  • GREAT Adjustable Seated Dip Machine!
Style: Seated Press-Up Down
Regardless of VEVOR'S name for their machine, it is a "SEATED DIP MACHINE" and it works great. The steel is heavy gauge with strong and solid welds. Workmanship was to standard with quality fit and finish. Nothing was missing and there were no dents or scratches. All parts were individually packaged. The product came with a written instruction manual which I appreciate as I hate having to go online to get instructions. It also came with the basic tools to assemble it, BUT I recommend using an Adjustable wrench and/or a socket set as it will greatly speed the assembly. I assembled it my self with no help and did not use any power tools. It took me about 2 hours to assemble it and tighten all the bolts. A note on the instructions. At first, it looks intimidating because there are no sentences or paragraphs explaining how any of the parts should be put together. However, if you study the instruction book, you will observe that that there are a series of diagrams that show where each part goes, and all the parts, bolts, washers and nuts are labeled. So, you do not have to guess. As long as you take your time, assembly will be smooth, concise and organized. I am not a "handy-person". (I once took a 10 speed bicycle apart and could not get it back together). With this machine and following their instructions, every part went where it was supposed to go the first time. I did not have to re-do anything. Here are a couple of assembly and use tips: First, when assembling the base, if you find one side is not level after attaching with the bolts, washers and nuts, simply untighten the nut on that side 1 quarter turn. If you are 6 feet or taller, you may find that the chain for the curl bar is too short as I did. You can easily fix this by simply adding an additional one or two steel Safety Spring Hooks of fasteners. You can buy them on Amazon or at the local hardware store for a few bucks. (The ones I bought on Amazon hold up to 880 pounds and were a few dollars for a package of 6). The best part of the machine is the dip station. The seat is adjustable allowing you to get the best seating position to get maximum stretch. I am 6'1" and it works great for me. Also, the handles are exceptional. They can be flipped outwardly allowing you to really stretch your outer pecs for a good burn and pump. Pushed inward and the handles allow you to stretch and really work your triceps as good, even better, than the triceps pushdown using a lat bar machine. This Seated Dip Machine allows you to really isolate your triceps when your work them. Additionally, you can also just grip the handlebars (and not the handles) when doing the dipping motion to work the center pecs as well as the outer pecs. This Seated Dip Machine is great for doing HIT weight training. I find that the seated dip station on this machine works as well as the ones at the commercial gym. I put 150 pounds (75 pounds on each side) and it easily handled that and the dipping operation was smooth through the range of motion. As you stack weight plates on the machine, you may find that the plates interfere with the smooth range of movement. If so, you can slide two barbell collars (one on each side) onto the weight arm first, and then add your pates. This gives the plates a little extra clearance and allows for a smooth dipping operation for the full range of motion. The machine comes with Olympic Weight holders or adapters that slide over the arm that holds the weight plates. Since I already had over 550 pounds of cast iron weight plates with the 1" diameter holes, I did not use the adapters. In that case, you just load the weight plates directly onto the arms. The reason I bought this machine was entirely for its dipping station and it is without a doubt a 5-Star product and weight lifting experience. I saw the Curling Station as a bonus, and to that end, it is of marginal use. Now this could be because I am 6' and 1" in height but even with the extra links of chain, the curling movement is awkward at best. I don't get a full range of motion not due to the chain length but the bar's movement itself makes the curling awkward. For me, I found using a one arm curling handle (bought separately) attached to the chain provided a better range of motion. I would rate the Curling Station due to its lack of range of motion and awkwardness to be of adequate use and give it a 3-Star. In spite of this, this Seated Dip Machine excels in its dipping function. It was well designed and has a weight lifting capacity of 440 pounds. Further, the seat is very comfortable and of high quality materials. The seat back is comfortable, yet firm, and the quality is excellent. I would buy the VEVOR Seated Dip Machine again and I Highly Recommend it. 5-STARS--A+ ... show more

  • Good Value for Your Money
Style: Seated Press-Up Down
I was looking for a reasonably priced triceps machine for my home gym. Being somewhat older, I didn’t want it so heavy that I couldn’t move it by myself. This one stated it weighed 58 lbs. Since I was also limited for space, I wanted it to have a small footprint. Lastly, I wanted it to be reasonably priced. This one seemed to fit the bill, but the proof would be in the pudding so to speak. The machine arrived nicely packaged without a scratch on it. The steel seemed thick, sturdy, and powder coated giving it a rugged feel. The organization of the packaging made it easy to put together. I would suggest having a helper, it’s just easier that way. Everything you needed to put it together was right there in the package. The overall weight seemed to match that which was stated. Another reason I bought this machine was that the handles and poles were made out of steel, not plastic. It took me about an hour to put it together. Things I liked/loved about the machine. I thought the machine was an excellent value for the price. It is well made, rugged, and durable. The foam padding on the seat and back was excellent. The lever action of the press is very smooth as long as you don’t overtighten the bolt. There are plenty of height adjustments for the seat to assure a comfortable workout. The handles do flip to where you can do a chest press if you so desire. I also love the fact that you can use 1 or 2” weights if needed, clamps are included. I found that this machine was exactly what I was looking for. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite machines. Things I didn’t like about the machine. The seat does wobble a little but once I'm locked in and exercising, it doesn't. I don’t use the curling function of the machine but if I did, I would use my own bar. The bar provided is of good quality, but it doesn’t pivot as you progress through the curl. It’s a good thought but the bar needs to be able to pivot to be effective. Also, not sure about the curling action. For me, this was not an issue seeing how that is not the reason why I bought the machine. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, and it is doing exactly what I bought it for. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced machine to add to your triceps workout, then I would recommend you give this one a try. ... show more

  • Do not recommend. Do dips instead
Style: Seated Press-Up Down
The idea behind this piece of equipment is great. Just, don’t expect to be able to do the same exercise you do with the machine at the gym. This one feels way different, as if you’re not working the triceps. And let’s not talk about chest. It’s very wide for that purpose. Again, not a gym quality piece of equipment. Is it good for the price? Maybe. I just don’t recommend it. If you have a way to do dips, that’s a better exercise. ... show more

  • Great piece of equipment for your home gym
Style: Seated Press-Up Down
It’s a great equipment, I wish the back was adjusteable so you could have more angles for chest and I wish the handles were not quite so far spread with it in chest position, but overall I really like it and have gotten good results, I would buy it again

  • Tricep Machine - As a Lifter
Style: Seated Press-Up Down
Awesome tricep/chest machine. I'm 6'3" and 280 lbs. A lifter who's been lifting for 27 years so it's hard for me to find anything to develop muscle soreness anymore (DOMS). I bench 140 lb dumbbells for reps and incline 100s. This thing absolutely destroyed my lower chest and triceps. Would recommend. This was also extremely easy on my left shoulder which has some tendonitis. ... show more
