  • SPECIALLY DESIGNED: On its own, the Reptology Turtle Topper can only fit most standard rectangular tanks up to 55 gallons and 13 wide. With these Extender Clips, you can now mount the Turtle Topper on rectangular tanks up to 55 gallons and 19.5 wide.
  • EASY TO USE: With the suction cup facing up and in, place the Extender Clip on the wall of an open tank, and then tighten the plastic screw by turning it clockwise. Repeat 3 more times, and youre good to mount your Turtle Topper.
  • SECURE MOUNTING: When all 4 Extender Clips are mounted and aliened properly, the Turtle Topper sits comfortably atop the 1 suction cups, allowing your turtles to safely climb to the basking platform.
  • SMALL and STURDY: While the Extender Clips are optional and dont come with the Turtle Topper, theyre always good to have on hand. For instance, if youre changing tanks or moving to another house, you no longer have to limit yourself to 13 wide tanks. With the approximate dimensions of 1.5 (W) x 5.25 (D) x 3 (H) for each Extender Clip, storage is not an issue.

my turtle loves it, it's such an upgrade from the small green one i had. the one with the fake grass haha. this product is awesome, normans a huge fan, and i trust it 100 percent that he cant get hurt or get loose from his new basking area. it has quite a bit of space too so i plan to use this for a very long time, im even thinking about adding plants and rocks in there. norman (my turtle) even walks around it, the plastic half of it makes it so he's able to perch his little head up and see whatever he wants around him, so if youre expecting it to be closed in, it's not! i love that. it was really easy to set up, the instructions were clear. just be careful you dont accidentally break anything, it's pretty durable but i broke a small piece on accident. dont be clumsy like me haha. the only things i didnt like is this: -my turtle makes a bit of noise from his nails and his tummy from walking on it. but it's no problem, i would buy this product 1000x again! if you are expecting it to be silent, you might want to put a material on top that is quieter. -i wish the stairs were slanted differently because my turtle just slides down them like a slide and im not sure if he wants to go down that fast haha. It seems that I'm the only one Japanese person who write a review. This is my second time to buy the product and I'm aware the following three changes from the previous one which I bought several years ago. 1) color of the body is changed to black, 2) the material of the cover is changed to transparent from semi-transparent, 3) docking ramp is firmly fixed to the floor. I very much appreciate the 3), because it was what I wanted to be improved. This is the only one and the best product for my turtle which I could find in the world. These are perfect for aquariums that are 18 inches + I have a 75 gallon tank for my aquatic turtles and have the topper yet it didn’t fit so when I saw these extensions it was perfect they holds really well on the tank didn’t even have to use screws and now my turtle babies climb up and splash down all day long beat invention yet. Now if they could make one for the thrive basking loft that would be great too ... show more

I purchased this for a friend that has 4 turtles. The above the tank platform works great when you have a smaller tank and cannot put a basking platform in it. I really recommend above-water basking docks. Some added benefits I saw in my turtle are more room to swim, a bigger area to bask in, a "window" to the outside, and more comfort to me! I have been using this product about a year now, and I really like it. This product specifically I find way overpriced, but it is really the only one on the market as far as above water basking docks go. I have now bought two, and let me tell you, it is a pain to assemble! Don't even bother with the little swing at the bottom of it. It fell off for me and my turtles were too heavy for it anyway. Also, there is a learning curve with your turtles on climbing it. I find it is too steep and you have to raise the water level very high for them to get up. Because of the added water level of this product, both of my turtles, in 2 separate tanks, have both escaped once each. This was never an issue before I got this product. So, please learn from my mistake and make sure you cover the top if you're adding to the water level!!! Thankfully, my turtles were both safe but it was very very scary. But, I probably will never stop using this product unless it falls apart or something better comes on the market because I ADORE how cute my turtles look when they're looking over the side at you while basking. I found my turtles are a lot more comfortable when I take them out the tanks, and I really think they enjoy looking around the room when they're at the top of their basking platform looking out the clear plastic. Again, I wish the ramp wasn't as steep and it wasn't so costly, but I do think this is better than a lot of the in-tank basking platforms. I have used a lot of in-tank basking platforms and this one has stayed the longest. My turtles have outgrown all the floating ones because of their weight, and this one is very supportive and spacious I find. I don't think this is a forever-basking platform but I think this is the best one on the market and if I ever decide to upgrade I'll just have to build one myself. That being said, if I ever got another tank I would most likely get another one of these. Above-ground basking platforms gave my turtles a safe and sturdy way to explore the world (definitely don't let them explore out the tank like mine tried to tho!!!! For real, get a good lid!!!!!). If are able to, I definitely recommend building one instead but please make sure it is sturdy. Better safe than sorry, always! Even if it means buying a $50 piece of plastic. (But hey, plastic is super easy to clean!) ... show more

I wish I bought it sooner. I kept reading that it wasn't great for musk turtles because they aren't big baskers. I went for it and I'm glad I did. We thought we were going to have to get him a whole new set up but just popped this on top of his existing tank and it freed up so much space. He often just hangs out on the deck half in the water but he is very happy. He also likes to swim in the shade and hang out on the dock under the basking dock. Really glad we purchased. Because the lights shine onto the dock, we are getting way less algae in the tank too so easier tank cleanings! ... show more
