It works very well. The sides are pretty high, so if you use it with a bunny hutch (other than the one it was designed for) you may have to lift the hutch a bit with risers to open the doors freely. But it's very compact and works great so far.

Took a while to put together, but it works well for quails. The partition in the middle is helpful for introducing new members of the flock or isolating injured birds. They love to go between the two houses. We have hawks and eagles in the area- one even took to landing on the cage and resting. But it didn’t get inside so that’s a huge positive in the pro column. My lab was able to nose open the side latch, so be sure to get sip ties or a lock for your doors. The rest is relatively secure though, especially being a bit raised off the ground. We ended up doing a deep litter set up, so I can’t speak to the ease of cleaning it but I would imagine hosing it down is easy. Also, the wheels make it easy to move the flock into the sun or to a new area of the yard etc. Love the way it looks, very cute and not like a commercial brooder etc. Great size for 4 adult Coturnix Quails. ... show more

It’s pretty, long, large enough for two rabbits, and matches my house. That’s what is good. It’s not going to last long. The wood is soft and weak. Although I have plenty of toys and chew toys, the rabbits chew it, so I had to reinforce the hutch with chicken wire. The wheels don’t stay well so I had to glue them in, and reinforce the wheel insertion sits with glue and gorilla tape. I don’t recommend this hutch for these reasons. ... show more

I edited my review. I still like the hutch, but it has started leaking at the left front corner. I have started using large pp pads in the cage and under the cage, on top of a large plastic floor protector like you put under a desk chair. My rabbit is eating the hutch wood despite giving her hay and sticks to chew. It's pretty easy to clean if you keep up with the cleaning. The design is good.
