Today was the last straw...yet again, sent the piece of junk off to mop my family room. Surprise, surprise...it mopped the outer edge of 2 walls....then it said mission complete...and went back to base. Absolutely, POSITIVELY the biggest regret of any product I ever bought....a $700 MISTAKE!!! I buried the abomination deep, deep in my trash can, with mixed emotions... anger, disappointment, robbed and pure joy to be rid of this amateur garbage, never to deal with it again!. But there is a bright spot ...the Dreame X40 is $400 off right now...and mine arrives tomorrow. Finally, I will have an intelligent product to work for me ...instead of me constantly having to work to get the Shark garbage to work. Goodbye SHARK, thanks for 6 months of aggrevation dealing with your under developed, overpriced, unreliable half a vacuum! Oh my God...I have to update my review to warn you that this is biggest, most expensive worthless piece of junk you will ever buy!! PLEASE, save yourself, do not go down this path, I assure you, it will be a HUGE regret!!!! Wish I didn't buy it! If you are in the market for a first time robo vacuum...stay away from this one. Got it on sale at Christmas and been using it regularly for months. It constantly gets stuck in the simplest of situations. Incredible how this little robot works. We named her Rosie after the maid in the Jetsons cartoon. Smart & efficient. She does require a little bit of training for the unitarian setup. Mapping your Floorplan takes some effort. But when it is set, you will enjoy beautiful, clean and shiny floors. It knows not to mop in carpeted areas and will clean room specific areas when instructed to do so. Makes Roombas look mentally challenged. I can say that because we own two of those. They do an ok job but do not compare. The Shark is pricey but worth every penny. My wife is overjoyed with our new maid! And therefore, my life is better too because she is happy and I walk on immaculate floors. ... show more

    • Horrible Product - Return it if you have ANY issues, it does NOT get better.

I am very disappointed with this product. The mop pad never disengages on its own, so if you do a mop / vacuum action then you must manually go and remove the mop pad. Whenever it is done mopping, it will take hours to dry and often get stuck and not continue to the vacuum action until the next day. When it is vacuuming the suction is HORRIBLE, it won't even reliably pick up floating hair from my dogs. It claims to have "never stuck" technology, but my Shark from 4 years ago never was getting stuck, this one will get stuck if it lifts an inch off the ground. It often gets lost, it will not return to the dock and will literally run into a wall for hours trying to "recharge" and then it dies and you have to manually move it back. I did a few full system restarts because my last Shark vacuum was so good and I felt this one would eventually work. Ultimately I got outside of my return window and it's been downhill since. If you buy this and have ANY issues in the return window, return it immediately, it WILL NOT get better. I've never left such a detailed horrible review on a product, but this one is absolutely deserved. ... show more

I have had this unit for less than a month and I love it but, if you do not mop frequently as in more than twice a week, Sharks mopping solution will clog all mopping components. The unit comes with a free bottle of Shark mop solution which will last you for 2 dock tank fulls, which works out to being 6 mopping sessions per tank at my house or what should be 12 weeks. When I first got the machine I had it mop every day for a week to get a deep clean, and yes it did it. But then I switched it to once a week and noticed that when the day to mop came, the mop wasn't getting wet anymore. After doing my own diagnosing, I realized that the mop solution turned into this sludge like stuff floating in my dock reservoir and in the robot reservoir, clogging its ability to release solution onto the mop. There is no way to clean the reservoir on the robot itself. So morale of the story, mop often or use just water. Ironically using any other moping solution will void the warranty, but their own solution breaks the device...lol. In the attached picture those are not scratches but slime-like things floating in the water in the reservoir. ... show more
