I have been examined by an Audiologist, and by a technician at a big box wholesale club hearing center. In both cases, I was fitted with the over the ear hearing aids. In both cases, there was little to no adjustment that could be done by the user. That is no the case with the Sony CRE-C20 hearing aids, they truly are self fitting. First of all, they are virtually invisible. The hearing test the Sony app gives you is extensive, and it really does help. My loss is mainly in my left ear, Phonak and Jabra didn't give the option to adjust the volume on their ap, only by the technician during a "fitting". The Sony app lets you make all those adjustments, and has a great number of possible fixes for whatever situations or sounds you are having trouble hearing. Is it AI? Not sure, but in the app there is questions as to what you're having trouble with, and then it offers multiple solutions. This is a great product, I truly believe that hearing aids for those with moderate to mild hearing loss have been a racket for years. I tested a pair of hearing aids a few years ago from an audiologist, they were fine, but not better than the $1500 I paid for a pair at Costco. The ones from the audiologist were $5600, and I was told the technology would be out of date in 2-3 years. The functionality of the Sony Hearing aids is incredible, the cost is just silly. Buy these.

I received the hearing aid a few days ago, having ordered it for delivery to South Africa on Amazon USA. So far it works fine, but I couldn't download the App to be able to control the volume. It appears that the App is only available for USA. I will live with it this way as the cost of buying a hearing aid from an audiologist would cost 3 or 4 times as much.

These things suck. Every time you're in a new situation you have to spend 20 minutes readjusting them to get any semblance of quality out of what you're hearing. The app sucks you should have the ability to change different situations with saved settings for different situations, like outdoors, indoors, watching tv, but you don't. As far as noise canceling, forget it. Everything is amplified I drive a truck everything is amplified the sound of the truck and voices. IT doesn't make anything better it just makes everything louder. I did not buy these off Amazon I bought them from somewhere else but they still suck

Very satisfactory. No significant problems. My only issue is that it's difficult to fit the earpieces into the charger. It has to be exactly right, and sometimes requires multiple attempts to align properly. The earpieces work very, very well.

These hearing aids are wonderful! By replacing the silicone cover with a smaller size, I solved the fitting problem (it felt like they might fall out). That was the only issue. Different size covers are provided so there was no extra expense.

They work but have three major problems. They are big and obvious not cic. They fall out alot. Lose one and you must buy two. Worst of all the operating system on your phone to control the volume constantly needs to reboot needing manual input of your username, the password then you have to open your email and input a user code all just to adjust the volume. It happens very frequently, is time consuming and is most annoying. Would not buy again.
