Description

What type of outlet does this charger use? This charger uses a NEMA 10-30 outlet, commonly found on older 3-prong dryer circuits (240V, 30A). Make sure your circuit supports 30 amps and has proper grounding. Is this charger compatible with my EV? This level 2 charger works with 98% electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids that use the SAE J1772 connector, including models from Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, and more. Tesla vehicles require a J1772-to-Tesla adapter. How do I select the appropriate charging current (10A, 12A, 16A, 20A, 24A)? Amperage depends on your circuit and EV 1. If your car only accepts 16A, higher settings won’t help 2. Use lower amps (10A–12A) if wiring is uncertain or it’s hot 3. Start at 16A–20A, and go up to 24A only if your setup can safely support it Can I use this charger outdoors? Yes, it’s built with weatherproof housing (IP66-rated) and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Note: Plug and connector ends are not waterproof — please keep them dry during use and storage Is a GFCI breaker required? Yes, for safety, use this charger on a 30A GFCI-protected circuit, especially when using older dryer outlets.
