  • Awesome
They worked great.

  • For more than only the pool blaster!
Hi! I do use these bags with my max li pool blaster filter to get even the finer silt that collects occasionally on the bottom of my pool. I live in Hawaii near Hilo in an area that is much like a rain forest. Most of us out here obtain our water supply from a catchment tank that stores the water coming off our rain gutters. I use these things called "leaf eaters" on the downspouts. They remove all the leaves from the nearby trees that have landed on the roof, but allow the water to go through to the catchment tank. The catchment tank inlet pipe is 3 inch PVC. Inside the catchment tank I place one of these filter bags at the 3 inch opening to filter the finer silt from the rooftop. I fasten them with a 3 inch round clamp. They fit perfectly! It works great! Then of course I have a whole house filter system beyond the pump that includes a sediment, carbon and UV filter before coming into the house. My house water has no chlorine in it and is cleaner than city water! ... show more

  • I like them because they are before the filter and pump ...
Yeah, these work well. I put two into (not outside) my strainer basket and they collected what amounted to a paste of yellow algae. When I vacuumed, and backwashed, sand filter, some particles always blew back in even with a sand filter. Overnight it really collected the algae and this was after I had vacuumed earlier in the day and also collected gunk from the night's pump cycle before and washed the filter bags out for reuse. Two bags make it hard to get the basket out with pump off but it is doable. Filters are washable/reusable. I like them because they are before the filter and pump so very fine particulates are getting caught before and not after the water comes back into the pool; I like keeping algae out of the sand filter as much as possible so it does not grow there. Backwashing my sand filter, now nothing comes back into the pool (no little cloud of what looks like dust), Now, clear water and no fine film of algae on the pool liner bottom. These are like nylon socks inside strainer basket, and they snap over the top of the basket. Easy! ... show more

  • Overpriced pant stockings?
Okay, these things work great, but I must say they strongly resemble ladies pant stockings which might be an inexpensive way to achieve the same end. The nice part is that the finer knit bags make it much easier to clean the silty stuff off the bottom of the pool when used together with the more open mesh bag that comes with the Volt. And that bag stays clean. The liners are easy to rinse out and pick up more stuff and the pool gets cleaner faster, so all in all I think they're great ! (But I do wonder if I could use a ladies pant stocking once these die.) ... show more

  • Sturdy bag that falls a little short
These bags are good quality and sturdy. They did a great job of filtering small debris, but they came up short on the "micro filtering" of very small particles that kept the pool cloudy. In the end, we switched pool vacuums to a bag-less model that ties in to the filtering system to finally get the water clear. ... show more

  • Finally, I can vacuum up the finest debris!
The filter bag that comes with the Pool Blaster Water Tech Max Li (the "Extreme Multi-Layer Filter Bag") is almost useless except for large debris. If you want to vacuum up the small/fine particles, you'll need to buy a better one. I bought the "Sand & Silt Filter Bag" which was a big improvement, but to really get the finest debris out of my pool, I add this "Micro Filter Bag" as a liner inside the Sand & Silt filter bag. This combination works great! ... show more

  • THEY WORK! The silt/fine dirt is finally gone!
We have a small 10' x 30" pool. It has a filter/pump but not the greatest. We use a net for the larger debris, and purchased a vacuum that attaches to our hose for the bottom. We noticed very fine dirt/silt started settling at the bottom of our pool. I'd use our vacuum and it "looked" like it was getting the silt, but an hour later it was all settled right back at the bottom again. It was going right through the vacuum filter bags. NOT ANYMORE! Purchased these new bags and gave it a go. It sucked up and held all the silt I'd been trying to get for a month. Just wish I had purchased these months ago, as its already September. But so glad I have them for next summer. ... show more
