  • Great vacuum
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
I love this vacuum. I replaced an 8 year old bissell vacuum with this. I have multiple furry pets, and this vacuum does excellent on both rugs and hard floor. The suction is extremely powerful, even the handheld tube. Turns smoothly. The only slight criticisms I have would be that it is a bit heavy for me to maneuver, and I wish the cord was slightly longer, but otherwise I am extremely pleased! ... show more

  • Works great!!
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
This thing works fantastic. It is a little heavy but not a big deal to me. Suction is amazing. It really cleans well. Assembly was simple. Great value!! Cat hair doesn’t stand a chance. I would purchase this again and again!

  • Great suction!
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
I just unboxed and set up my new Shark Stratos. I used it once and it seems great. I will say it's heavy and sturdy to use. I wish the handle was a bit shorter. I love that everything comes apart for easy cleaning. It's made very nice and and durable. The directions are also great and easy to understand. I think the price point was reasonable. I needed this specific vaccum with three options for thick carpet to LVT. ... show more

  • Very Disappointed – Great Suction, but a Serious Design Flaw
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other buyers should know about my experience. I purchased this Shark vacuum because I believed I was investing in a durable, high-quality machine from a trusted brand. I vacuum almost every day because I have a busy household with several people, so I specifically chose a large, powerful vacuum that I expected would easily last for years. Unfortunately, after less than two months of normal daily use, the wheels started bending. As they became more and more warped, the vacuum became extremely difficult to push. Today, the suction still works perfectly, but the vacuum is practically unusable because the wheel assembly has failed. To me, this appears to be a design flaw. The vacuum itself is large, heavy, and well-built, but the small plastic wheels simply aren't strong enough to support its weight during regular use. A premium vacuum should not become unusable because of weak wheels after only a couple of months. I contacted customer service through Amazon and asked for a replacement of only the lower wheel assembly, since the rest of the vacuum is still in excellent condition. I was told the issue would be resolved and that I should expect to wait one to two months for the replacement. That was five months ago. Since then, I've received nothing. During this time, I had to go back to using my old vacuum, which had already served me faithfully for over five years. Unfortunately, after carrying the workload again, that vacuum has now stopped working as well. The most frustrating part is that this problem could have been solved by replacing one defective part. Instead, I've been left with an expensive vacuum that sits unused because of what seems to be a preventable engineering issue. I truly expected much better from Shark. If this model had stronger wheels, I would probably love it because the cleaning performance is excellent. However, durability and customer support matter just as much as suction power. I hope Shark improves this design and stands behind its products by providing replacement parts in a timely manner. Until then, I cannot recommend this model to anyone who plans to use it regularly. ... show more

  • Game Changer Game Changer
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
I was tempted to save my review on this until I've had this vacuum a bit longer but figured, I now know all I need to know. This vacuum is it! It does what I always imagined a vacuum should do. As in, it cleans up everything I run over without the need to go back and forth 4 times and then bend over to pick it up myself. I have a cat that is a heavy shedder. As if she wasn't hairy enough, I added a great Pyrenees mix to our household. Between the two of them, I am a daily vacuumer. I use either my shark rocket stick or my Roomba (in the rare instance my kids left the floor clear enough to use). I've been watching over the past few months as the hair just kept piling up. I was not getting anything clean, I was just keeping the rolling hair tumbleweeds at bay. The Shark Stratos gave me a whole new level of clean. Not a hair left to be found. I have mostly hardwood but have rugs in each room. This vacuum transfers surfaces easily with the switch right at thumbs reach. The suction on this thing is not joke. Several of my area rugs can only be cleaned in the hardwood setting. The carpet and area rug settings are too strong. On those rugs, the hardwood setting still does the job. The rug in the pic above had been first vacuumed same day by my Shark Rocket (8 yrs old and most likely in it's last leg). I was over this rug and thought it couldn't be saved. I was no longer able to get the imbedded hair out. I was simply vacuuming the top layer. It was gross. Then I vacuumed ONE time with the Stratos. Jaw dropped. I could list the pros for ever but instead, I'll just say, this vacuum is worth every penny and then some. I will without a doubt purchase again. Instead, I'll cover the few cons I have found. This vacuum is a beast! It's heavy. I say this with the caveat that I am coming from a smaller, lightweight stick vacuum. The up, the stratos does such a good job, I don't need to use it daily. This will be my every other/every third day deep vacuum. Next, the hose is not ergonomic when you have it detached to use the attachments and for vacuuming the ceiling, etc. I would prefer to hold the hose itself instead of the handle. I think the air filter in it could be a bit better. I have sensitive air purifiers in my upstairs and downstairs. They will sometimes start cleaning the air when I vacuum. I don't say this to deter anyone. I think that the stratos will solve this problem after using it consistently. There will be much less dust and dander to kick up in the near future. Is there such a thing as too strong? I'm used to vacuuming around all the Legos, nerf bullets, etc. With this, only roll over what you intend to remove from the floor. Personally, I don't see this as a complaint but I've seen people say the craziest things in their reviews. Thought I should cover that. ... show more

  • Great upright. Disappointing lift-away vestiges.
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
Shark Stratos AZ3002. Pros: Great cleaning. Picks up dirt from previously vacuumed carpets. If you plan to use this only as an "upright" without the lift-away feature it is a fine vacuum. Buy it. Cons: Maneuverability isn't bad, but is nowhere near my old Shark UV810 that it replaced. There are only vestiges of the "lift-away" feature that helped make Shark successful with vacuums. The powerhead is wider and heavier, as is the lift-away portion. The wider powerhead may look like an advantage but it is not. I was disappointed my old UV810 had such a small head until I used it and found how easily it maneuvered under and around things. It could also be "steered" easily by turning the wrist. It could even be used easily on stairs with the lift-away feature and with the power button on the removable portion. The on-off power switch has been moved from the lift-away portion where it fell right under the thumb while carrying it, to the handle. Fine for use as an upright, but now need a third hand to operate it as a lift-away or when using tools. The dust container on my Shark UV810 emptied cleanly and easily. It convinced me "bagless" vacuums can be OK. As others have said, the dust container on the AZ3002 is a disaster. Popping it open with the new lever approach sends dust everywhere. Closing it up again sends dust everywhere. I am exploring solutions but it may require taking it outside to empty into the trash. The cord on the AZ3002 is shorter than our old UV810. This is more annoying than you might expect. Features other than pros and cons: The brush roll does seem to be self-cleaning as advertised. It is no longer "brushes," but fins. The old brush was easy and economical to replace. The main roller on the AZ3002 is no longer replaceable. We'll see if it holds up. The brightness of the lights on the AZ3002 disappoint compared to our old UV810, but are fine. They still don't work with the wand and tools. Several reviewers found the cord stiff. I wouldn't have noticed. Yes, as others have noted, tools will not stay on the storage pegs. Plan to carry them around with you. In summary, the AZ3002 excels at cleaning rugs and floors. I miss the convenient lift-away features on our old UV810. I always used it with the lift-away separated, which is now impractical. ... show more

  • Best sweeper since the Kirby in my opinion!
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
I have had lots of sweepers. This one is by far the best one I’ve had since the Kirby in the 1980s. I have hardwood floors but also some large rugs. I was amazed how much dirt the Stratos lifted out of the rugs. It was confirmation on how poorly the other vacuums performed. It has a button at your fingertips to switch between floor surfaces instead of bending over to switch it at the rollers. There are three attachments. Two of them have a storage place at the bottom of the vacuum. The third one is the pet power brush. The pet power brush does not have a place to be stored on the sweeper. The dust bin is easy to take off and dump. It dumps from the bottom with the push of a button, so your hands don’t get dirty. It has headlights which isn’t a big deal to some people until you’ve had a sweeper with headlights. The cord is way longer compared to other models I’ve had. I was worried the second time I went to use it because it wouldn’t turn on. I thought oh great!! I got a lemon! I found the reason it wouldn’t turn on is because I didn’t have the wand properly connected. Honestly, I can’t think of anything to say bad about this vacuum. If there’s anything that I think people would complain about its the weight. If you’re looking for a light vacuum, this is not the one for you. If you want a sweeper that will actually suck the dirt out of your carpet/rugs this one is hard to beat! PROS: Self cleaning Dual brushrolls : Has a place to put a scented pouch (optional) : The best suction since the vintage Kirby : Three attachments including self cleaning pet power brush. : Floor surface switch at your fingertips. : the wand detaches in 2 places so you can make it longer or shorter. : Dust bin dumps from the bottom : Has headlights : Longer cord compared to others. CONS: heavier then other models (but worth it) : If the cord is wrapped up it gets in the way of the dust bin when reattaching it. ... show more

  • Almost too many pets? This is the vacuum for you.
Style: DuoClean w/ Odor Neutralizer
If you have 8 pets like we do, this is the vacuum for you. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 guinea pigs. Forget about the oink oinks for a sec. The dogs alone shed enough to power an industrial pillow factory that makes pillows filled with dog hair. We have a golden, a shepherd, and a jack russell. The cats are shorthairs but they also add to the hair chaos. The pigs. The hay they eat goes everywhere and... they throw their poop. They don't tell you that they throw their poop btw when you buy these things at the store. My point is that this is the only vacuum so far that has been able to keep up with vacuuming both floors of the house. Is it heavy? Yeah it is heavy as heck. I'm not a scrawny dude and honestly it's not like the easiest thing to wield. Is it big? Yeah, I mean it ain't small y'all. It works on every floor. Carpet: theres nothing like this thing for picking up hair off of carpet. What surprised me the most was how dirty my hardwood floors were that i thought the dyson was handling fine. It's very easy to put together out of the box. Also, when it clogs up, there are only so many places you need to check. My one pet peeve is that the dust container design is subpar. There's a lot of room for stuff to get stuffed up. It usually makes a mess of dust around where you dump it out. That's why i empty it in the big shop trashcan in the garage. Heck sometimes you might even need to vacuum around where you just emptied the vacuum, hah! Anyway this thing sucks real good is what I'm saying. I think the price point is perfect is for how well this works. Hope that helps. ... show more
