The baby pink color is soft and calming—not too bright or “bubblegum pink”—which was exactly what I was looking for. This particular style advertised 95% blackout (flip thru product images to see percentage blackout you can expect from the style and color of your choosing). I concur - see photos. We got a curtain rod that allows the curtains to touch the wall as well, so only a small amount of light emits from the tops. Photos show same time of day with the door to the room closed (ambient daylight from the hall would be enough to light up the room - we get a lot of sun from a lot of angles in our home). They definitely do the job my teenage son wanted - blocking virtually all light. The curtains also look and feel luxurious. They slide smoothly. I love the color. Best black curtains I ever bought. Not only do they keep the light out, but they also block a lot of the sun’s heat. I bought these curtains for my son‘s bedroom and now have purchased 3 more for our bathrooms, other son’s room, and master bedroom. They aren’t too heavy either so using a generic curtain rod, like we got, works good for us. The curtains are nice and thick. 5 stars from me! My last pair of black out curtains got ruined from the wash, and was letting in too much light, so I decided to buy these ones. We bought 2 pairs for our room to keep the curtains flowy and allow our cats movement through them. My room is now completely dark in the mornings. I feel like the curtains help keep our room cooler, but we live in Houston, and the heat can sometimes still seep through, so I wouldn’t blame the curtains per se. size was perfect for our windows, and the material feels heavy and of good quality. The rings on the top of the curtains help them move easily so I can let light in if I wanted to. We ordered the gray curtains and so far it hasn’t seem like the curtains have attracted a lot of hair from our cat either. Overall I would buy these again. ... show more
