The product itself was great and I was able to find the perfect match for my skin tone. Product applies easy and create the right amount of coverage for those who prefer a lighter makeup look. The product has a matte finish and can be drying so I apply with a moisturizer. My only negative comment is the product has a HORRIBLE smell! But it doesn’t bother me enough to stop using it.

It can be used without moisturizer. The tint is great. I do however add little bit of moisturizer if I want to make the tint lighter after applying it. I have dry and bit sensitive skin. This product worked great on my skin. It's bit expensive but I think it's worth buying. I need few pumps per my face shape. This is my 2nd time buying this product

I’m 42 and was looking for something that helped reduce the redness in my face but still let my natural look shine through. I have mature skin and I want to stop using foundation. I put this on and fell in love. It evened out my skin tone and gave me a healthy glow that looked flawless. Plumped up my skin as well making wrinkles look less noticeable. Definitely go a shade lighter then you think as it does darken once it sets. But sadly I have to return it. For me it caused break outs. Which is something rare for me, I honestly rarely ever even get one zit. At the end of the day when using this I have 5-8 tiny zits on my lower part of my face and it’s all bumpy. They go away quickly with my skin care routine but still. They happened. I used it once and saw that and took a break. Once it was cleared up I tried again and same thing. I get them the same day I’m using this serum so it’s clearly the serum for me. I did a little google search and found this happens to some but not for others. I used all the products listed in this in other things and never had an issue. I recommend trying it and seeing if it works for you. I wish it didn’t make me breakout because I would be using it daily. It does have a mild scent. Honestly, you don’t notice it after it’s applied but it’s there. It’s not gross but also not pleasant. So if that’s going to bother you then now you know.

I’m a big fan of this Ilia foundation. It is very light weight, has a consistency slightly thicker then water, goes on beautifully, provides full coverage, is buildable and has SPF! Can’t as for more then that in a foundation!

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the smell--hard to describe but not pleasant. It looks and feels great on my skin though, with a slightly dewy finish that is great for mature skin like mine but may not be a plus for those with oilier skin. It's pretty much undetectable on my skin apart from the fact that my skin looks better. I bought the shade oro. I thought it may be too dark, but it's not at all. The coverage is surprisingly good for a serum foundation. The fact that it's SPF 40 was a huge selling point for me. I should add that I had my husband do a sniff test on my face once I'd applied the foundation and he didn't notice a bad smell. I guess it dissipates when out of the bottle. I will definitely buy this again. I would give it 5 stars if not for the smell.
