We have been using this product for more than half a year and have nothing but really good things to say for it, if you keep chickens as we do. (We keep 50 here in a 17'x42' coup on a 6" rebar and concrete slab.) We use the usual straw bales from our local feed store. But we do experience a lot of rain and moisture and are finding this material to be an important part of what we do here. We will continue to purchase the product from this supplier or another that can produce a similar product. It's a valuable addition. If you have fewer chickens or a smaller environment to deal with, I'd have no question at all. It's GREAT! Just do it! It is only when you are in the size range we are in, or larger, where cost factors become more of an issue to consider. But this truly is a great product if you are dealing with areas of moisture, for example. It is great, generally, too. So don't get me wrong about that. But especially when moisture problems crop up, this is a great product to try out to see how it works for you. I have nothing but good things to say about the supplier. We've received the product in reasonable time and we consider the price to be acceptable, as well. So I am very happy they are there and helping us out. I know it isn't easy for what they do, either. Hemp is a great bedding product, but the photos make the packages appear much larger than they really are. I should have paid more attention to the size part of the description. Sellers should really include something in the photo that shows the true size of packages. Overall a great product...just way too much money for what you get. ... show more

Low/No dust as advertised. Boys absolutely love digging in it and will hide some of their spoils in the bedding. They also loved it so much they redecorated their dig box jist to mix in the bedding. I was able to put a good amount about an inch at least thick and have plenty left over for at 1 to 2 more times. I've included the post remodel of the dig box photos, sorry no before photos. I was shocked to see how small the packages are, disappointed that the pictures were so mis leading. However there is a lot of product packed tightly into each package but not enough to use in each nesting box for my chickens. The hemp is like a bag of sticks, not soft and non of my hens like it. For the price I’m not entirely sure it’s worth it. The bag is much smaller than I thought so If you have a big 55 gallon tank with mice like me, one bag won’t be close to enough. Thankfully I mix this with my shavings and it seems to work. It’s not very dusty, so it’s perfect for the smaller animals. ... show more
