This ceiling fan is so beautiful, it looks like it costs at least double what I paid. I'm so thrilled I chose this to replace a really ugly dark brown fan (with dated, tulip shaped sconces) that I had for too long! It works beautifully, and I love the backlight that shines at the top. My only complaint is that the tone and intensity of the main light needs to be set when it's installed, and although we chose the setting for the warmest light, and it's not very warm at all. I wasn't relying on this fixture for lighting, however, so I only turn it on when I briefly need some bright light.

Fan was easy to install, and isn't too heavy. I've set it up in a bedroom and it made a huge difference both for hot summer days, and with dispersing heat (using the reversed setting) in winter. I've had it for ~6 months and it's held up well to daily use, my electric bill has barely moved, and if anything I've saved on using less heat and AC. It's very quiet too, I don't hear any noise from the motor at all. The blades are plastic, but they look better at a distance than they do close up.

With 8' ceilings you don't have many choices when it comes to ceiling fans. Most hang too low. If you've been to home improvement stores you know they don't carry more than 1 or 2 that hang less than 15 inches from the ceiling. This is one of the nicer, more modern looking ceiling fans. The instructions are easy to follow - easy to assemble and easy to connect wiring and hang. No matter what your room size is, when you look up what size the fan should be, it'll always show a size range. I purchased on the larger end of the spectrum but it looked gigantic after it was assembled! I thought I'm made a huge mistake. I'm glad I didn't send it back because now that it's up it perfect!! Anything smaller wouldn't move enough air on low to make a difference in the room. I know this because I have smaller fans in my smaller bedrooms, the type that have fan blades in the center of the light fixture. They're pretty but they don't have the span of air movement. Anyway - I highly recommend this fan for rooms that only have a 8' ceiling. 5 Stars!

I recently bought this for our front room that gets a little stuffy in the summer. It was easy to install, and it works amazing! We got the white fan, and it blends in with our ceiling, so it isn't very noticeable. The light works very well, and has two or three different color temps (I like the warm white). Also, when the light isn't on, it actually just looks like there isn't a light fixture, which I really like since that is usually the part of a ceiling fan that makes it look a little gaudy. The fan moves the air really well, and the motor is silent. It comes with a remote control. We put some command strip velcro on the back of it so that it is attached to the wall near the light switch. Love this fan so far! Would definitely buy another one!

A/C doesn’t always do the trek when the Florida sun rises and sets on one side of your house. I had this installed in my living room because the sun beats in my windows and glass doors all day. Long air-conditioning alone doesn’t keep that room as cool because of the exposure. The remote offers so many options for controlling the fan as well as the light. Great deal for the price.

I bought this because it was modern looking and the reviews said easy to install. This Taloya 52” ceiling fan did not live up to the great reviews. First of all, it was not easy to install for two main reasons: 1. You have to install the blades first before hanging! 2. The “hook” you hang the canopy and motor with blades isn’t a hook shape, it’s an L shape so the big canopy can easily slip off with one wrong movement. So you really need to wire the remote first, not wire it to the motor (plug in) then try to wire it to the ceiling as the directions tell you and at the same time pray the canopy doesn’t fall off the L hook. The directions aren’t clear, but if you’ve hung fans before you can figure out the best way to go about it. Also, to attach the canopy to the mounting bracket you have to loosen the screws to the ceiling because the screws on the canopy won’t fit into the mounting bracket because it’s too close to the ceiling. Then the fan shakes when it’s on so you have to slip folded cardboard into the space between the mounting bracket and ceiling. The fan and blades look cheap. The blades are obviously plastic and the light on the fan is small and toylike, although it’s bright. Seeing this in person I think it was overpriced even on sale at $88. It should be maybe $40. Also, I have to get right under the fan for the remote to work.
