I bought 2 units one for the front entrance the second for the back door. I was very pleased to find that once the front door was set up that I could copy the settings to the back door unit without going through all the setup steps. A little install tip" If you have a soft padded wood gluing clamp use it to hold the front half of the lock set and the back half backing plate in place while you use a thin metal probe on the inside 3 holes to center up the holes for the mounting screws. WARNING only tight enough to hold it in place and allowing slight alignment movement of the plate. Also test fit the mounting screws before installing. My second lock needed the threads chased out with a tap to allow the screws to go all the way in. Very nice looking and works well. Wife is pleased that is all that matters. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This Fingerprint, Bluetooth, Keyless, & Biometric Smart Lock is amazing right out of the box. First of all, is so well-made and appears to be very durable to last a long time. The functions and features really blew my mind and exceeded all my expectations as to their reliability, performance, and ease of use. Installing and setting up this Smart Door Lock is very easy and the instructions are easy to understand. The app that goes along with the lock is also easy to use and allows for so many great functions to make this the most complete and loaded smart lock I have used to date. The ability to create custom codes and one-time use is such a great function (especially for those that may get deliveries while away, or have someone coming by to care for their pets, babysitters, and so on) that the possibilities are endless. It also would make for a great Airbnb situation. The password random digit function is such a great deterrent and safety protection against people trying to watch you put in the code from being able to come back and duplicate what they saw you do. I really love this. The fact that there are 6 possible ways to utilize this lock (Fingerprint, through the app, using a standard mechanical key, passcodes, ID Cards, and remote when you purchase the Gateway device (that is not included) really impressed me. The other thing I like is that keeps a log of when the door was opened, how it was opened, and by whom. This Smart Lock is totally amazing and worth every penny. The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a smart lock to use for my garage entry door, so I compared and read the reviews on plenty before making this purchase. I watched the video and it looked super easy to install. When it arrived and I took all the pieces out of the box, I thought to myself “hmm, maybe I bit off more than I could chew”, which in fact was NOT the case. The step by step guide was super easy to follow. I have a newer home and everything fit easy and did not cause any hang ups during the installation process, it took maybe 20 minutes for me to install and link to the app. So the process is super easy and I truly appreciate that like nobody’s business. I’ve only had it for one day, so hopefully nothing will change with the ease of use in the near future. My only current concern is the actual handle, I’ve tighten both sides and it still seems to be a little lose, which I’m hoping it won’t require continued tightening with continued use; more to follow if need be. At this time I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a smart lock to add to your home. ... show more

    • Great look, Easy Install
Appearance: I was so excited to receive this item and install it to finish up my game room look I was going for. I chose the gold look and upon review of the components, they were all good, no scratches or dents of any kind. The items felt good in the hand and not as if they were completely cheaply made. The handles had some weight to them. All in all I couldn’t wait for the install. Installation: I remembered there was a video of the installation of this product before I purchased it and that’s what I went off of. Made things super quick and simple and easy to follow. The one thing I’d recommend that should be mentioned in showed in the video is regarding the placement of the wired connection on the inner side as you connect the inner and outer pieces together. In the video it isn’t clear enough of how it’s placed and caused a minor hiccup in the installation as I had to find a place to put the connection to be able to push the inner piece to the mount to screw the outer piece in place. For me the rest of the process went smooth. I have 2 small concerned complaints: first is the door handles are tightened in place by a very small screw with a provided Allen wrench. We’ll see how well the screw holds up. Second: the cap covering the keyed access isn’t held on or tied on by anything so once the piece is removed it’s up to the user to put the piece back. In other words I feel it can be lost easily. In a way, it’s very easy to take them off and switch to other side if needed. After charging some batteries, installing the fully charged batteries, downloading the phone app (on iPhone 13 Pro), following the video to connect my locking device to the app was very simple and easy. I also tried the many other options (using keyed in codes on the keypad, fingerprints, included rf cards, and keys). Everything worked and went smooth. Tried the fingerprints the next day and all is well. This unit does speak (unlocked, locked, battery low, using keypad…and such). Not sure if this feature can be turned off but I like it so it stays on for me. Will update review if anything worthy to report. Overall Price: I feel the price may be a bit too high but according to other similar locking devices and the technology used, it’s acceptable. ... show more

    • Doesn’t retain fingerprints
I purchased two of these. One for our dock structure and one for our entry door from garage to our home. Overall, very satisfied with use when entering codes. However, have difficulty with both units retaining fingerprints. Have reset and tried again on both without success.
