I won't blame them for my misunderstanding. Here's my setup: 1- Laptop MSI 1- Huion drawing tablet 1- Big display/monitor I was hoping I could use this splitter to have 2 HDMI's come out of my laptop, so I could have my laptop screen turned off/black, my big screen with a picture for drawing reference, and my Krita/drawing software in my Huion screen. Does NOT work for this. I get the same split image coming out from both screens, no way for Windows or my video card to spit out two different signals, the software just reads it as one. So this just splits the signal which is useful for some people, if you want two different images and your computer only has one HDMI out I think you need USB-c to HDMI adapter (some work, some don't) or something like blackmagic product. ... show more

Only had for couple months and worked fine until now. Now every time I turn TV on it won't work until I unplug it and replug it in. (Edit/Update) Company reached out and sent me a replacement so am changing review from 1 star to 4 star. Was bummer that first one messed up but it happens, the customer support people I dealt with were awesome and made it right end the end. I needed to output one HDMI signal to two televisions. This product performed the task perfectly. It is true that the HDMI quality will default to the lower of the two television capabilities when powered up (e.g. splitting HDMI to a 720p television and a 1080p television will default to 720p), but that is due to the source detecting the televisions, not a fault with this product (research "HDMI handshake process" to learn more about this). In my case, I was able to edit my source settings (DVR) to force 1080p to both televisions, which remains that way unless I disconnect power to the televisions. Couldn't be happier! ... show more

Unless you dig deeply you are unaware that this device requires an external power supply. This should be shown in every picture of the device especially in the ones showing how to hook it up. The information is shown but you have to dig to find it. I have not used the device yet but wanted to warn people that this is not an unpowered standalone device as is implied in the first picture you see. Update: I finally tried to hook up the device and it only works intermittently in my application. I tried calling the customer support telephone number and get a telephone company message that the call cannot be completed. I tried to access the manufacturer website and my web browser warns that it is not a secure site and poses a security threat. Amazon replaced the unit without question and I'm having different results from the second unit. With some help from the manufacturer who CONTACTED ME, I have determined that even though my ethernet to HDMI system works to put my video security system on my big screen TV, inserting the splitter between the converter and the HDMI input on the TV kills the signal. Further testing showed that an HDMI cable all the way from the NVR to the TV works with the splitter. It just doesn't work with the HDMI output from the converter to the TV. Update: I obtained an upgraded version of the device that works at 60 HZ and this has solved the problem. So in review, the 30 HZ device will work using HDMI directly from your source but is unstable if you use an ethernet to HDMI converter. The HDMI converter requires the 60 HZ upgraded device. The pictures and description for this product do not make it very clear, but this splitter also needs a USB connection for power. The cable is included, but most of the pictures and description make it look like you just have one HDMI input and two HDMI outputs. There is another connection: the USB power. You do need this one if you have a computer hooked to a monitor and a TV. This one will pass EDID information back to the source computer so your computer sees the monitor and sends it the correct resolution. Without the power connection, the computer doesn't get any info back from the monitor, and it will display it in about 640x480 resolution, if it displays it at all. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pictures and description do not make it clear what you are getting and why you need it. ... show more

I have this connected to my switch and a capture card so that I can stream without any quality loss. This helps me split it to an app like discord or other streaming software. It was easy to setup and it has a power port but if your cables already supply power, you might not need to plug it into mini USB power. ... show more

Update: This is not a splitter, this is a screen duplicator. Company reached out to fix the problem. As a duplicator (which is listed in the description), the product is great. READ the description before buying! As a duplicator, this product is awesome. The imaging was clear, the picture quality was great. The exact same image appeared on both of my screens (which is the point of the product). Overall, if you are looking for a duplicator for your laptop, or other device, this will have one HDMI cord with it. You will need two additional ones for the screens you wish to steam to. Solid product. It does not come with a charging block for the cord (which is fine), just something buyers may want to be wary of if they expect it to come with one. ... show more
