I bought a pair of the identical amplifiers, same brand, same seller, two and a half years ago. They are still working perfectly. Worn every day, about 14 hours per day, for two and a half years. I just got this pair to wear daily and will use the old ones as backups. I wrote a review of these when I got them two and a half years ago. Here is what I said. It applies to the new pair also. I've been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years. In the past have gotten the low end and also the higher priced aids. I just bought two of the BLJ Hearing Amplifiers. They are a true bargain at the price I paid. I have had a moderate hearing loss since I was a child. I've used many pairs of fitted hearing aids over the years and have paid a small fortune. .The sound on these is as clear a bell. No distortion. These are great for people with a moderate hearing loss.

I tried many different hearing aids on Amazon but these are the best for me. Very good volume, little feedback, small. The only two things that could be improved are: 1. Chargeable (currently they use batteries) 2. The volume button is hard to press. Otherwise, they work great for me.

I am a dive boat captain in the Caribbean, and was finding it difficult to follow guests conversations, and whilst I had expensive hearing aids for social and evening use, I could not use them whilst working as they would stop working when they got wet, from either spray or sweat. I was recommended these amplifiers by another captain, and although I did not think something so cheap would be any good I bought a pair. However they have proved to be excellent, I can now follow most conversations with ease, and they have proved to be very reliable and resistant to spray and sweat. They did take a little time to get used to, and yes they do whistle a bit, but it can be managed, and is a small price to pay to be able to hear so well. I have also had issues with the battery compartment breaking off, but they can still be used. Also the customer service has been excellent so far and are sending out replacement battery compartments to me. So they are not perfect but for the price they are remarkable and good value.

The door that holds the battery in place come off and the battery gets stuck inside. Then you can't change the battery and the unit stops working. I have gone through 2 pairs in 2 years. The last one I bought the battery door broke after 3 months. When working it is a good fit. Good sound, easy to change volume level.

I contacted amazon requesting seller to message me. The little ball at the end of the plastic pull broke and this item has a one year warranty. I just purchased in November. I have purchased other hearing aids and that never broke. Had other amplifiers for more than 2 years. This got stuck in my ear and I had a hard time getting it out. I hope this gets the sellers attention and they contact me.

Purchased this hearing amplifier in April of 2021 and loved the product. In February of 2022 the device started shutting off after a few seconds. I notified the BLJ company and told them my problem. I returned the old hearing aid and they shipped me a new one even before receiving the old one. Love this hearing device and the customer service even more. I knew my hearing was getting bad, but WOW what a difference. Renee R.

I have pretty significant hearing loss and have been using this while awaiting my hearing aid order. For $95, I can't complain. The hearing aid amplified sound and at least allowed me to have conversations with people. The quality of the sound is not good, however. I've found it impossible to dial in a good program/ volume setting that allows watching tv and talking to people. There's distortion. Also, don't expect the quality to sound like your favorite headphones. The sound is tinny and reminds me of the days of AM radios. However, it does its core function at a reasonable price, thus my 4-star rating.
