I assembled, disassembled, then assembled again in less than 40 minutes. Why the disassembly? Because I didn’t follow directions and didn’t join the blue and black wires under the wire nut, thus the light kit was without power. I really liked the bracket that goes to the ceiling box, in that it allows you to hang the bracket and motor with a hinge-like support while allowing you to connect the wires without a helper. Tip: make sure you check that your electrical connections are secure by pulling on the wires after you’ve screwed them into the wire nut, and wrap a bit of electrical tape around the wires and onto the nut, just for good measure. The LED bulb that comes with the light kit is smaller in size than a normal bulb and puts out about as much light as a 60 watt incandescent bulb might generate in a warm white temperature (photo makes the light look cooler than it is). I gave it one less star because it is not for anyone who has never installed one before. Not knowing how to do it will be challenging. I have done many over the years so I know exactly what I am doing. When completed, it was in balance, no wobble. It also looks beautiful in her living room and moves the air like it should. Had to hand balance the fan which is not for the faint of heart. A complete pain to install. Like a puzzle box if you don’t follow the instructions to the letter, which means you must balance the fan after it’s already on the ceiling. Who is going to do that? Adding a star because, once it’s balanced, it’s quiet, at least at medium. This is the third fan I have tried, others I got from Home Depot. Fans costing 4x as much all seem to have similarly cheap construction, imbalanced, and noisy due to wobbling, so there is no point in paying more than $50 for these. ... show more
