    • Best baitcaster I’ve ever used. Fish 150+ days a year.
I’ve had several low profile baitcasters, but this is my favorite performing yet. Super easy to adjust the spool brake by selecting settings 1 - 4. The spool tensioner is similarly easy to adjust because it doesn’t have to be as exact for each lure like with other baitcasters. I adjusted mine one time and just change the brake settings depending on how heavy/arrow dynamic a lure is. I can skip cast a weightless soft plastic on setting 4 and adjust it to 3 to cast the same lure at distance for example. You can definitely backlash this reel, but the backlashes are much more minimal than with other reels. I threw out a lure and let it hit without thumbing the spool to see the result. Most fisherman would tell You that line is done and you are cutting it off spool because it’s so backlashed if you do this. However, I easily pulled out the backlash. I also hit some tall weeds accidentally on a cast and was impressed that I was able to easily get that backlash out also. That’s game over with any other baitcaster I’ve owned. The only negative I have is that the Curado DC 150 lettering came off after about 3 uses. Like it was water color paint or something cheap. Nobody’s perfect so I give it a 5 star since I’ve never caught a fish by how cool my reel looked. ... show more

Very very quick shipping from the seller! I was shocked at how quickly I got the reel. From east coast to the mid-west/west side only took 2 days, as I said I was very shocked lol but the product came exactly how I’ve seen it as bass pro shops or other places that carry this reel. Everything works as it should and can’t wait to get out and fish with it! Smooth as butter from the practice cast I have done. If you are use to cheaper baitcasters & wanting to upgrade (if you can & this is in your budget) you can’t go wrong with this reel. It just feels so much more smooth than anything I’ve used in the past. Very happy with my purchase & will buy more in the future. One thing I will say, I’ve seen unboxings on YouTube and people usually get the reel oil with shimano gear, however I didn’t & the seller told me that they were not aware of the reel oil. So not sure on that. But I’m still giving 5 stars. On a side note - if you think the DC breaking is “backlash free” you are wrong. It does HELP with backlashes but you still need to thumb it a bit. Even with the perfect setting for your line and your spool tensioner you will still get them if your not paying attention so just keep that in mind. It’s not a fix for your blow-up backlashes but it does decrease them significantly if settings (1,2,3,4 for line / and your spool tensioner, along with conditions) are correct. Believe the hype! I used my 150 DC the first time today in a strong wind. This reel is smooth long and backlashes are almost non existent in the worst circumstances. Stop looking... buy it! Update...I now own five of these reels and I love them. Don't be an idiot and try casting with no thumbing at all. If you lightly thumb the reel it will cast better than any reel you will ever buy. DO NOT adjust the reel as it comes factory adjusted for the spool. You DO NOT need to adjust it for each bait. Just use the guide for the four settings for the types of line you use and this will be the best reel you ever owned. ... show more

    • Best reel for the money, hands down.
100% worth the money. I haven’t tried the SLX DC, which is about 80$ cheaper, but from my experience with this reel, and speaking with others with experience on both the Curado DC and the SLX DC, everyone I know has said that the Curado DC comes out on top. It is a little bit heavier than your average baitcast reel, however, even though I have small hands, it’s still very comfortable. And thankfully, it casts mono and fluoro like a dream. I’ve been leaning towards using strictly braid for my baitcasters, because I can never find the right mono or fluoro to use that isn’t stiff, but with this reel you don’t need to worry about line stiffness. I’ve casted 15 pound bass pro shops brand mono as hard as I could on setting 2, and I didn’t even get a HINT of backlash. The same line, on the Lew’s Mach II, backlashed like crazy. There’s so much more I could say about this reel, like it’s ability to skip baits without backlash, casting into the wind with ease, etc. but I’ll spare you the details. All in all, I can just about guarantee you’ll love this reel, if you choose to buy one. ... show more

Everything is great with the reel. The statistics need to be corrected. The max drag on the CUDC150HG is 11 pounds not 20 pounds.

This is my new no 1 out of 14 baitcaster reels. Just dial it in, and cast all day without fear of any nests. Definitely worth the extra money and that electronic zing when casting is addicting.
