I've had this vacuum 3 months now and I'm really impressed. I've had Shark vacuums for years now and I usually get their pet, upright vacuums. When my last one died I was looking for similar and wasn't finding a "pet" one at the time, but this kept popping up and seemed the closest. I really was not sold on the auto-emptying station and thought that was unnecessary...but after 3 months of daily use, I love it. Is it needed? No. But does it make life a little easier - yup! I was the worst about finishing up vacuuming and not emptying the vacuum and having to empty it mid vacuum the next time, but this handles that problem and I really love that about it. I do have to remember to empty the bin on the base, but I usually remember before it's too full (usually, not always). I bought an extra set of filters for the vacuum and base and find that so far they need to be swapped out/cleaned about every 1.5 months (as i'm coming up to my next swap out). As for the way it works on pet hair - AMAZING! In our household we have 3 long hair cats, 2 golden retrievers and a goldendoodle that sheds worse than both goldens combined. It's the best vacuum for pet hair i've tried yet. I was really shocked that it got the dog hair off the carpet and backdoor rug that does not like to give up the hair no matter what i've tried. I use to vacuum my living area rug and then take one of those pet hair rakes to it to get the hair off, but this vacuum picks up all the visible hair so I haven't even felt the need to do the pet rake. It has 3 modes and I find I use the eco mode the most. The mid-range mode has so much suction it sucks up my smaller area rugs and the rollers stop working, so I just use eco mode on those and they are low/no pile so it works really well. When I get to the living room area rug it's considered a low pile (but plush) and I use the mid-range mode that auto speeds up the brush, and it picks up the pet hair great. On my backdoor mat that is one of those heavy duty get-the-water-and-mud-off rugs from HD, I use mode 3 and that gets it all off in a few swipes. Things I wish they would change on future models: I wish it just started on eco mode and not the mid-range mode. Or at the very least started where you left off the last use. I wish there was a way to boost the suction while on eco mode like my last Shark did. That little trigger boost was really handy. Battery life is good. Suction is great. It's just really a fantastic vacuum and i'm very happy with my purchase and will hopefully have it for many years like my pervious Sharks. ... show more

Absolutely love this cordless vacuum. Works well, but the best feature is the automatic empty tray. So easy to use and easy to cleans. It’s a great size not to heavy, easy to swap to handheld and picks up dirt great.

I love that this is cordless, lightweight, and works very well. The accessories are easy to change out. My only complaint is that the battery lasts only about 30 minutes when you run it on high. However, when running it on high, it picks up light, dusty footprints from my hardwood floors, so it doesn't bother me too much. The battery run time is just about perfect for getting my living room, dining room, and kitchen floors done in one charge. The battery charges pretty quickly, so after it charges I'm able to get my other three rooms done. It's easy to switch from carpet to hard floors with just the slide of a switch. I've had it for about a month and have only had to empty the canister twice. I don't have it memorized yet on how to empty the canister, but there are instructions on the vacuum itself, so it's not a big deal. It also does a good job of picking up hair, whether it's my fine, thin hair, my son's curly hair, or the leftover pet hair from my home's previous owner's four little dogs. ... show more

I've had for a while now (about a year). Its lightweight easy to use. Long battery can run a 2300 sq ft house and still have battery left. Love the self empty feature (have to empty maybe 2x a month due to having 2 four-legged kiddos and birds). All parts are easy-ish to clean (All plastic pieces and then the filters). Cons: The vacuum has a small holding chamber. You can hear a difference in suction when u reach copiaste with 2 dog i have to empty 2 to 3 times to finish cleaning. The chamber also has a place that get dirt stuck and there's no way to clean it (My OCD goes crazy). I really wish they had the feature of the hose can fold so you dont have to bend over to go under thing like my old shark did (Loved that feature). Feel free to ask any questions. ... show more

It works very well. It’s just a little lightweight but you’re also not paying $300 for it, so It serves its purpose and the price is reasonable for people that can’t afford the more expensive ones and it’s also easier to handle because it’s so lightweight. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this Shark vacuum three weeks ago and am very impressed. I'd gotten a cordless vacuum about a year ago, cheaper than the Shark, and it lasted about a year. It still functioned but turned off every 10 seconds. I got a second one a week or two prior to the Shark and it didn't start initially, and subsequently was unreliable, so I sent it back. The Shark was a bit more expensive and it's a real treat, stronger than the first two, very durable and well-designed to go around corners, etc. I like the dust-lighting feature that points out how dusty the surface is, and what sort of progress is being made to clean it. The only fault I found is that it doesn't let you know how much of a charge it has left. In other words, the vacuum can stop working in the middle of cleaning and requires a charge. This isn't a major flaw and the super aspects of the vacuum overall are much more important. ... show more
