  • Great little fan!
This is a fantastic fan! I bought this to use in my gazebo and was pleasantly surprised. I like the remote control and options to choose a speed. It's super quiet and puts out a really good airflow! It's perfect for us in the evening so we can sit on the deck. When hanging it from a hook, it does try to twist when you turn it on, but any fan with decent torque is going to do that unless its secured to a mounting surface. I've seen some complain about this... it's physics people, not the product's fault! Also, anyone claiming the blades fly out clearly must not be able to read or follow instructions. The instructions show which way to install the blades and to make sure they "click" into place so they are secure, otherwise "they may fly out during operation". Just pay attention, assemble it correctly and don't blame the product if you can't follow directions! Overall, I'm very impressed with this unit and hoping it lasts a long time. This is way better, and cheaper than other fans I have tried in the past (that also broke in a few weeks). Can't go wrong for the price. ... show more

  • Works well, easy to set up. Works well, easy to set up.
I bought these fans for my garage, which I'm converting into a man cave-type area as a gift for my husband. I didn't want anything heavy, and I wanted to be able to move them around to find the best place for them. These were perfect. They're quiet, lightweight, put out a decent amout of air, and are easy to put together. They have a pretty long cord, which is nice. Some people have complained that the cord twists around it and pulls out. This happens because the hanger allows you to just hang it on a hook, where it can turn and get the cord wrapped around. I just used some short zip ties to fasten the hanger so it stays more stationary, and it seems to work. Some people have complained about blades flying out. I haven't had that problem, but my guess is those people didn't realize you have to push the blades all the way in until they snap in place. These are very lightweight and I get why some people think they look cheap. But once they're up there, they look fine for my purposes. ... show more

  • Overpriced disposable fan
It would be nice if someone would manufacture a high-quality fan you can connect to a D/C battery. There's a market for it. Alas, this product isn't it. I was just in the middle of trying to set it up. It worked when I first used the A/C adapter and plugged it into an outlet. Then I tried it using the alligator clamps directly to a 12v D/C battery. Nothing. Tried another battery. Nothing. Tried yey another one. Nothing. Now it won't even work with the outlet. These are the old-fashioned Chinese factory work-station fans from 20 years ago, built cheaply and meant to be easily replaceable when they crap out. It's wasteful, and it doesn't work for us on the US side when the seller's profit margins are so high. In other words, we can't buy them for peanuts and toss them out whenever they quickly burn out. Mine burned out immediately. I was willing to give it a try. I guess I got lucky. Side note: The battery clamps are encased in an overly heavy duty rubber and not spaced far enough apart to connect to a standard deep-cycle battery. You'll have to cut into it. So what were they made for exactly? ... show more

  • Surprisingly powerful
I purchased this fan because I currently cannot afford to hire an electrician to run the electrical line for a permanent ceiling fan through the attic. I have cathedral ceilings with an open floor plan which makes that quite difficult. The really good news first: This little fan is surprisingly powerful while overall pretty quiet. It is a lot quieter than my pedestal fan. I mounted it pretty close to where I’m sitting on the couch because I wanted to actually feel the wind. I didn’t give it 5 stars because: 1. In the first and second speed (lowest) it emits a very high pitch noise. If your hearing is super-good it might be very bothersome when the house is quiet like it is for me. I cannot run it on low speed unless music is on. In the lowest gear it also has a low frequency vibration that’s for some reason picked up by something in my ceiling and amplified. Double whammy. 2. When switching it on and off the motor literally wrenches on the little hanging loop to a degree that it works the power cord loose within a short time. I managed to get that under control by wrapping the hook and the loop in sticky insulation tape that gives and buffers the movement and tape down the power connector as well. Going up onto the ladder every couple of days didn’t appeal. Did I mention I have cathedral ceilings? 3. Note that it cannot reverse the direction for winter/summer. If you need that, this fan is not for you. 4. When first installing it make sure to push the blades in *really* well. Not just until you feel resistance but until you hear and feel an audible click. Then they will not come out as some reviews have claimed. Aside from those issues the fan is wonderful in the current high temperatures! Much better than my pedestal fans and using a fraction of the electricity those eat up. It’s been running almost continuously for a couple of weeks and I love it. ... show more

  • Good little fan Good little fan
The fan is simple and very light but it is great for simple uses. I needed one for my ceiling in my dog boarding facility which could not handle a ceiling fan. This fan is small enough and easy enough to install. It works great to circulate air. It does have quite a bit of torque when it starts and so my contractor adjusted the way it was hung, so that it would not unplug itself. This took care of that totally. Cable stapled the wire out of the way, works very well. The hum that it makes just sounds like white noise to me ... show more

  • Works great and then doesn't....
Installed easily (make sure to install the blades as shown in the image with the "700mm" facing up) and worked great, moves a ton of air, cools a large outdoor gazebo area and keeps the bugs away. Used it the entire summer of 2024 and then put it away for the winter. Took it out two weeks ago and it no longer works. Replaced the batteries in the remote, the remote LED (bright red) lights up when I press the buttons, but no response. Pressing the physical button does nothing either. Upset because it worked great when it worked, but not sure why a few months in a box in the basement would kill it. There is a blank button on the remote, I wasn't sure if that was for pairing with the fan? But there are no instructions anywhere so not sure if that's required. Will probably purchase a different model for now, but would come back to this fan if I could get more than 5 months out of it... ... show more

  • Great fan, moves a lot of air!
After reviewing many different fans, I found this one to have the best value and functionality. You have 3 different ways you can power this fan. It includes a decent remote (usable distance is short) with 3 different speed options and 3 different sleep timer intervals. It does have a lot of torque on startup so you have to secure it well to something strong/sturdy. Been using it for 2 months in my RV now and haven't had any issues. Normally I wake up in a pool of sweat however with this fan I wake up cool and sweat free. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Good little fan but horrible inline controller
The 5v fan is nice and quiet and moves alot of air for its size but the inline switch fails within a day or two. Even the replacement i got failed the exact same way(resistor blows inside the inline switch housing) so I bought a usb speed controller and now I can speed up or slow down the fan smoothly with variable speeds. Like all the other 5v-12v fans out there the plastic blades snap in place and hold securly(make sure they are oriented the correct way up and you push all the way in until it "pops*into place) to me it almost felt like I was going to break them but they did give the last little pop and were fully seated and with no tools needed. ... show more
