This large 72" ceiling fan works as expected. This ceiling fan is a nice upgrade over the usual 42" and 52" fans, provides much more air circulation without even having to run at max speed. Not too loud and better speed selection than 3 speed fans. Have found 8 blades put out consistent air pressure and a bit more over 5 blade fans, as well as even better than ceiling fans with just 3 blades that a pulsing feel of air hitting you. The media could not be loaded. Really nice and affordable fan. It’s large and creates a really nice draft. It has many settings, fan can go both ways and the light has settings for warmth. It has 3 height settings (we used the shortest one). It was fairly easy to assemble. Some screws are mixed with other screws so if you can’t find a screw just go through all the baggies. The media could not be loaded. I’m torn in writing this review because I feel like it was the hardest thing to set up, but the fan totally kicks ass. The directions aren’t clear/beginner friendly..unless we are both really dumb. Which is likely but we have hung up multiple ceiling fans in the past. I recommend putting it together on the ground (but putting the blades on last once it’s hung). That would have saved us a ton of headache. Another thing that I wish I would’ve paid attention to is that this fan does not allow for multi switch functionality. So we have a two switches on the wall but only one switch will now work to power on this fan-that doesn’t bug me too much. We hung the remote on the wall next to the switches. Overall though the fan doesn’t give you that annoying humming sound, it’s quiet and the six different speeds are fantastic. The 3 different light options are perfect. I couldn’t be happier with the fan now that it’s properly set up..however, I was so sure we were gonna be in divorce court first thing Monday morning over the install of this fan. Coverage area that receives airflow is fantastic. Our living room is a 20x20 area and this EASILY covers it all. Lastly, the fan looks identical to the photos and I couldn’t be happier with the look. ... show more

    • Awesome large fan! Using this in a high ceiling garage to circulate air

I got this for a garage with a 14' ceiling, to help circulate air over an area we work on cars. I like that the blade design is more of a modern/minimalistic industrial style, and included a light. The wiring was no different than other ceiling lights I've installed, but I did make sure to reinforce the mounting box because of possible vibrations. Having a remote was critical, because I didn't want to run a wire down to the wall as a switch to control the speed and direction. I made a little 3d printed remote holder so it has a place to live, but I may also add some kind of tether so it doesn't get misplaced in the garage. I used the black side down, and keep the light on cool white. It's not as bright as my petal style garage lights, but it's at least something. The timer feature is another great option I didn't know I needed. Now I don't worry about forgetting to shut it off. The fan is nearly silent, especially at low speeds. I'm very happy with the quality and functionality for the price, it seems better than anything I could have bought at the local big box store, and doesn't have the huge price tag of the "Big *ss Fan" company's products. ... show more
