Don’t let the tiny box fool you, this fan helps cool a good size area. My daughter uses one in her kitchen but it keeps her kitchen and living room cool! We also use in our kitchen, over the sink. Our ceilings are higher but, on the higher speeds, you can feel the air. It’s helps circulate the air. The light is also adjustable so you can adjust the brightness to your liking. I prefer lower lighting so it’s nice to be able to adjust accordingly. The remote is also easy to use. We have it mounted with Velcro tape but you can screw it in the wall if needed. It was super easy to put together. I wish all ceiling fans were this easy to assemble! I can hear it humming as it runs. Usually, when people are talking or there’s a tv/radio on, you won’t notice it. But when it’s quiet, I can hear it. Nothing major, just an observation. All-in-all, it was a great purchase and I would definitely buy it again! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Why did you pick this product vs others?: The price was right and it had an extender. I needed it for the lamp I am using it in. Color: The color black is perfect because it matches my lamp. Remote control: The remote control makes it very handy to change lighting and fan speed. Ease of installation: Just had to install the blades which just snapped into place. Added the extender and screwed it into my floor lamp. Noise level: The noise level is acceptable to me especially on low or medium. High speed would not be ideal for sleeping. Size: The aize fit my floor lamp perfectly. Small & compact but mighty. Low profile & short paddles allow usage in many rooms. But being able to screw into a light socket without calling an electrician ($$$) is a huge bonus. Took me 5 minutes to install, if that - most of that time was just getting out the step ladder. It's quiet & just enough air movement to lower the temp in the room I'm in withut cranking up the A/C. My fan came with 2 extenders. Worked good with my little restroom deep socket recessed light. That gave this little fan more air to pull down from the ceiling and down onto the person below. Was cautious about this fan at 1st it was small and light. The installation was nearly as easy as changing a light bulb. The fan and light pull more light and air than expected. Works really well. Only thing so far is makes a odd humming noise could be quieter for using at night.
