Becareful with this adapter. I was charging at 32Amps on this when it should have been 24amps. This outlet plug is meant only for 30amp breakers, and should never go over 80%. Very dangerous. Just be cautious when checking the charging rate. I must have gotten a defective one as well.

I have a 14-30 outlet to charge my car in my garage. Used this to connect to my mobile charger. I noticed that my circuit breaker for the outlet was making a noticeable buzzing noise and was very warm to the touch. Checked the tesla app and it was pulling 32 or 36 amps, can't remember exactly. I manually lowered the amps and then it worked fine. Ended up returning it and just ordering the adapter from Tesla and it auto defaults to 24 amps. ... show more

Wanted to have some flexibility for when I travel with my tesla and this was perfect to add to the collection. I don't rely on plugs like this often but it would be way faster than a 15/20amp standard outlet. Would recommend getting a few of the more common plugs if you can so you could have faster charging options say at an airbnb.... ... show more

Oddly, Tesla does not supply the NEMA 14-30 plug adapter used for household dryer outlets. So this one is a perfect fit. No gas when inserted into my Tesla mobile charger. It is a bit awkward to fit it in my charger case as it is longer than others, but still good for me.
