Definitely not what's in the picture. To me the fabric of the item in the photo would be like a good quality furniture pad moving blanket something like that what you would receive is about 1/8 or 1/10 of an inch thick and it is felt. But in reality it will do exactly what it's advertised to do and that's the only discrepancy with item. I'm pretty sure if you read somewhere in the description it will tell you it is felt I just looked at the picture and assume that's what I was getting. That's my fault ... show more

There seems to be a mystery about what this product really is. It’s been called “Soft, cushioning, thick, felt-like, padding…”. It is simply a cut-to-size, nicely seamed piece of extra thick landscape fabric. The fabric is marked with which side to put down so that the seam is less intrusive. It is convenient to use, and I feel that it will keep weeds from coming through. I laid it all the way to the fence where I have plants and used it for landscape fabric around those plants. It was difficult to put metal pins in it to hold it down. That’s how tough it is! I can’t say how this is compared to other pool pads, but I like it and I’m glad I bought it. ... show more

I replaced the 24' liner by myself. I don't recommend that, lol. The mat was easy to lay down and fit well. after the job was done, I felt like it gives a little more protection for the liner especially when you have 11 grandkids jumping in all summer. I think is a good thing to use since none of us want to change the liner because of holes. ... show more
