this stuff. It doesn't cause the paresthesia (tingling), but I felt energized and a lot better instantaneously. I don't think it's cured me of this cold just yet but it'll be interesting to see what happens when I wake up in the morning. Whatever it's doing - I'm going to have a second cup. I'll definitely be re-ordering this when I run out of chunks.

I love this tea, and this product in particular is both affordable and has good quality. From what I've read, it has adaptogenic properties which basically means it allows your body to deal with stress better, as well as many anti oxidants and nutrients. Apparently it contains magnesium, iron, and calcium, which are all good for vegetarians and vegans, as those are hard to get nutrients. I love this tea. Its rich and earthy, and mixes very well with other teas. In the morning, I'll combine it with my coffee and sometimes throw in some matcha, which all works together very well, and at night I like to combine it with some herbal teas like chamomile, rooibos, or stinging nettle. What I do is throw 3 to 5 chunks into a large pot of water, warm but not hot because getting it too hot because it apparently will burn away the good nutrients and anti oxidants. I leave it on a stove top, covered, for at the very least and hour, but I like it stronger so sometimes I'll leave it for 2 to 3 hours. Then I remove the chunks, put them in a bag, and put that in the fridge because you can reuse them until the tea loses flavor. Then just put them in some jars and you can keep them refrigerated for like two weeks. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys teas.

Only half the pieces have the important black stuff on them. However, when I messaged the seller, they pointed out that they dont guarantee black stuff on every chunk, but its tough to tell if a chunk is actually mushroom (vs wood) w/out the black. Since I have it, I've made the tea, so far only with black stuff chunks. As of yet, no magic anti-inflammatory properties & simmering for hours just ended up with over brewed tea. The tea was nice & dark after just 20 minutes of brewing. No weird flavor, kind of like bland black tea. They dont take returns, I couldn't return it, especially since I had to open it to see the chinks but they still issued a refund since I was not happy with the product. The seller was good on their word & refunded the entire purchase price, very quickly. Seller was also professional, not at all rude in every message. Impressed with seller, just not so much the product.

I have used this product for 2 to 3 years now. I add a couple of pieces to my green tea in the morning, at least 3 or 4 times per week. In researching chaga there is agreement to the positive boost it gives your immune system. I have not been sick in the years I have taken this product. I freeze the pieces I use and reuse them a few times before discarding them. I suggested this to someone who seemed to be on antibiotics every month. She has used it for about a year and has not taken antibiotics in the year! I also add a little sprinkle of relishing mushroom to heighten the effect. It works for me!

This is perfect - I like it with my fresh goldenrod makes an excellent anti-inflammatory tea. Can leave it out brewed for up to a week (5 days or less is better flavor) and it never gets fungus on it like coffee would in 2 days. I noted I make fewer nighttime trips to the lavatory when I remember to drink this every other day is my personal observation on immediately evident health benefits.
