Not as thick as I expected, but it's quite durable and did provide a softer footing under the pool lining. It's been installed for a few months. I left a foot of the pad exposed all the way round the pool and it works great to keep grass and weeds from growing around the pool edges. I just love this product. It's thick, holds up well (no decay or shrinkage). We just replaced our pool and bought a new one to lay on top of the old one (bigger pool). This product is great for anyone with above ground pool.
