So far I have used this vacuum twice and It's a pretty strong stick vacuum. It works really well on carpet and hard floors. I like that it is so versatile. You can use the tools with the stick extension or attach the tools directly to the vacuum for closer jobs. It definitely has a great suction which I love about Shark vacuums. Shark has been one of my favorite brands of vacuum tools. I have used the navigator, i have a cordless hand vacuum that I use to clean my truck that works great and I had a Shark robot vacuum at one point as well. Shark vacuums have just been great machines all around. I will say the reviews about not being able to stand the vacuum up is only somewhat accurate. If the dust bin and motor are attached as you normally would to vacuum your floors then the weight of it will cause it to fall over. The roller brush part isn't wide enough or heavy enough to hold it up. However, there is a little hook down by the roller on the front of the extension tube that is meant to hold the motor and dust cup. If you remove the motor and place it on the storage hook it will stand up perfectly and become a little more compact. It distributes the weight and BOOM it stands without issues. Love the light on it too. It lit up dust and dirt I couldn't normally see. I can use it under my bed which I like because my pups like to lay under it with the toy graveyard. It's a nice machine for a 856 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. I mostly have hard floors but it works great everywhere. Pretty decent price too for $125. The upholstery tool and brush tool are combined. To use the brush they must be together but to use the upholstery tool you push the release button and the brush will pop off to reveal the upholstery tool. Pretty nifty stuff. As other reviewers mentioned there isn't a place to store the tools but to me that is a minor inconvenience. ... show more

This vacuum has been a game changer. It cleans up dust, crumbs, and especially pet hair like it’s nothing — carpets, floors, even under furniture, no mess stands a chance. The suction is strong, and the motorized brush does wonders on pet hair and debris that always seems to cling to everything. It’s surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver (even up stairs), and the fact that it converts into a handheld makes cleaning couches, car seats, and hard‑to‑reach spots super simple. The XL dust cup holds more than I expected — so I’m not always stopping to empty it mid‑clean. The LED headlight helps a lot when I’m vacuuming under furniture or in dim corners and I’m often shocked at how much dust shows up once the light hits. Great for dog hair, has lights on it to help see the dust. Good suction. It lays flat, and has great maneuverability, it can turn very sharp, going easily around corners. It can fit great under beds. Vacuuming dust from under beds is a breeze. Dust cup can be easily removed and filter cleaned. Good cord length, good value for the money. Just wish it was lighter, if you have shoulder pain, I would get a featherlight one. Now cons: heavy, does not stand on its own, will fall over. This is my second Shark Rocket I have Purched, to replace my old one, which I had for years! This is the best Vacuum, as it does have the self cleaning beater bar on it, where one doesn't have to worry about hair, string getting tangle in the bar! NO cleaning it. Has lights on the bottom of the vacuum, also when using just he top! The suction on this is really powerful. On carpet and switch to a lower speed for floors. Doesn't scratch any type of floor and runs smoothly! Has two filters in it that I wash a couple of times them replace with new ones. Has a nice long cord on it. Doesn't come with a bracket to hang, I have one from my older vacuum which is nice. You can purchase this and filters for a small price! I won't buy a Shark unless it has the self cleaning bar. This vacuum is PERFECT! I don’t mind the chord at all, because when I get in a cleaning spurt I don’t have to worry about needing to stop to recharge the vacuum. I can just move the plug to a different outlet, and the battery life is never a concern. We have 3 dogs, and this thing sucks up hair with EASE! Hardwood and large area rugs are clean, it sucks up dog hair with no issues, because it’s powerful, and the storage container dumps in the trash so easily, even though it’s a little on the smaller side. My one and ONLY annoyance is that the vacuum does not stand on its own. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, but for storage you need somewhere to hook it to the wall.
