Oh my goodness! This vacuum is amazing!! This guy picks up everything I couldn't even see and that my Bissell Power Force Helix Turbo couldn't get! I already vacuumed with it then used this Shark Stratos. The bin was full and I only vacuumed my walk in closet!! What the heck?! I routinely clean my old vacuum but this one is insanely good! My carpet FEELS clean! Huge difference! It's pretty easy to put together and use. All the buttons/levers to change how you use it are very well labeled and pretty obvious to use. It's fairly heavy HOWEVER it's really not an issue. The wheels are so incredibly smooth and on high pile setting it glides along for you. Pushing or pulling is super easy! If you don't want to pick up the entire vacuum, you have many options to configure it if you want to vacuum corners or stairs to lighten the vacuum. You can assemble it so you only have the pole to vacuum under beds or dressers. I have the AZ3002 model for reference. It's a corded upright so no need to worry about battery life. You have 3 floor settings: thick carpet/area rug cleaning, carpet/low pile carpet cleaning, and hard floor cleaning. I tried it on each different surface in my home and it's great! Suction is out of this world!! I love that it has a white light especially on hardwood to see the difference. The light also changes colors if there's an issue that needs to be addressed. No issues have been had though. It comes with an odor cartridge that makes the floor smell awesome too! You can dial it way up for max freshness or turn it off completely if smells bother you. My dog's area near his cage where he usually hangs out seems clean as I vacuum it nearly everyday. Nope! This vacuum picked up his hair I couldn't even see, the carpet visibly is lighter in color now!! It comes with 3 attachments: crevice tool, upholstery tool and the pet multi tool. There are plenty more attachments to get which I certainly will be doing! I'm floored! If you can afford this, do it! Do the payment plans, something! It's so worth it!

I wanted to give myself time to use the vacuum all around the house and on all surfaces before I gave a review and let me just say that this is probably the best vacuum I have ever owned. I have been an avid user of Dyson vacs for probably 20 years now but after my last one died after 12 years of service I decided to see what my options were. I read tons of articles and reviews looking for a versatile vacuum that would pick up the never ending dog tumbleweeds that my double coated German Shepherd Mix leaves all over my house, while also being easy to handle, not too heavy, and would empty out without me having to stick my hands in the canister (gag). This vacuum checks all those boxes. I had a professional cleaner come and do a deep clean on our new home and this vacuum picked up things that not even the cleaner got. You can instantly see surfaces cleaner after one swipe and it easily gets into every nook and cranny. The light on the front is helpful in identifying spots I missed in areas that aren't well lit and the cleaning attachment with the rotary blades makes cleaning stairs a breeze. It does the work of a much more expensive vacuum for a reasonable price tag. It is absolutely worth every penny and then some for a super clean home.

Style: PowerDetect w/ Odor Neutralizer
This is without a doubt the best vacuum I've purchased in my 50 plus years of owning and using vacuums, and I've owned quite a few different vacuums from the inexpensive to the ultra expensive. One of my favorite vacuums has been the K***y primarily for it's suction power and deep cleaning abilities, but at age 72 that vacuum was becoming way to heavy for me to handle and, with two long hair dogs, a real chore to keep the roller brush clean. So I did the logical thing (LOL) and bought and tested several Robot vacuums that claimed to be tangled free and capable of picking up long hair. Huumm... Sure they do...NOT. In all fairness the Robot vacuums do a great job on hardwood floors, but if you've got rugs or carpets and pets, forget it. I did keep two different brands of Robot Vacs, one for upstairs and one for down stairs, but I still needed to vacuum the area rugs with a conventional vacuum 3 times a week. Which brings me to the Shark PowerDetect. It works, it just plain works as advertised. Powerful when needed, swivel head works like a charm, glides over hard floors, basically self propelled across rugs and most importantly for me, picks up long dog hair without getting tangled in the brushes. Is the Shark PowerDetect perfect? Hardly...it's still on the heavy side but easier to maneuver especially on hard floors than my K***y. On carpets the darn thing can actually run away from you if you're not careful (the trick is to walk with it rather than using your arm to pull it back and forth or use a lower speed/suction, which kinda defeats the PowerDetect function). My dogs long hair does get trapped (not tangled) at the top of the dust bin rather than settling on the bottom, so I have to open both the bottom and the top dust bin trap doors, which means you will have to touch whatever you vacuumed up along with your dogs hair in order to remove it from the top of the bin. Would I recommend the Shark PowerDetect? ABSOLUTELY! My dream vacuum would be for Shark to develop a Robot Vacuum with the same dual roller system as the PowerDetect and powerful enough to vacuum carpet and rugs, picking up dog hair, self emptying (no Bags), and of course mops. Fingers crossed.

I bought this vacuum based on several review as saying it was the best. Have to agree its very good. Somebody put some thought into the design, its a modular type setup and very clever and excellent to use. I really bought this for the comment on it has an edge detect to use close to the wall, and reviews seem to agree its effective. I found well, its OK, but not as super as reviews seem to indicate. Another thing....Its heavy! Not saying thats a positive or negative, but that needs to take into account. The thing is... it is definately a beast. Works generally very good all around and is quality. Worth the money. (I got it on discount)
