I ordered 3 completely different JOFIOS ceiling fans. A 48" white, a 48" black, and this fan, a 52" white. This was the first fan we installed, and we put it up in our living room. It's very modern looking, and it has really cool features. There's just one big problem... The fan doesn't work properly. Once it was connected to power, we tested the fan motor to make sure it worked before we completed the installation. The fan motor rotated normally with no blades attached. However, once everything was together, the fan wouldn't work. When you turn it on, it appears that the motor isn't strong enough to turn the fan. It just barely starts to move the fan blades, and we actually have to "jump start" the fan every time we want it to turn on. It works great once it gets moving, but it defeats the purpose of having a remote controlled fan. The upside is that it's in a larger common area where we usually keep it on or off, and we rarely adjust the speed. This would be a much bigger issue if it was a bedroom fan. The other 2 JOFIOS fans work perfectly, and we couldn't be happier with them. I think this fan was an exception, and I would still order JOFIOS fans in the future.

Having recently tested several fans, this one is absolutely leaps and bounds above the rest. Firstly, the build quality is great, comparable to some others that I assume are made in the same factory, (due to design and packaging similarities). This one has some extras that make it better though. Firstly, everything fits together perfectly, I can't say that for the others. The finish on this is actually quite beautiful, I decided to try the wood blades with the black hardware, and it looks fantastic! Performance wise, this thing is big. It moves a lot of air, enough for a large family room. It is also quiet, not whisper quiet, but just enough to provide a relaxing background noise while you sleep. The controller and app are both very responsive, like instantaneous, but I will say that despite getting the mounting hardware, I don't seem to have received a wall mount for the controller. I checked everywhere and cant find it, which for me is not a huge issue, I will 3d print one later. As for flaws, so far the only issue is that it seems to struggle to get moving sometimes. It will start off backwards for a split second, (which seems to be normal for these Chinese made fans), and then go forwards. What this one does is it lurches forwards, stops, then lurches forward again, sometimes 5 or 6 times. It's almost like the motor struggles to get the extra large blades turning. So far it eventually gets it though, so I can't say it's faulty. If it ever does fail, I will definitely update my review.

This fan was super easy to install and is such a HUGE upgrade to my bedroom! The app is easy to use and is fast to open. The control box was a tad tricky to get into place above where the bar connects but that's probably because we was trying to rush (it did fit fine). I had a ceiling fan previously installed in this room that I bought a couple years ago from a local home improvement store. Although the old one was about 4 inches longer in the blade length, this fan is FAR STRONGER at moving the air! I have only left this fan on 2 because it is sufficient to move the air - the old fan had 3 settings and I always had to leave it on medium. The reason we switched out fans is because we don't want to climb a ladder to flip a switch to change the direction for the changing of the seasons. With this fan & app we don't have to do anything but click in the app! So much easier! Another perk is the ability to choose the setting that has the wind icon with a leaf icon - no clue what it's called but we refer to it as the natural wind setting. That setting is amazing! It speeds up and down and really makes it feel as if it's wind coming in from the window. PERFECT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍😁👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
