I thought this adapter was a great idea that I would probably never need. But I was really happy to have it when I went to my regular charging location only to find that their J1772 charging station is no longer working. My greatest concern was that this adapter would possibly cause my car to charge at a slower rate, but this wasn't the case. This adapter fit perfectly onto the Tesla charger, and allowed me to charge my J1772 EV just as quickly as if it wasn't using an adapter. And it fits easily into my glove box for easy storage. This adapter was a perfect fit to both the Tesla charger as well as to my J1772 socket. It is made of durable plastic material that I feel confident will last for years. It snugly connects with a push and stays connected until released by pushing a button. This is a must have accessory for EV/Hybrid owners who do not have a Tesla. I am very pleased with and highly recommend this adapter.

This adapter has a nice quality feel to it, works as expected. I saw a CE certification but no UL listing. I only expect to use it in rare occasions but it will be nice to have in my car in case I need it (if I find a location with only Tesla destination chargers available), and either no J1772 or all in use.

I finally tried out this adapter. I plugged the Tesla plug into the adapter and plugged it into my BMW. It started right up. I had another brand of adapter that I had to wait 30 seconds before plugging it into the car, but I didn't have to wait for this one. It started charging right away. At this particular Tesla Destination station, I was getting 4 amps, but I could've probably gotten 5 or 6 at another station.

I was able to use a Tesla Wall Charger at home 240v (48A) to charge an Audi with this. Works great. It was neither too tight or loose. Great fitment on both the Tesla charger side and at the car side. The whole devices feels of quality. It's not cheap or flimsy. What I found interesting is that this is identical in packaging and the instructions are identical to the Mirozo brand that is also offered. There some cosmetic difference, but it's minor. It might be worth cross shopping to see who has the better price between the two.

Heavyweight adapter appears well built and feels like quality. I honestly have not tried it out as I don't have access to a Tesla charger but wanted this in the event I was in a pinch with only a Tesla charger available. I will update this review If I use this adapter and it falls short of the current ratings.

This EV car charge adapter allows you to take advantage of Tesla chargers without a Tesla charge p;ort (i.e., if you have a J1772). It is well made and durable, made of very heavy plastic and metal construction. It plugs onto the Tesla charger connector and gives you a J1772 end that then fits into your car’s charge port. It opens up the use of Tesla chargers in addition to the chargers that you are using now. It has already been useful and now I don’t need to pass up any charger. Highly recommended and a nice boost for the future (some recent articles state that the Tesla charger port will be the standard in the future, we’ll see).
